Just saw this guy in the summer league against the hornets. He could very well be the next Chinese nba player. His footwork is excellent and his body is ahead of schedule developmentally. I’m also seeing some nice defensive awareness. This is someone worth keeping an eye on. Of course, he may want to stay in China, where I think he can be a superstar. He’s playing against some grown men here it would seem, so better than or equal to really good D1 college basketball players.
I doubt it. Against Japan he looked pretty bad, wasn't able to create anything Jokic-like once tough defense is going on. And he has an unathletic disposition which won't be overcome by working out. The average 6'6 NBA player would drive past him or shoot over him anytime they wish to, unfortunately.
