Women in India have often found, thrust upon themselves the burden of taking care of the household single-handedly , an image of a stay-at-home mother tending to her children on foot-and-hand has been enshrined for generations in our patriarchal society. Aashna talks about how her mother refused to tolerate the abuse any longer, broke away and toiled hard to earn a living for her two children. The engendered role of a woman's sphere of life being contained within the sphere of the household is a myth as Aashna explains how her mother's occupational involvements never hampered her growth as a child. She is a social media influencer, TH-camr. The vivacious and charming Ms.Hegde keeps her large family of over 5 lakh subscribers entertained and duly updated about her life and her little quirks. She draws inspiration from her mother, Ms. Pakkhi Hegde, also a famous actress and will discuss her experiences that she lived through which helped her flourish into the dazzling personality she is today. After hearing Aashna I'm totally speechless. Aashna you're an amazing, kind, and the best inspiration for all the girls I truly admire your honesty, polite and sweet nature whenever you talk about your Mom and specially talk Khushi it feels so overwhelming and reminds me and my sister who's 10 years older to me. We both had childhood in different boarding school my Di use to come visit me all the time when she missed and mostly our Parents were in United States for making our future bright. Now that we are together she is happily married having one daughter and she's soon going to be a Mom again I love taking care of every moment of Pregnancy and also taking care of niece playing with her all the moments are really overwhelming and love this time it also reminds me when I was young she use to spend all the time with me playing, grooming me and cooking all favorites dishes. Now, I'm doing same thing with niece it's just like a blessings of God and our Parents. We are great faimly together.

My father keep discouraging me by saying that women don't need to have a job, if your husband is earning why do you want to work! just sit and eat!!
Men with so closed minds will not understand what it is to be self independent for a women, even a small paying job means a lot!
I have seen my mother ask for money to my father, and him asking reasons for every penny she spend, if she want to buy something she would have to hear tons of remark from him, even tho she's the only one who saves up!!
Growing up in such environment, I had developed a deep disgust towards marriage that I don't think I'll ever be able to settle down with someone.

The vibe at my house is so negative and growing up in such an environment is mentally disturbing.
