My good friend that I've known since school, died a few days ago, I asked him to send me a sign, when driving with the radio on. This song came on and I knew. Wasn't your friend. Everyone does this. Thinks the whole world works around them and strange invisible forces control everything. You could have taken 10 things as a sign as you were looking for that. Of course the love we have and the bonds in life make us think that/
That touched me. My sister has cancer and I don’t know how I’ll cope, but we have the same flesh and blood and she’s a part of me and my mum and daughter and always will be, so take good care of yourself 💝💝💝
My dad would have been 61 tomoz. This song was not his favourite or any special meenjng to him but it reminds me of a day that sticks in my memory., we were on our way fishing, nothing special, nothing amazing but it sticks in my mind and always pops up in mg head more than any other memory does of us being together. Happy birthday.xxx Would just like to thank you all gor the kind words.x
Why is there today no such fantastic music anymore? Like in the 70s, 80s and 90s with so many totally different bands and styles . It still is so fresh. A very very underrated band.
I'm 68 now and I have a 33 year old son who is into alternative rock. He has introduced me to some great bands of his generation...Radiohead, Travis, James, The Cranberries etc. and more recently bands like War on Drugs, Cage the Elephant and Arcade Fire, just to name a few. My son knows all the bands that I loved like this great band and he loves them all. There is great music and crap music from all eras, you just have to look for the great kind. It helped that I have a son who enjoys my music as well as his. Broaden your horizons and you'd be surprised at how some of today's music is very good, even great.
I want it now, I want it now Not the promises of what tomorrow brings I need to live in dreams today I'm tired of the song that sorrow sings And I want more than I can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget I'd walk to you through rings of fire And never let you know the way I feel Under skin is where I hide The love that always gets me on my knees And I want more than I can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever I want it now, I want it now Don't tell me that my ship is coming in Nothing comes to those who wait Time's running out the door you're running in So I want more than I can get Just trying to, trying to, trying to forget Nothing ever lasts forever Nothing ever lasts forever All the shadows and the pain Are coming to you
