I love how they still managed to create tension around Homelander in this episode despite me actually being okay with him murdering those scientists. The writers are too good.

Compound V doesn't give the inability to have kids, you just can't have kids with powers. That's why Ryan is unique.
Also, Firecracker's actress is Kara from Detroit Become Human which is so crazy
Most messed up part is he lasered the door shut too. So she's trapped in there.
And what's even more messed up is he left her with those body parts which are going to rot and bring out an unendurable smell.

Any time I see someone say “he’s such a good actor” when referring to Antony star I just have to recommend the show banshee. One of my favorites. Also stars him in the lead. He’s hella different in it too. Trust me the show is right up yall alley

I cackled like a hyena at the scene with Sage and The Deep. 😆 The way The Deep immediately goes 180 degrees and is suddenly on board with the lobotomy when he gets an offer he can't refuse, and it's hilarious how you can literally see Sage's gaze turn just as stupid and vacant as The Deep's after the procedure! 🤣 Great performance, and the actors must have had such a fun time shooting the scene. I hope they come out with blooper reel from it..! 😅
Also when she's stupid, her and the Deep can be best friends/f buddies. I want to see the trio, stupid Sage, Deep and New Noir together. Our favourite three dummies

I can’t blame Colin for wanting to kill Frenchie. Imagine being Colin and the idea of sleeping with your family’s killer and developing feelings for him. On top of that, he happens to be into men like you? That’s just bad probability at work there.
I hope Frenchie gets back with Kimiko and Colin dumps him.
Kimiko and Frenchie were never romantically involved, she even said that. Their relationship works best for her mentally if she has friends and family not romance

The whole point behind that arch was to show Frenchie's remorse for his actions. He wants to feel guilty, he wants to suffer, he wants to be beaten by the person who would absolutely do so for his actions. Frenchie in a weird way wants to die for his sins. I hope there is still a redeeming arch for Frenchie though, because otherwise it's going to have a depressing end to the story.
Love how realistic this show is. To see them explain exactly how media spin works and then use it in a scene is hilarious. 🤣

I'm quite excited to see where the show is now headed considering Homelander finally killed the last bit of 'Humanity' he had according to him. Also I see butcher becoming a mix of Venom and Moon Knight.
I hope they don’t back track the whole thing about homelanders human side being “gone” now

It’s not good seeing Homelander turning more into a monster, but I’m glad he got rid of them because of what they’ve done and what they could have done to more kids.

The blue stuff is permanent V. The green stuff is temp V. I’m pretty sure Homelander would have stopped temp V development after he took over Vought.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of people have been confused about this detail. "Temp V" and "Compound V" aren't the same thing.
Also there's PERFECTED Compound V (which Soldier Boy and Stormfront have) and then Compound V that vought makes

Antony starr deserves an Emmy nomination after episode 4. He plays homelander so good; probably one of the best villians in tv history.

I think temp V messed up both Butcher and Hughies heads, and they're both hallucinating.
Hughies mums isn't actually there and everything he did at the hospital was himself, who created this illusion of his mum doing it to ease his own guild

I dunno, if I was an elder man in a coma and my kids gave me V to bring me back to life I’d be all for it. That would mean I’d get more time with my kids and super powers as a bonus.
Also, I kinda think the V Butcher took was absorbed by his tumor or something, and so the tumor had powers and is capable of thought or something. I think when Butcher blacked out, the tumor came out and killed that guy to protect Butcher and I bet Jeffery Dean Morgan is the tumor thing trying to talk to Butcher. I don’t know that all may be veering into bizarre territory.
I love how Barbara compares Homelander to a “creature of myth” when describing how Homelander lasered his way out of his mom, murdered a bunch of hospital staff, and was just levitating with the umbilical cord still connected. Such a crazy mental image.
It's ironic that Homelander killed the last of his humanity by doing what was, despite the sadism, a morally justifiable deed.

Where do so many people get the idea that Compound V makes you sterile? That was never stated at all. Powers weren't typically passed down, until Ryan. Soldier Boy is Homelander's dad. Homelander is Ryan's dad. Victoria Neuman has a daughter. Stormfront said she had a daughter.

Best episode so far in season 4
So far, the throughline for this season seems to be about past sins.
Antony Starr & Tomer Capone are really killing it this season, and Karen Fukuhara's expressiveness is always fantastic. Also a shoutout to Jessie T. Usher giving some nice subtle but readable emotions with A-Train.
It's those performances that which get me through the gore and absurdity.

The incident with Butcher in the trailer seems to allude to an episode of the Diabolical animated anthology series where a cancer patient was injected with Compound V to cure but instead caused the cancer to mutate into a super powered parasite
They really should check out Diabolical when they finish Season 4
It's criminal how few people react to Diabolical. It's a great series and gives crucial backstory to Homelander and Noir

I have watched this episode a few times and gave seen several reactions. I just noticed something in this reaction that I did not notice at all before. When A Train runs into Homelander's Penthouse the pages of the magazine open up and it looks like they're not meant to be touched. Homelander will definitely notice that the magazine is open. A Train is on borrowed time at this point. Not to mention Homelander probably knows exactly how many viles on compound V are he has in there. I mean he's a lunatic but he is not stupid.

We've seen plenty of supes kids on Gen V and they only have powers because of compound v and not because their parents had powers. Compound v doesn't make you sterile in the the show universe.

A-Train Gave Hughie Compound -V (Blue )
Butcher took Compound V (blue) after he found out he was Dying from the Temp-V.
( Frenchie gave Compound -V To Kimiko after she Lost her abilities. So Butcher would have had Plenty)
And I think that Parasite worm Going through Butcher is/Was the Cancerous cells in his brain. It Maybe Healing Butcher slowly .And Its Possible That Butcher is developing abilities of his own plus the Ones from the Parasite.
And when threatened ...Butcher was passing out Maybe the Parasite took over? Similar to a Jekyll and Hyde situation??
( I also think his Visions are from the Parasite (Trying to communicate with Billy) Becka is the Good in Butchers Personality and I think His aggressive extremist side is His old CIA friend (Who i think is also a vision) I could be way off... I like being surprised when My theories are Wrong. lol

So i think supes arent sterile because newman also has zoe but what it is is a coin toss on if the supe powers get passed down or not because you got people like ryan, andre(rip chance), or maverick who have the same powers as their parents.
Did we ever get confirmed if Andre and Maverick were naturally born? Maybe those with similar DNA 🧬 such as a parent and offspring will end up getting similar powers with compound V
@@reptileemperor6452 Those children were dosed with Compound V in utero. They did mention it. Ryan is an anomaly, as he wasn't dosed, but still developed powers.

In the previous episode when I saw the lobotomy tool I genuinely thought that Homelander had permanently lobotomized her because he couldn't handle her criticism. I was shaking with rage. I'm kinda relieved that its just a disgusting way of winding down in the evenings.

Because of this, I think Sister Sage will kill Firecracker in the Season Finale.

Agreed the first three episodes were so Boring and way too heavy handed with the political stuff.
This was hands down the best episode of the season. Definitely not of the shows as a whole. The homelander stuff was obviously some of the absolute best, but a lot of the rest of the episode had the same negatives that have made the first 3 episodes pretty poor overall.
