Okay i am an IDIOT. INESCAPABLE WRATH IS AMAZING! I read it as a heroic intervention.... NO it 100% stops close move blocking and OC bombing an objective. ITS BONKERS GOOD. Its Heroic on STEROIDS!
Was about to type as much yeah, not quite heroic intervention - generally I read it as 'your opponent better be more than 6" away or you can charge them in their charge phase'. - Doesn't even matter that you get no charge benefits for those units as you'd be the inactive player. Meaning you'd get to fight first against something that didn't charge anyway. 😅 Very much owchy. 🤣
Haha I feel like I’ve been going crazy this morning with no one realizing how good this is. You can never get move blocked or have your opponent swipe a point. You get to fight before an enemy unit that didn’t charge, just like a surge move… how do people not realize how strong this is!?
It's enabling the Dark Angels to actually have the separate wings support each other, like they should. Whoever is writing those Detachments is really on point.
Azrael would give a squad of Hellblasters the Deathwing Keyword, which would make them perfect for the Illuminating Fire Stratagem - I think this entire detachment is amazing and you've done a great job covering it! :)
yeah man some really cool stuff to be cooked with in this one! I certainly missed the mark on this strat in my first read through! I appreciate your support!
I love watching your content! I hope you do review all of the detachments coming out , as a tau player who watches your content i think it would be great silly fun for you to review there detachment when it comes out ^^
Technical recommendation to help with a tiny detail. You move your head a lot while talking, which is fine, but the range of your microphone is limited and this causes your voice to sound different constantly. Either try to hold your head still a little bit more so the microphone can properly capture your voice or try and get a microphone that has a better range so you don't have to worry about that. Thank you very much for your content!
How does the enhancement allow turn 1 deep strike? You can pick the unit up end of opponents turn, but the unit is still in strategic reserves and still follows all the normal rules for strategic reserves. It's not worded like the callidus, which specifically says it's not in strategic reserves but simply comes down at end of your movement phase.
The devil's in the detail with how that works. If a unit STARTS in strategic reserves, it can't deploy until battle round 2, but "uppy-downy" units start on the field, then go into strategic reserves, allowing them to deploy T1
The +1 to wound shooting strat is actually reallly good. It helps redemptor dreadnoughts, ballistus dreadnought, repulsor executioner, hellblasters( joined by Azrael). So you pick hard target, use this. Then shoot hin with Hellblasters, ballistus and redemptors and its going down. Thats where it becomes amazing.
That sounds sick. It sounds like it could compete really well for my blood angels liberator detachment for best loyalist Marines melee army.... But we still have to see what blood angels, space wolves, and black Templars get before we know which will be the best loyalist melee army (honestly, as well as the game is balanced right now, it's really up to how well you play. I have evidence.... I build incredibly similar blood angels lists to the ones shown on this channel, yet my win rate is not even close, as I'm only at about 70% win rate in friendly games, and my tournament win rate is 1 win per tournament. So 25% as I have played 8 games in tournaments, and won 2)
this detachment honestly makes me look at outriders as secondary scorer and a nice set up/trade piece. with desperate escape test reroll it basically lets you ignore screening units which was, at least for me, a big downfall of the very melee heavy list that has only really anti tank shooting that is very popular
At first I dogged the detatchment but the fellas here have told me I'm wrong so I've edited this comment because your channel deserves the interaction regardless. I stick by my stance that the hunters detatchment and the unforgiven detatchment still suck really bad lol but who knows maybe I'm wrong about those as well. It really is about player skill and reps as well as mindset so I've definitely come to realize that much.
I hope we can't use gladius in the future. I hate that as a dark angels player, we have to use that detachment. we should only use detachment in our book
Yeah man i agree, the way i see it, non compliant chapters (chapters with their own books) should just not get to use the vanilla space marine detachments
The Lion is not deathwing so he cant get -1 to be hit and -1 to wound. unless you got ravenwing and deathwing also there. and if you do that you have 3 units on the same unit, not good.

