- Just picked up the New Klein 7 piece Magnetic, Hollow, Ratcheting Nut Driver Set 32950. This set is different than others I've seen and the Ratcheting Handle is a Bonus. I also think this is a great option for a bag space saver.
In this video I share the cost, features, and my initial thoughts to help you decide if you might need this tool... or need to pass on it.
Hope it is useful & THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Competition is driving Innovation and our tool bags continue to get better and more efficient.
Yeah, the last several years have been pretty good in tool innovation 👍
These are absolutely sick!! Can’t wait to get mine delivered..any electrician who does strut, these are gonna be epic!!!
I think so too. It’s nice to have both features
Thanks so much for yet another shoutout. Looks like a slick set of drivers. My co-worker just picked up a set from what I hear, so I'm gonna get to check them out soon!
👍👍
Good tools as usual & good demo ... Thx
Appreciate it 👍👍

This is exactly what I wanted from Klein before the KNECT sets came out! Will probably pick this up too. Thanks Joey!
👍👍 if the magnets stay put, this is a good set.
Thanks to Joey we can keep Klien in business for many many years to come😂. We surely appreciate you Joey and the channel, I love it!
@@Jesus_Strong appreciate that brother 👍👍
They are one of the few companies that have been putting out new tools in the last few months it seems. I don’t want to be a “Klein Channel”, but somebody else has to come out with something 😂
Why isn't Klein making any of their new stuff in metric? I want the Knect pass through socket set, but I'm not going to waste my time and money unless they start making a combo SAE+metric set.
They have very few metric tools out there for whatever reason 🤷♂️
Maybe because they are based in the USA
Construction uses SAE material therefore SAE tools.
Probably cause they concentrate on electricians, I am an electrician, and I probably never need tools on millimeters for electric parts
get the gearwrench and crescent. Won’t regret it.
Going shopping 💵 you always find the coolest tools.
They are pricey, but compared to the other sets that aren’t hollow or have a handle.. it’s not bad.
It is absolutely worth it, klein has been selling those sockets for years, but they are chrome and are sold individually without the handle, so obviously, more expensive
👍👍… I think compared to the price of other sets, it’s the way to go.
@@MORGANSMaintenance 3 or 4 weeks ago, I got some of the old sockets, spend about 50 dollars and I still do not have the 7/16, 1/2 and the handle.
The 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 are shooters and you can also get a 10 inch long 9/16 chrome
@@alvilla701 I’m not sure I’ve ever seen those… I’ll have to search and see
@@alvilla701 I found them.. the Power Nut Drivers..
That's a clever design they have come up with it. I can see it being popular based on what you have said. You will just need a stronger magnet to pull out metal debris that gets inside them.
I think they are a good option to have… good tip on the magnet 👍
Oh man I need to get these now.
They are a nice option for nut drivers (in my opinion)
These are sweet! I also like the handle. I need to pick up the new passthru 9 in 1 also. How cool would it have been if these were 2 in 1. Like the 8 in 1 hvac screwdriver that has a 1/4" and 5/16" magnetic slide tip. Just needs a donut magnet and a 5/16 hole in the shaft.
That would be pretty cool 👍👍
I’ve been looking for hollow shaft drivers harbor freight had a great set that lasts long but discontinued it. This set looks good
I really like these… being magnetic and hollow is a nice combination
This is a good idea.I have also purchased the AKM TOOL brand on amazon....I think it is ok
👍👍. I hadn’t seen those, will check them out.
Caution: I had a bad experience with buying a Klein tool on Amazon a few years ago. I had a Klein nut driver that lost the magnet that I purchased on Amazon. I contacted Klein customer service and was told they would not honor the warranty because they don’t consider Amazon as a “authorized” seller so I had to eat it. Klein’s C/S stated that if I purchased the same tool at Home Depot it would have been covered, so needless to say I haven’t bought any Klein tools on Amazon since.
Good to know. That’s sometimes the case on all tools. 👍
I have to have the klein hollow magnetic. That is a game changer for me. By the way the wiha suck. Magnets come out within a week with impact use. Even the ares are better. I currently have 2 sets of the klein ones that arent hollow and heavily use them all day everyday. I love them because the shafts are larger and magnets are so strong compared to any other brand. So i broke the shank on the 9/16" one driving 3/8 screw anchors into solid concrete which is quite the task for an inpact driver. Those bits are designed with a hex at the bottom to fit a socket on. I took a whole set and welded the proper 3/8" drive socket to the end of each one and then put a socket adapter in it. Now i can use them with a 3/8 impact wrench or an impact driver. And the bits are now longer to which is nice for a 2nd set for that extra reach
That was the one thing I’m curious about on these were the magnets. Will have to see how they hold up with impact use.
