Good job on the repair! The coolant look like somebody may have mixed different types of coolant, it will goop up like that. Stick to the same stuff and that wont happen :)
Hey man, the other line for the opti connects to the intake bellows. You’ll see it when you go to put everything back together. That said, I hope your timing cover seals were all in good shape, because if you didn’t replace them oil could leak on your new opti and kill it. Best of luck with your project!
How did you tell your opti was bad ? If it didn't code P0323 or 0335 maybe something else. Petris makes one of the best replacements. Did you get it fixed ?
The uploader has a ‘95, not a ‘96. It does not use OBD2 codes. A failing opti can also happen without triggering any codes at all, similar to a failing O2 sensor or failing TPS.
You dont have to remove the throttle body, my stiching on the bottom seat cushions came undone also the bottom seat is just cliped in unclip it take them out & get them restiched i paid 100 bucks to get my re stiched.
In the video on the instructions you can see he went with MAS. Personally I would recommend Petris Enterprises, eBay user optisparksolutions, or Sac City Corvettes. All the cheap optisparks are a crapshoot, and you do not want to have to do this job multiple times. Spend the money on a properly-built opti instead.
Nice to see a young man work on cars, keep it up. Thanks 4 the vids.
Wow...! I just purchased a C4 1995 Black Vette 87k 2 weeks ago just like yours

Can the cap part of the opti be replaced just like a regular distributor cap ?

I agree. I had the same issue and it turned out to be a bad auto idle control valve.
@@jhhudson47 My 0300 code was a bad fuel pump. C4 has the easiest one to replace of about any car.

Beautiful car 🙌🏼 had too
Since you have to take off the water pump, did you consider replacing it with an electric? I am thinking about doing that with my 95
