You know Andrew, thanks. You don't post often, you don't cram sponsorships in your videos, you don't use your channel as a soap box to express an opinion that has nothing to do with any content you've never posted a video about.... I love it. It really is great to get a genuine video of someone playing a game they love and enjoying it. You're one of the few creators that I do look forward to show up on my screen with no expectation that it happens daily, or weekly. If I see your video show up, I generally get it up and going to at least listen to. I may not go completely focus on the video because I'm doing my own thing on some other project, so I'll just put your video in the background, but, when I hear the scenes of singing and the scenes of complete panic when getting attacked, absolutely brings my right back to see the shenanigans that happen. ;) Thanks!
The large H2 tanks placed in a row like that sorta look like targets for a traveling carnival's cork-gun booth. Let's hope Reavers don't get the same idea. The Railgun turrets look like they were purchased from some huge retired battleship, and are now the base's defensive line that enemies better not cross. Those poor solar towers so desperately wish to contribute to the base's power system. I swear I can almost hear them begging for someone to set up a Go-Fund-Me to cover the repair costs. Kanajoshi mentioned an upcoming new collab with you. Looking forward to that series. 👍 Increased H2 capacity on the Barrista for more flight time would be a good upgrade.
When you're struggling to get that bottom block in on pillars, instead of turning upside down and trying to aim between the lowest block and the floor, you can hit the 'B' key until you're placement is 'Align with local grid'. I only found out about this recently and it makes awkward building a breeze now.
A AMG Sandstorm build episode would be great. Repaint it and add more weaponry underneath it. Maybe add some rail guns and a way to connect it to the base when it is in the hanger bay. Like a retractable connection point with a walk way on top of it. That also will keep it loaded with all necessary weapons ammo, fuels, etc...
Second! Glad you went with double ended hover buggy. Turrets are AWESOME! When you do the Sandstorm suggest adding belly turrets for ground base suppression and full 360 degree combat. Could add turret control seats and gunner interiors (can you put a LCD screen that identifies contacts within a certain distance, like having battle radar?). Maybe take one of those tiny attack drones and use them as railgun skeet targets for fun? Now you need a defense battery on the Hydrogen tank side....
Having gun turrets that cant aim at objects on the ground is a VERY VERY good thing, lol. otherwise they tend to pound downed helpless objects into downed helpless dust. waste of ammo, especially rail gun rounds.
bro im so happy your welding them ive been asking for like 10 eps man i got my wish its been bugging me for ages happys to see the top part of the base done
maybe you can use the relay blocks to send a message from the fighter to the base to release the fighter drones. so when you are in a fight you can call for backup
47:00 you could maybe put a floor in with maybe catwalks, or inverted armor panels (if thats possible) . so you can walk inside even if its turned over the edge
34:10 Add more rail guns and then add the script that makes them fire in series instead of all at once. You will MAXIMIZE damage done to enemy grids AND it will looks COOL AS SHIT!!!
(tl;dr at bottom) The lag spikes you get near the Sandstorm could be all the blocks deformation re-rendering, and the polygons all meshing and merging and doing weird things. Just a theory, but given the damage on the Sandstorm that is undiscovered, its decently likely. The far less likely possibility is too many lights but SE doesnt usually lag from that on even larger grids. Tl;dr, damage deformation probably causing freezes, or the unlikely being lights.
52:05 Why does that look like the batteries are near DEAD.. it's been plugged in for some time while you've been off building those railgun turrets.. I'd have expected at least half a charge by now.
Those guns are bigger than I had in mind but I like them! You should blow something up with them, maybe the old solar panels that are now obsolete? I agree that the next project should be the AMG sandstorm. It probably needs more guns too for when you go on missions.
So i haven't actually tried it yet but i believe splitsie mentioned a way to get around the rotor weapons not firing below 90°. If you point the weapons horizontal while the hinge js straight you will have the full range of movement. As the base position will be 90 it can go to 90 to point straight up and -90 straight down.
Hey andrew, i think you should build a littel station for bomb-drone at the base, so when you get attack they can explode on the enemy or destract they turret
while you were doing the rail guns i noticed your solar panels are on fire and shot up awesome looking guns the lag may of been the solars being attacked or am i wrong
When you aren't playing for TH-cam videos, do you still try to make your bases look nice? I think I've realised the main reason my own worlds never last this long is because I do not use as many resources as you do because I just stack all of the base parts in an ugly blob of blocks.
It's with build planner. You can find all of the controls if you open a container. They are the buttons in the middle of the screen. If you hover over each one, they tell you what they do and also provide a shortcut. Off the top of my head I don't remember which one empties the inventory, but it might be ctrl + middle mouse button.
Even though your playthroughs were interesting, I stopped playing this game ages ago because it is clearly a scam. It is just to keep people paying for DLC's which don't really offer anything. I am talking about the "vanilla" game. People should not have to add mods to improve the play. That is the devs job. The sim, because it isn't really a game has not changed. There is no food, hunger mechanic. No water, plants, trees or loot etc. No enemies. My question has always been why the hell did they give you a gun and ammo? What for? To shoot yourself when you get bored. Did they intend to add enemies and then think, we don't have to. It appears to be pretty much the same game it was years ago. I am sure they have made money but stuff all development.
While I agree their prioraties are out of order, I actually really appreciated how they do DLC. The name sake is free, and you only pay for extra decor blocks. So take the signal update. You get the signal block, reciver, and the chat spamming block all free and you only pay for the extra deco blocks included with the DLC.
I think this game reaches a specific target audience. It appeals to those for whom the process of coming up with and implementing ideas is the fun, not a single endgame goal. The devs have provided us with a sandbox; building the castles is up to us. It is not a game that appeals to everyone. I do think the combat opportunities in singleplayer are lacking, which is something they are fixing in the next update with more dynamic AI enemies.
It's hilarious how people miss the point of this game. What other game allows you to modify at this level and even create your own enemies if you're bored? And what other game is so affordable and still supported? This guy is complaining about $3 while he probably subscribes to OF. LMAO

