I dont mind him taking off his helmet. What I care about is him taking it off in dumb situations. Like how Jorge did it in halo reach. That makes sense. In a base. That makes sense. Just not in combat.

That opening shot with the Spartans on the ridge is gorgeous. I really hope the potential they’re showing in these trailers permeates the whole season and not just 2-3 good episodes like last time.

I'm fine with that, if it introduces show viewers to the idea of an Arbiter, and then in later seasons we get to see Thel Vadam become the Arbiter after the destruction of the first Halo like we do in Halo 2

So what I'm seeing is that the first bit of the season hes gonna have issues with wearing the armor because he's alive again and trying to understand everything that just happened from season one finale and then the cov strikes that's the no armor combat we see and then finally they kick it into gear. Real talk: it's probably part of a common actor's contract; to show the face of their asset. There are a lot of shows/movies nowadays where helmets are getting removed for little to no reason (Antman 3). Mandolorian somehow kept it long enough to cause small drama over it.
While this does look really good I’m nervous that the whole season will be the fall of Reach and that shot of the Halo we saw in one of the teasers will be the last shot of the season. Don’t get me wrong that would make for a good season of television, but so many good shows I like have been cancelled prematurely and I’m worried about Halo joining them before we even get to the Halo

Dear writers about Chief, one important part is his character development in the games is his journey from more machine and hardened soldier to being softened towards his human side. This gives depth to his character and the contrast, helps us relate with his story. I think it would’ve have been good to add this. It’s kind of like Data in Star Trek, machine to human
U gotta understand the Spartans were kidnapped and trained to be machines to act upon the will of their government. Chief was kidnapped as a child, experimented on, many died in the program, and conditioned to be loyal

Halo took extra time to release season 2, saying they went back and corrected the errors of the 1st season and added more real looking CGI effects. Shogun halted production and went back to redo the entire storyline. And Daredevil Born Again overhauled its entire showrunners, writing team and production. Whether or not these changes have made the shows any better remains to be seen but the trailers do look good.
CGI wasn't the problem. The problem was them using the Halo characters and universe to tell a completely unrelated story that had nothing to do with Halo so they'd have an automatic fan base and an automatic big budget.

After season's 1 failure, the more clips I am seeing for season two is brining me hope and I'm started to get excited.
