Katy, this is absolutely brilliant! Not only does it look beautiful…but it’s also a way to “cheat!” As a lazy girl who tires easily, I love it. You may need to sit down for this but I have never been to an IKEA. I know, it’s shameful. There is one about an hour away and I’m now feeling the need to take a day trip there. One hour = day trip…ugh, I sound so old. Was Baguette on strike for this one? She isn’t getting paid enough, I bet. Ah well, please send my regards to Her Highness. Wow. You’re a unicorn!!!! This is shocking but not shameful. And, yes, as my friend RACHELE says: a mile is, emotionally, an hour. Baguette was on summer vacation (aka just sleeping and uninterested). Sometimes I think she only likes to interrupt projects with higher stakes, which is really just wet paint.

You would think! But Baguette was just very sleepy and uninterested. Made me feel like she hated the craft. 😂 I’m so impressed by everyone saying they haven’t been to an IKEA. It’s definitely an…experience.
@@jadestone8552 if you ever get to go to one, brace yourself for a whole day out (inside the store itself!). They have a great cafe so you'll b able to sustain yourself. Though, because there's so much to look at it can be incredibly overwhelming and you may just need a cry/lie-down/both at some point. Overall it's a worthwhile struggle akin to reaching the summit of Mt. Everest ...and i'm told that the queues are about the same 🤷♀️
If you’re using chalk-based or water-based, definitely. If it’s latex paint, legally you don’t have to, but I would recommend it (and priming it too) to make sure knots don’t show through, particularly in a lighter piece.
