    The reason I'm here is that I drive 5/16" screws into concrete all day long as an electrician and every bit I try out fails the same way, the magnet shatters. (Racky, Vega, Malco so far) My recommendation to you One Tool A Week Guy is to actually use these tools and tell us about performance differences. My plea to the comment section is whether anyone has found a good performer for driving 5/16" tapcons into concrete. I've heard rumblings about the Makita Impact Gold debris-free nut setters, but I'm looking for 4" or 6" lengths. Please and thank you!

      Are the screws you are using hitting the magnet?

    I would like to recommend the nut driver from the brand AKM TOOL, which is also available in long length and is a good alternative. I feel it's okay.🤣

    Great video. I have both the Malco driver, and the Wiha set. Both are quite excellent tools. I also have the Malco Connext handle so I can use any in the handle.

    Malco all the way that reversible magnetic one I use the 1/4-5/16 for work I do Havc and use it daily zipping in screws all day long not only that when the metals shavings get stuck all you do is pop it out and clean it off and your hood again

      I do HVAC also the malco switch is good I only use it for units though. The hex heads strip to easy and I can't grab screws with just the chuck as easy. Tip though if you use duct mate tape. The non switch heads are easy to clean out.

    I had the Milwaukee shockwave 50 pieces impact ready bits.
    But I think I am gonna get that Wiha set once I have some money! Wiha and Wera are SOLID brands with great quality control, the price is a bit steep, but they re precision machined German tools!

    issue with the dewalt is how far back they put the pivot point.

    Malco is the way to go but sometime I use something that is a little slimmer for appliances which I keep the Milwaukee extended set(1/4, 5/16). Great video man! Keep it up!

    Got to looking around and kind of surprised how many magnetic nut drivers and bit drivers I have accumulated. I do have and like the Dewalt drivers and the Malco 1/4 5/16 size as well a couple of the Malco Connext hand drivers.

    • @OneToolAWeekGuy
      @OneToolAWeekGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @garydudgeon
      @garydudgeon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OneToolAWeekGuy I do have some older generic 1/4 magnetic drivers that get very little use now. They are sort of first generation magnetic drivers that are 1 1/2 inch long. The Dewalt and Malco are pretty much my favorites now.

    I’m trying to find impact non-magnetic nut drivers that have hallow shafts for long bolts 😔