Dude, I read every strategem wrong the first time. It's not until about the third time I understand it.
I think everybody got this wrong First and then had the same reaction 😅
Yeah. End of phase and not locked to targeting charging unit. It's a "I charge in your phase strat."

this thing is a monster man! I am so tempted to start it up myself

Illuminating fire on hellblasters with azrael 🔥
yeah super solid shout out man!
The ability to run Ravenwing bikes through terrain to tag enemies seems amazing in this detachment. Pretty cool though.
heck yeah
I love watching your content! I hope you do review all of the detachments coming out , as a tau player who watches your content i think it would be great silly fun for you to review there detachment when it comes out ^^
cheers buddy! i will hit every one of them! so far GW is 2for 2. This is thrilling to me

cheers man! I really appreciate the feedback!
Dreads are deathwing keyword. 1+wound ballistus=awesome.
Ballistus look badass in this detachment yeah!
Illuminating fire works for land raiders redemptors and hellblasters with az
yeah i caught this at the end, much better than i thought on initial read through
15pts to make vanilla captain go turn have dam3 mortals is nuts
pretty solid enhancement man
How does the enhancement allow turn 1 deep strike?

so long as you have deepstrike bud, you can go into deepstrike
You can use strenght in unity on the ravenwing unit then AoC the terminator/deathwing unit
100%
GW 2 for 2 on these new detachments, looking good for all the other factions them. By end of the month 40k will look entirely different

yeah man, took me a moment to recognize it for what it is, but there are a TON of aplications for it
That sounds sick.

play make a huge difference! But i agree this particular detachment is awesome!
this detachment honestly makes me look at outriders as secondary scorer and a nice set up/trade piece.

yeah they have alot of use here, especially for enabling the 7 inch deepstrike charges
I don’t think this is going to sneak up on anyone it sounds really good. I can see it giving gladius a run for its money.
I already have comments about how it "freaking sucks" :P people need the correct person to tell them its good before they believe it!
@ I’m sure AoW will drop their video soon and the word will get out 😂
you can give hellblasters deathwing so they could get +1 to wound :D
pretty funny!

bro... i could not disagree with your take here more. I encourage you to give it some time. there is some amazing stuff here
we must be playing a different game haha. This looks strong.
@@subunya7585we probably are. I need more practice if I'm being honest.
I love how dreadnaughts and land Raiders and repulsors are all deathwing as well hahahaha
yeah i saw that... and like... oooooo this is a strong freaking detachment.
GW with 2 wins so far. This detachment seems really strong but not broken
exactly, i am loving what i am seeing.
How does the Lion gain ravenwing or deathwing keywords?
he does not, a misspeak by me, he could still benefit from the strat so long as the unit is engaged with a ravenwing/DW unit though
You can make hellblasters deathwing, +1 to wound hellblasters? Yes please!
yeah man some really cool stuff to be cooked with in this one! I certainly missed the mark on this strat in my first read through!
Dreadnought and landraider have deathwing keywords...
Yeah i point that out towards the end, it makes that strat much nicer once i dbl checked the wording!
Azrael with hellblasters get deathwing.
heck yeah they do
I hope we can't use gladius in the future. I hate that as a dark angels player, we have to use that detachment. we should only use detachment in our book
Yeah man i agree, the way i see it, non compliant chapters (chapters with their own books) should just not get to use the vanilla space marine detachments
Too many points locked up in high point cost units. That said the synergy is there.
maybe, but we have seen other detachments work amazingly well with high cost units. take DWK gladius for example!
The Lion is not deathwing so he cant get -1 to be hit and -1 to wound. unless you got ravenwing and deathwing also there. and if you do that you have 3 units on the same unit, not good.
yep i mispoke!
First 🎉
LEGEND! Everyone shall remember your name!
GW 2 for 2 on these new detachments, looking good for all the other factions them. By end of the month 40k will look entirely different
this is so exciting, freaking GW earning so much good will right now
