Any suggestions for “no air printers found”? I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. In order to print from any of my Apple devices iPhone, iPad, MacBook I have to turn the printer and the device off. Then turn on the printer and then the device. For some reason it’s losing the connection with my devices. The printer is connected to same Wi-Fi as my devices. Thanks for your help.
Well (9 months later) mine does the exact same thing. At least now I know from YOUR post that I can turn it off & back on to get it to print. I worked on it a few weeks ago & it printed something for me but I now realize I did this off - on thing. Guess that’s what I’ll have to do. Thx for your post.

The PRINT logo is light not bold so something isn’t connected and I’ve spent the better part of the day problem solving to no avail. I’m about ready to jump off a building. So frustrating.

If I hit Print, it gives me a print box, then says it cannot communicate with the printer. Both devices are connected to the wifi. I also installed the HP Smart app and it sees the printer, although I had to input the IP address of the printer for it to find the printer. Any thoughts?

Is there anyway to prevent it from doing this? I have downloaded a bunch of printer apps but they don't seem to offer any option for headers or footers. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

And a few months ago I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 13, an I've literally NEVER been able to print one single thing from the phone. It's beyond frustrating. Always get printer offline message and have to unplug and replug EVERY SINGLE TIME for my laptop, and nothing works for the iPhone. When I contacted HP about this issue when it first started a few years ago, they told me it was the type of router I was using. Since then I've gotten 2 new routers, and a new printer (same model HP Photosmart 7855) and the problem persists. I've already read lots of reviews of various printer types that talk of the same problem, so it makes me think that it's going to happen no matter which one I buy. Oh, and I connect my phone directly to the printer with a USB cable and it STILL does not work. Can you please tell me what to do about this? It's absolutely maddening.

Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi

Problem is, HP printer became offline when I needed it. While wifi offers convenience, it does not have the reliability of a corded connection to the computer for fool-proof printer usage.

It's the same way as an iPad. The square up arrow may be in a different place but I mentioned that already in the video.
Make sure you’re connecting manually through your printer to the phone and then it’ll pop up as a printer option
