Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love. --1 Corinthians 13:13
He’s an 25 ppg scorer at least in his final form, if he can learn how to see the court better and be an average passer he’s a star in the league
Once he sees the court better oh man he's going to be scary
He is a big steal, he has good footwork and fundamentals. Very physical and loves to body guys.
Give credit to the Rockets GM Rafael Stone, this is the third year in a row that IMO he got the steal of the draft. Got Sengün who should be a future all-star at pick 16 in 2021, got Tari Eason who’s a potential double double machine at pick 17 in 2022, and now got Whitmore who’s a potential 20 point scorer at pick 20 in this past years draft. Hopefully the guys he picked with his first picks in those drafts Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr, and Amen Thompson can get it going, if so this squad will be scary in the next few years
Thank for this great video bro. Whitmore has become my favorite Rocket player overnight. He's beast and when ppl try to defend him downhill, they bounce off him. He's 6[7 240 pounds and this is insane for an athletic player as such young age of 19.
Doing some research I found out the his production per minutes is the best among rookies outside of Wemby and Chet.
Man. Both our rookies have been so promising so far! I still can’t believe we got Whitmore at 20!
Amen needs a LOT of work, much more than Cam, but the potential is there. His potential is the highest on this team, but who knows if he’ll ever get there.
@@Blue-no4jti think it’s the opposite
I disagree, Amen needs a shot but everything else will fall in place@@Blue-no4jt
@@oo-oy3wg Why is that? I feel like Cam's shot is a long further along than Amen's. Amen has otherworldly speed and athleticism, and he has the court vision and passing accuracy to develop into a solid passer, and long arms and solid defensive timing. But right now, he's nothing more than a talented cutter who can't shoot, who can occasionally make something out of a broken play. He's out of position a lot defensively as well, so he can't take advantage of his defensive talents yet either like the way his brother is in Detroit. Cam's ability to shoot opens up a lot more for him. Udoka doesn't need to worry about Cam being out there. In order for Amen to be playable for large minutes, he needs to make significant strides on his jumper. But for Cam, he just needs to understand Udoka's system better.
What a steal at 20!!
Dude scored 12 pts in less than 4 mins today in the first q...impressive
Glad 18 teams passed on Cam he and Amen can be our backcourt for many years to come.
It’s perfect too because Amen is a pure passer and Cam is a pure scorer.
It's really crazy how the Rockets drafted Sengun, Eason and Whitmore in three consecutive years and with 16th, 17th and 20th picks, respectively.
That was the only game so far Cam smiled. And he was having fun the entire 4Q. And he chatetd with Jalen too on the sides, enjoying themselves.
His physical tools are identical to Anthony Edwards his biggest concern is his basketball IQ / decision making. If he's instincts improve he will be a hell of a player because his skill and physical tools are top notch
Fax he reminds me so much of ant
If Wemby stays healthy idk guy is a legit unicorn and can do everything but I think when all said n done Amen and Cam will be in top 5 from that draft
Rockets really got a steal with Cam at #20 and Amen at #4. Peep their chemistry already... scary in 2-3 years!
He is Miles Bridges + Jaylen Brown
He is more athletic than both of them. I haven’t seen a player this explosive in years.
@@kareenlearmond4407y’all say that every year
He's doing fantastic but don't sleep on Jalen Green. He's had 3 double doubles in a row. The last game:
36 points
12 rebounds
7 assists.
He’s scared of whitmore taking his position. If he green don’t step up, guess who’s waiting on the bench to start?
See a lot of Donovan Mitchell in Killa Cam the sky’s the limit 🚀🤘🏾
He’s not a steel he just got drafted where he got drafted. He’s a star and he’s a star in the making.
He's my favorite new Rocket. Summer league MVP.
He is still nineteen...NINETEEN!!!
When he was in high school dude looked like a top 5 player/pick in his class.
As a Rockets fan, I’ve been watching Cam since we drafted him. I love his confidence and he’s about business. Not tryna be the fin cool guy. Just wanna be great
he's good
I see some anthony edwards in him
I think his closest current player comparison would be Anthony Edwards.
Rockets might have found their Jamal Murray
Half the time it feels like Whitmore wants to be out there more than Jalen Green.
Seeing him out there is refreshing.
Reminds me a lot of Jalen Brown
The rockets need to make a trade. They have 9 guys who are legit starters. They can’t get all of them minutes.
The fanbase is pretty split on trading Jalen Green now for an older vet and to open up minutes and future salary for Cam Whitmore, and the other half is wanting to hold on to him because they believe he'll either be an All Star or at worst a solid 6th man.
I'm in the first camp more so because I worry about having too many young players to develop at the same time.
FVV and Dillon could be long term, could not be. Of the 2 I'd like to keep Dillon long term for the mentality he brings to the team. Also FVV will eventually have to make way for Amen or find a new team anyway.
While Tari is amazing on the court, I fear his sheer amount of hustle is what leads to him piling up these injuries which he then tries to tough out and hurts himself more. At this point I just want him healthy enough to be a solid bench contributor. So that's at least 4 of the 8. (I don't see who the 9th is)
Yeah all they needs is a big, Turner is an good option, or Time Lord
Simple
Eason
Al-p
Cam
Are no trades
Jabari is cool but ehhh
Green can come off the bench but ehhh
It would be nice to have a big defensive 4. You want to keep those 3 they are going to be nasty
@@comparisonisthethiefofjoy9452i disagree for Jabari, right now he is in “no trade” for me. His defense really helps Sengun a lot, and also younger than Eason, so he still has a lot of time to be better.
@@gredinainggolan4010 can’t pay everyone if I could only keep 3 it would be them
How about Amen Thompson, was he a steal at 4? or was he too high?
He barely plays he’s solid tho guards usually take more time to develop
Brandon Miller and Scoot would have to be busts for him to be a steal
I thought Fred was a steal...
The best player in the draft
Better then wemby you’ll see
No lol
He is a more athletic jimmy butler. Haven’t seen a player like this in years.
ROCKET HAVE TOO MUCH DEPTH, CAM ONLY GET MINS WHEN SOMEBODY HURT.
Looks like dwade
All the highlights are against Charlotte the sorriest team in the NBA
Selfish player.
you clearly don’t watch then
They need to trade Jalen Green and give Cam his minutes.
What would the Rox want back in return for Green?
