The combat is so realistic. Even when she’s dominating, it looks like a desperate fight to keep from getting killed, and the natural stumbles and the way she staggers from the weight of a larger opponent’s blocked attack lend a very unromantic quality to the whole thing.
Whether it is realistic is certainly debatable. What I liked so much were the two voices in her head. At first I thought it was incredibly annoying, but over time I learned not only to appreciate it but also to use it. Especially in combat, for example when the voices tell you that you are being attacked from behind.

I loved the first game, mostly because it’s fantastic atmosphere and creative way of depicting psychosis. I really hope that continues in this game and that it’s not just an action game with Senua…
It will be. Fighting seems better than previous one and I really like the tone of the game again. Also freaking Heilung have made the whole soundtrack, so I bet it will be a great game. I can't wait for it.
@@sourakotsos That's exactly what I'm worried about. The first game wasn't just the fantastic atmosphere, but also the very distinct personal story behind the journey itself. This, unfortunately, could very easily be style over substance and not hit the personal and emotional levels as well as the metaphorical significance of the original.
Yeah the first game gave me the most uneasy feeling I’ve ever had playing a game in a way that horror games never have. Complete mindfuck of a game especially with the headset on

I loved the first one except for the puzzles and fighting. I am so completely unpracticed for souls-style combat that even at the lowest difficulty I couldn't manage some bosses in ten tries. And then you'd spend two hours walking around the same area to do a puzzle and I could never figure out where I was to go find that solution in a youtube video :(
Looks outstanding can’t wait for the game.
😮Hellblade is unmatched. The story is unique alongside the voices that feel like your own (another unique idea found nowhere).
Easy there Samantha. Lots of game have come a long way in graphical fidelity and immersiveness.

@@fullfildreamzI love Senuas Sacrifice and this sequel is shaping up to be something hopefully really amazing and emotionally impactful. That being said, I don't think it's necessary to bring other games down to bring this game up, it doesn't need it. We can love Senua's sacrifice while also loving other games. It stands just fine on it's own without needing any comparison.
Jesus... this game is gonna be historical. Just impressive. This actress is insane. The way how she looks, stares and screams set another layer of beauty on the game! Masterpiece!
I remember walking into this game ( the first one ) completely unknowing of anything about it, literally installed from game pass out of boredom... boy oh boy... life altering game. If the second one was to be even half as good as the first one, it would still be a masterpiece.
Finally, something to truly look forward too. The soundtrack is a masterpiece ofc expected nothing less, its just beautiful.
OMFG, I am so stoked for this. I have the feeling that Ninja Theory will be on the big guys' map after this. Senua 1 was a gem of a game. Will do it again somewhere before 2nd ones releases. I highly recommend!

love everything about this--same-but-different story/tone, senua a little older & dealing with different issues, the music, the character/overall design... super excited for this!!
I just started playing Hellblade to get ready for Hellblade 2 and it is a truly amazing game even after all these years.... highly recommend.
Hellblade is the closest thing in videogames we have to berserk.

obviously i meant originally video game ip's aligning with that gritty dark feel, not counting adaptations of berserk, which funnily enough don't deliver that as well as this does.

I’m already tearing up watching the trailer. The first game was so impactful for me
One of my all-time favorite takes on psychological horror. I absolutely adored what they did with the first game. Norse mythology is a terribly underutilized setting for horror specifically, and combining that with an extremely personal and intimate depiction of psychosis is such a cool idea. The game makes you feel on-edge at all times with its eerie whispers that feel like they're within your mind, its dark and brooding setting, its brutish and notably spooky enemies, its grounded combat making you always feel like the scales will tip against your favor at any moment.
Very few games have made me feel so uncomfortable and spooked while hardly relying on any jumpsacres or in-your-face horror. It's all about the atmosphere and the incredible sound design.
Needless to say, I've VERY much looking forward to this sequel :D
For like the last 10 years there was pretty much nothing interesting to me on XBox, but since this Year it is getting more and more I want to play. It is quite a stretch to buy an entire console for a few games, but witch every gaming event there is more I am interested in, so I'll see that I maybe get one in the future
Hellblade 2 is coming to Steam. It had the Steam logo at the end. I feel you on wanting to play console exclusives, but I refuse to give these companies money for an entire console just because they won't release games on other platforms.

Man such nostalgia from this game, I had the first on pre ordered and so excited to play from teaser trailers, when it was finally released I played this amazing game fresh after my first break up was 18 at the time and this game was just here for it all, and now I’m 25 for the sequel I’m way to hyped such a masterpiece !!

A lot of you guys don't realize Senua's saga is the best game to ever exist since the beginning of time. Forget the the graphics, it's the definition of gaming experience.

Her behavior during combat is so realistic, its like shes actually fighting for life! 10/10 acting and voice acting
My hope is that they didn't choose style over substance. The first game did so well because it had a lot to it and the characters were relatable.
Just went to a Heilung concert last month.... to say I'm excited is an understatement

Best thing you can do, I think this is the first generation I won't be getting all 3 consoles, there's just so much to play with game pass. I think I will be borrowing PS5 from a friend a few months and call it a day

Visually this looks incredible I really love how the combat looks it looks desperate she knows how to use a sword but not an expert and it really feels like every swing is bleeding desperation to survive one more

@@Matchplains Does HellBlade 2 take place in a dense populated city, with instantaneous load times? No it doesn’t. You also need to consider that Hellblade 2 was created using Unreal Engine 5, while Spider-Man 2 was created with the same engine as Spider-Man 2018

As someone who had heard voices all day long for three years, I can only confirm how realistically such psychosis is portrayed here. It doesn't surprise me that psychologists are said to have worked on the game.
The voices differ like different people. They comment on your behavior, your movements - everything. They also talk about you among themselves, and of course mostly negatively. There are usually one or two main characters and others who come in and disappear again. Often it is babble that is difficult to understand from many people, sometimes it is suddenly very clear, direct and loud from just one person. Frequently recurring phrases in this game like ”We know what you're thinking.” and ”What is she doing now?” or ”You're looking for us everywhere, but we're in your head” are some that you hear very often. Some sentences come up over and over again, sometimes hundreds of times in just one day. It is very difficult to concentrate in such a state. As if you could watch yourself gradually losing your mind. It is important not to forget who you are. You can't lose yourself.
All of this and much more was presented excellently in the game. I couldn't help but be amazed. I'm really looking forward to part two. Big praise to the development team, who, in addition to the extremely good depiction of such psychosis, also created a fantastic game.
am using 2 monitors, IPS and Oled and I I highly recommend putting Oled required xD
