This is so amazing. This song is such a great fit for c.Tommy’s character. And the way you animated this was absolutely heart wrenching. He’s been through soo much as a character and has been forced to change in so many ways to survive that he’s definitely not the same as when he first began. This is so amazing and embodies him perfectly!

He gave up his discs for them, his citizenship was revoked due to his relationship with Wilbur - Tommy has done more for l'Manberg than anyone expected, himself included 0:35 - 0:36 - I just love this frame I can't explain it 1:00 - 1:02 - Tommy giving up his discs combined with 'hard on her(him)self' works SO WELL - I hadn't even thought about the idea that Tommy felt guilty for losing to Dream and dooming l'Manberg, hence him giving up his most prized possessions. Why must you hurt me in this way? 1:19 - THE FACIAL EXPRESSION MAN 1:28 - Tommy reaching for his past, resilient, self HURTS 1:44 - 1:50 - I love these frames as well! For a similar reason to the one at 0:35 I just CANNOT place my finger on why! 1:53 - 1:58 - Tommy staring at himself and saying he doesn't want to be that person is so sad. 2:06 - 2:13 - FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AGAIN LET'S GOOOO 2:13 - 2:14 - GREAT transition 2:23 - CHILLS 2:24 - 2:31 - Everything about the way you draw this is perfect - Tommy's exile design is so sad, Dream's is just terrifying and the way it lines up with 'when she is bruised and gets used by a man who can't love' is PERFECTION 2:31 - 2:35 - Tommy hiding from Dream reference? Or metaphor? Or BOTH?! 2:46 - 2:50 - Tubbo and the discs are the fire/light in Tommy's eyes/life and that's so cute 2:53 - 2:55 - WHOA THAT TRANSITION THOUGH 2:58 - 3:01 - the way Tommy is grasping at his old self(?), who is now nothing more than just a whisp of mist is heartbreaking - he really can't ever be that person again 3:02 - 3:08 - Frozen 2 vibes. But joking aside OUCH and AMAZING 3:23 - 3:45 - Tommy starts to cry looking at/thinking about his death in prison - his death in prison ended his hope of being happy again. Just as he was returning to normal - moving past his trauma and spending time with his friends - the rug was pulled out from underneath him and he was brutally killed, suffered in limbo, and is now afraid of Dream once more, especially now that Dream is out and determined to (and I quote) "make his life hell". He's grieving the death of his carefree self and it HURTS. This is easily one of my favourite DSMP animatics

Yellow and purple are contrasting colours because of their placement on the colour wheel, so it adds another layer of symbolism, as current Tommy and past Tommy are like opposites. Well done, 10/10, I love it.

I’ve watched this animatic so many times now and every time it still blows me away. The lyrics synced with every scene, the animation, the colours, the character designs, the art style, the story, the expressions, the EMOTIONS!!! Just like everything?? I’ve never seen such a deep animatic about c!Tommy... I love how you showed past tommy in a yellow amd present tommy in purple and how you can even see the yellow highlights in present Tommy’s eyes sometimes. Also I love the animation especially at 2:41... the turn around is so smooth :0! And 1:04 HURTS EVERY TIME HIS EXPRESSION STOPPPP MY HEARTTTT! I also just adore the way you draw tears with the little lines under the eyes, idk why but it adds so much.
