Gen2 Raptor Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement

  • In this video I replace my 2019 F150 Raptor’s driver side Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly to try and get rid of an odd pulsing noise below 25mph. I make the swap despite no obvious damage and the fix ends up working.

    Vacuum Pump (IWE MUST HAVE VACUUM DURING INSTALL *cut off the large side of the 90 degree black rubber piece and use just the straight part over the large IWE barb)

    This was my last and final issue I had with my Gen 2. 2017 65 K miles and issue included Cam Phaser Rattle; blown engine; turbo went out, catalytic converter failed; rear differential grind; AC wire ground failed; and the one in this video did it for me. Traded mine in for a Gen 3 so far 13 k miles no issues just a software update. Thanks for these videos I do enjoy watching them.

      Congrats on the Gen3! Hopefully I don't have too many issues...I'd like to keep her till the second or third year of the Gen4, but you never know. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    HAD EXACT PROBLEM. IM CURRENTLY REPLACING HUB AS I TYPE. THANK YOU MAN. IT WAS HELL TO ORDER A HUB FROM ONE PLACE AND A ACTUATOR FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. THIS GIVES ME HOPE AD ITS APART. I have been doubting the bearing being shot because its not like any wheel bearing on anyother trucks ive owned no slop or play. Only reason was the noise at 15 mph coasting abd the feeling it the wheel and brake pedal. Meased with the actuator a ton but still it came back but was not consistent. Thanks again!!!

    If you accidentally leave the IWE vacuum hose off the spindle it's not a big deal, you just wont get actuator to engage when going to 4x4 on that side. I do recommend deleting IWE unless you dont want your CV axles spinning all the time and potentially more wear/tear.

      You doing perches or did you "spring" for a full front kit? Their rear cantilever kit is on my list for 2025, but I think I'd rather lose the leaf springs if I can. This stuff gets expensive quick, especially when you have to worry about maintenance stuff when you want to focus on upgrades.

      @@ruffwrenchn2235Front perch collars 3” and rear extensions 2”. I’ve also located progressive shocks that are supposed to add 1.5” and I’d add them if I was sure they would give extra lift in conjunction with the RPG kit.
