There are a lot of calculations that go into whether to accept a trip or not. Destination is one of them. Most drivers completing Quests don't consider destination and end up going all over the place, sometimes with dead miles (riding back without a passenger).
ATL driver. I stopped doing quest because they lowered base fare pay so the only thing that would happen if you pursued quest was breaking even if you made your quest. If you didnt make your quest you took a whole lot of shitty rides for nothing. And the reason why your uber surges were still somehow garbage was likely because all of ubers surges are completely fake now. They will offer rides with high surges (so they say) but then they lower the base fare to take away the entire point of having a surge in the first place.
the lyft ride does not add up for me, i drive lyft and they would never offer me that rate, forget the surge, that rate is astronomical for a sunday morning with no traffic. for me to see a price that high it would be over an hour long to like NH or RI, these experiences are not the same for all drivers, and i promises you that as a fellow driver her in boston.
it may be because of the guarantee they were offering you, i had a ride challenge i think the same week you shot this video. they treat us all differently.
Thanks @Uber-BostonGuy1453. In other words, know your market and your area and surrounding cities/towns and choose a destination that will likely give you a profitable next ride. Makes total sense. Newbies won't understand this at first.
Can’t wait for your next upload! November in Boston has been bloody and surges don’t last more than 20 in the morning 😂😂😂! Boston sweet Uber days are over! 😭😭😭😭😭
Question for anyone: I’m looking to start driving for Rideshare (Boston area) but I have no car, would you recommend the rental service to start or just purchase a vehicle?
I would rent 1st to see if you like it. Don't get a car to then find out you don't like Ride-sharing. DO NOT BUY A NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are good reliable used cars that doesn't have great resale value which saves you money. Chevy Malibu, Chevy Cruze is a very reliable car that deoreciates and gets 40 mpg highway. You want to get a car that has already taken a big depreciation hit because you will be packing on miles like crazy. DONT GET A HYBRID BECAUSE THE HYBRID BATTERY COST ABOUT 4-6 I TO REPLACE WHEN THEY DIE. If you want to spend a little more get a Corolla with 100k plus miles to save you on price and you'll still get up to 350k miles if you maintain it. DO NOT BY A NEW CAR BECAUSE YOU WILL DEPRECIATE IT ON A RIDICULOUS LEVEL THEN OWE 40K ON A CAR THAT MAY BE WORTH 15-20K. GOOD LUCK
I also do more Lyft in Washington State. I don't have the luxury of declining one Uber ride after another because in this Market Uber takes away destination information for incoming rides if your acceptance rate is below 85% whereas Lyft here doesn't care about acceptance rates.
the vietnamese accent killed me lol

Hello Uber-Boston guy,
Thank you for your useful videos. - What do you mean by saying many times "Ping"?
Can you please type the correct word?

I wish we had rides like you do in Boston! Vegas rides are usually between 8-15 bucks which sucks compared to your rides.

purchase a vehicle do not rent it will cost you at least 1300 dollars a month , that is enough to finance a luxury vehicle.

@@jmartinez9332 thank you, I appreciate all the advice , much love
If this driver lives in a market which do not have upfront pricing I don’t think he will make any money.
Thanks for creating great content

If you know your area, you don’t have to worry about destination