Exactly this. I love his wholesome, calming, fun content!
Thank you for those kind words! You made my day :)
I second this. Randomly found you and have binged watched 35 episodes in 2 weeks while working on a coding project.
The "hovercraft" looks like it escaped Boston Dynamics 😂

Those are some very thicc turrets. And I do love your random singing.
The sandstorm is a large ship, but I would love to see you try a mega sized battle ship with these type turrets!

Today I learned.
these are the most beautiful twin railguns i’ve ever seen. as someone who struggles with large custom turrets, i commend you
I must say i really like the untarnished white of most of the base. It gives a research center vibe, and i love it!
We need to see those railguns in action! :-D

Those rail guns are massive I’m getting Dune vibes from them
bro im so happy your welding them ive been asking for like 10 eps man i got my wish its been bugging me for ages happys to see the top part of the base done
your hovercraft looks a lot like the Moon Buggies they had in the UFO series, very cool
maybe you can use the relay blocks to send a message from the fighter to the base to release the fighter drones. so when you are in a fight you can call for backup

Thanks for the tip! Hopefully next episode resolves that with all the AMG Sandstorm work we'll do.
@@AndrewmanGamingit's AMG sandstorm garage wall that's damaged not AMG sandstorm
Could make an atmospheric barista and not even worry about the hydrogen.
Good idea
52:05 Why does that look like the batteries are near DEAD.. it's been plugged in for some time while you've been off building those railgun turrets.. I'd have expected at least half a charge by now.
amazing

I like your longer episodes
Been watching this series while on deployment. Appreciate ya. When are we gonna get a ship episode? Repair that thing and fly!

To simplify if you remove and replace the guns at a 90° angle they should be able to see anything.
Oh my god thank you so much for welding that I never commented obout it but it was such an eye sore
I can't believe you built these massive gun installations and then didn't demo them for us. :C
Hey andrew, i think you should build a littel station for bomb-drone at the base, so when you get attack they can explode on the enemy or destract they turret
YESSS HE LISTENED YIPPE
Remember the fighting drones , ypu need to set them up to come online when a enemy gets close to base
did you know i got space engineers and 4 dlc’s because of your series
Rotate the rail gun placement 90 degrees and you could have it aim at the ground some.
Good point, now that I block off half of the elevation, I could definitely rotate it 90 degrees!
Well let's hope they don't accidentally end up shooting each other
Great videos. Entertaining and inspiring. But what happened whit your solar panels on the hill top.
What would be great is an ai defensive block on the base. Still no ai defensive blocks!
52:18 they look like tortoises
Night time battle with new turrets please😃
I'm sure some reavers will swing by to see the new weapons soon!
It kills me every time I watch you go to the sandstorm to get energy. You have an open roof, but you always enter from the further side
while you were doing the rail guns i noticed your solar panels are on fire and shot up awesome looking guns the lag may of been the solars being attacked or am i wrong
I have a 4 rail gun turret protecting my base and it is a monster
how do you get the build vision wheel-
ctrl + scroll down gives you the old menu which I use most of the time, and ctrl + scroll up gives you the new wheel
Can you recomend any servers that have Europa that are open to anyone that does not have it set that your bodys have to eat?
When you aren't playing for TH-cam videos, do you still try to make your bases look nice?
I think I've realised the main reason my own worlds never last this long is because I do not use as many resources as you do because I just stack all of the base parts in an ugly blob of blocks.
how do u empty your inventory without open a container?
It's with build planner. You can find all of the controls if you open a container. They are the buttons in the middle of the screen. Off the top of my head I don't remember which one empties the inventory, but it might be ctrl + middle mouse button.
was the new name of the ship not Amg Snowstorm?
Yeah it will be called the AMG Snowstorm, but only after we do all the work and repaint it a new snowy color.
Not gonna lie, your base looks like a prison
Third and wassup andrewmangaming
First
It's kinda ovel
