Joey was brillant, no doubt. But Jay just defines the next level. He is so clean, precise (comes close to Gavin Harrison) with a new dimension of variety and technique. Pure metal drum evolution....and I love those little nearly jazzy fills.
@@jayweinbergfans I have to disagree. Jay is the only guy to try an replace Joey. He was the right choice, but no one can replace the almost black metal presence in Joey's work. Same goes for Paul and all he did in the band. He was Slipknot and the band has lost its way since he passed. Alejandro is barely adequate and tortilla man just needs to go. Corey an clown are too full of themselves and wanted ultimate control to the point of even firing Chris. Slipknot is a commercialized shell of itself now, much like what Metallica became. It's all about the money now and not the true maggots and the music.
@@chettwettman6892 I definitely think they still care about the music, but yes I agree, Corey and Clown are scumbags for they've done to the rest of the band. Chris was my favorite member, and when he left, it broke my heart. Since then I've slowly started becoming a big fan of them again, and I'm enjoying their past two albums currently. But it's just like Kanye, horrible people, but great music. I still give them ad revenue for their channel but, other than that I won't support them financially anymore
@@lilyluhtwizzy They care about selling the music. They have lost all connection with the band they once were. Please listen to Purity live from 1999 in Minneapolis then listen to any live version of it from 2017 on and tell me they are still the same angry hungry musicians. They're not and it's sad AF. It will never be the same and I think most of the new shit past the gray is just garbage.
Probably his best performance of this song to this date

@@nou-__-7287still after all this time huh. Sad
Joey are Proud of You play, for sure, miss that we can`t see Jay and Joey Together on one stage, Epic Draw !
I wouldn’t say that, if Joey had his way he’d still be in the band. Likely what killed him.
Lest be honest
This isn’t the first time you’ve watched this
(^o^)🌹🕶️
I love his technique of playing everything perfectly
just amazing! ❤
So fucking great!! Loved every minute of there concert last year!!! Amazing performances!!!!
Jay's a beast
R.I.P Ziljian crash and china cymbals 2020-2020
You'll be surprised how strong are a custom cymbals they last for years
Jay is epic
2:35 ik this is about jay, but the samples and dj that kick in here are so cool. i REALLY want to see more turntables and samples in the new album.
There usually is a lot of them they’re just very low in the mix and hard to hear, but there usually is quite a bit of them
i cant get over the 2:00 when he switches bewtween symbols and snare so fast
This make me headbang for 2 minutes
Better than the Zildjian video.
AMAZING JAY🤘

Jay is very good, but I miss Joey and Paul. Slipknot just isn't the same without them and even Chris.
Agreed, but the new members bring a new side to slipknot and it’s still great and I’m sure Joey and Paul are very proud.