Good to know on the other Kleins and Wiha 👍👍
I got the two Klein sets mixed up lol got the magnetic nut setter set thinking it was the hollow set 😅 now i need to get the other one 😊
That’s what I’d tell my wife too 😂
Could you try full length toilet bolts with your M12 Surge to see if there is enough room/angle? Thanks
It’s probably going to depend on the toilet, but I just tried it on the American Standard in my house.
With the length bolt like what I had in the video you have just enough room, it’s close. You could use a right angle attachment with it for sure I think on ones it doesn’t fit.
I will probably use this with a ratchet.. I like being able to feel how tight I’m getting with my hands.
If they made their adjustable length hvac driver ratcheting, I would buy it if it was $100. I could get rid of a whole driver!
My guess is they can’t do adjustable length in the shaft and the ratcheting mechanism… but who knows, it could be next. Klein has been hammering out the new tools.
Great now my Christmas money has somewhere to go.
Tried to catch everyone before you spent those gift cards 😂
I haven't checked myself, but does Klein make tools in metric?
Very few. The screwdriver set I showed in this video that was $80… they sell those in metric, but it’s few and far between
That’s great for over your way. Here it would need to be metric.
They do sell a metric individual screwdriver set like the ones I have… so who knows, maybe one day.
Do you use the Klein reamer tool?
I have a conduit reamer with a 1/4” shaft to go in my impact (or a screwdriver handle).. but I think it’s Dewalt. I only get it out if I’m doing a bunch… if it’s just a small job I can normally just ream and de-burr with pliers.
@@MORGANSMaintenance the Klein conduit reamer hand tool is nice for tightening down couplings because it prevents you from falling off.
@justinmartin8458 I see that feature on it now… my bit doesn’t have that. 👍👍
Does the ratcheting screwdriver handle ratchet in the direction your turning the driver?
It is reversed. If I turn the knob to the left, it allows me to tighten a screws… to the right, loosen
@@MORGANSMaintenance ahh ok, I never understand why they do that, if I’m tightening a screw it should go the same way as the ratchet like some drivers but most out there are reversed like the Vessel ball grip which causes me to slip while tightening and winds up in reverse lol.
@@Jesus_Strong yeah I agree with you… it would make more sense to be the other way around.
@@MORGANSMaintenance I never understood why companies do that, especially annoying with the Vessel ball grip. But that set is a nice set, do I need it? No! Do I want it? Yes! Thanks brother👍🏼
After about a month of heavy use on these hollow magnetic nut drivers with an impact i must say these are a fail. Ive had the 7/16" and 1/2" magnets are destroyed and are basically jus super deep sockets now. Very little magnetism. The kleins with the full magnet that arent hollow are the best ive ever used tho. A hole through the magnet is jus not sturdy. Same thing has happened to my coworker as well. The concept is great butbit doesnt hold up
Appreciate you sharing. So your magnets are gone (destroyed), or don’t work anymore?
@@MORGANSMaintenance the magnets have chipped away. Didnt pull out. Breaking inside the bit. Has a slight magnetism still but cant even hold a tek screw without falling right out
@@bossmanz28 👍
Good thing I got paid today...
😂😂
Why don't you check out vessel bit holding ratcheting screwdriver
The ball handle one that holds bits on the shaft? Or the clear one that holds bits in the handle? I’ve had both in my Amazon list. I may get them one day… I really like their ball handle drivers.
Is the handle hollow to use the flip driver set at different lengths
No, it’s not 👍
Wiha out Klein in 😂😂😂 take my money 🤑
If you are in the market for them…For $10 more, that’s the route I’d go 👍
you talk a lot of sense. also, I haven't seen the hollow magnetic ones on lowes site yet?
They have the just magnetic ones… 6-Piece Standard (SAE) Hex Nut Driver Set www.lowes.com/pd/Klein-Tools-6-Pc-Color-Coded-All-Purpose-PND-Set/5014351841
But these don’t come up anywhere but Amazon, Haus of Tools, and Acme… as of now.
Damn no 11/32?
The way they’ve done the flip sockets they will swap that one in their next set for $50 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance that's how they getcha!
