Most peoples scanners don't fit full 10x10 paper. Old school way to cut divide the painting into 4 pieces switch them around continue painting to the ends. Only photoshop you have to do is clean up cut edges. I found this way makes everything much easier. Only be an issue if you painted something on the vertical and horizontal where it's annoying. Can take hours to days to fix back and forth in editing. Other ways just doing each motif this one would be a monster. I thought I'd throw that out there for people interested in repeats. Lot of rules and a lot of time. Im great at certain things but floral is hard for me. I'm working on it. So different Im not a floral arranger. I found learning to do repeats will help with composition so you dont place things before you paint that may create harsh lines. Great video. Thanks.

Thank you for the real time video and explanation! It was extremely helpful seeing you make and explain the brushstrokes that you made! I have a question, when I doodle flowers I usually draw the center first. I was surprised to see in watercolor that the petals are painted first, and that they should all stem from an imaginary center. I know all flowers are unique, but is there a reason for putting in the centers after the petals? I do understand why we do it when we want bleeds. Thank you! 😊

    • @KristyRice

Miss Kristi,Congratulations on your new subscriptions. I found you & I think you're Amazing! You've taught me more than anybody else I have watched. I enjoy working with various mediums. I always have. Now I'm getting back to watercolor, however I am my worst critic. My daughter, Mary Katelyn ... She's 25 now. How quickly time rolls by. I say " don't blink, essentially when it comes to your children. Anywho..back to my questions & concerns....about watercolor painting & what type of paints that you utilize? I hope I'm correct @ the way you do assist people, such as myself with good products? On a sidenote I really tapped into your U-Tube video in relation to taking time for yourself. Not feeling guilty so much about taking " breathers"for ourselves. I love that message. I apologize for the length of this message...there's solo much that I want to talk to you about. You are definitely my "go to girl!" I hope I can find out just exactly where I can find your response....lol. I don't do social media....until now because you are worthy of my time. Definitely, definitely. If there's anybody " out there who stumbles upon this text? I would tell them to watch & learn or get back into the skinny. Into watercolor painting. That would be prudent for anybody to do so!I know you respond to your subscribers...& I'm gonna find out exactly just how I can accomplish this...lol. I'm bound & determined. Talk back at you soon.
