Kristy, this piece is so so beautiful.....you brought tears to my eyes! I've been watching a lot of watercoloring tutorials and you have such a unique and beautiful style! Really enjoyed watching you create this.....thanks so much!
I love this! I am just beginning to learn watercolor and it is such a fascinating art with so many beautiful ways to produce wonderful results! I'm so glad I found your channel and will be watching many of your videos . Thank you ❣
definitely not beginner level - I realize the there are "tips" for beginners here, but I can see how a beginner might be super confused after clicking on this video. Gorgeous painting with so many amazing techniques are being taught here. I consider myself intermediate level and I am looking for some more advanced techniques to learn and I'm happy to say that after watching this video I did!
pinkrose flash I understand and agree! I like to push beginners a bit so often my tips hover the line between beginner and beyond :) Thanks for watching!
Bless your heart for sharing what you do. Now while I only use student grade watercolor to do brushlettering, what YOU do really makes me want to try some entry level things...just to look into it. I appreciate you do...Thank You. Laura....😀👏🎨
Some good techniques that I will be practising. I am new to your channel and will be watching a few more. I like the loose look and how you can keep going in with more detail.
I'm a professional watercolorist and love watching others work! Your art is beautiful, I've been following your style for years. I travel a lot for live painting and am VERY interested in your brush holder at the beginning of the video. Where did you get that? Thank you!
+Jamie Lewis Artistry Well that means a ton coming from you! Someone else asked about the holder so I need to figure out the brand name. It is from Dick Blick and about 6x10 when zipped :)
Beautiful! Where or how did you learn to paint like that? I've been teaching myself for about 10 months or so now, and I still struggle. When I tried to paint like that with no lines I failed miserably. How long have you been painting? Lovely art work!😀
You are so sweet! Honestly painting without sketching first is so challenging...A great way to oversome this is to sketch a few samples out on cheap drawing paper. There you can figure out some shapes, practice mindful mark making and work out the kinks so to speak! I've been painting watercolor for about 30 years but it is only in the last 5 years or so honestly that I've truly explored my craft in depth.
+Smokey Fireside Creations Thanks! This one is from Dick Blick, its black nylon, about 6x10 when zipped! I don't recall the brand, I'll try to find the name :)
+Kristy Rice Thanks Kristy!!! It was so nice to meet you at BookCon on Saturday. (This is Heather :) ). Thanks so much for personalizing my books. Can't wait to get painterly!!!!
You are great, and i love your aret, but why no picture refrence? I am asking because many other artists are saying that photo reference are good to have and shouldnt be seen as its bad, i just want your insight and view of this topic because i want to find my own perspective , thank you
