Hello and welcome! What kind of luthiering do you do?

This is such a great idea because you can actually see what you’re removing! Rather than face down and hoping for the best haha
Does anyone make a file for cutting bevels on picks? I’ve always used my water stones and those four sided toneslab sanding blocks.

I haven’t seen anything specifically for picks. I use nail files for acrylic nails, under the theory that the material is pretty close to whatever pick I’m shaping. I have one of those toneslabs blocks, but it was kinda spendy so I still use my 4-sided thing from the dollar store.

Emery boards for plastic reshaping is a trick as old as plastic! The tool for measuring angles is called a laser goniometer and it’s sadly pretty expensive iirc.

I tried those once and they'd be improved by a bevel. I probably still prefer Wegen or Tone Slab with their slicker, harder material, but worth trying if you have Pro Plecs and like em

Yeah. A lot of beginners start with Pro Plecs, which Is why I started with them - it’s an easy hack that can help a little with beginner tone. Tomorrow I have a new video uploaded with an experiment doing the same with a Blue Chip.
