Your locs are beautiful and has really given me hope! I too have fine hair, but want thick locs. Seeing how thin your locs started, but flourished into a nice size is refreshing. I am 5 months in, started with two strand twists (wish I would’ve started with coils though) and I’m trying to hang in there and trust the process. Thanks for sharing!
i started my loc journey today i’m loving them so far i see that you put that you wish you got the coils instead of the twist what the difference my i ask i’m new to it all sorry ❤
@@francinemaultsby8530 hi. I just feel like with coils they loc faster and come out thicker. I started my son’s hair with coils two months before mine two strands and it looks more like a one year difference than a two month difference!
I'm glad that I saw your video, because that is what my starter locs look like and I was worried about how small they are. My loctician said don't worry they aren't going to stay small, they will bud and thicken in about 8 months. Yours make me feel a lot better. Thanks for the video
I decided to allow my hair to loc. I've been natural 56 of my 60 years. Decided to start the loc journey last month after seeing hair changes that come along with peri-menoupause. It's time for a natural hair journey that requires little manipulation. Your video helps me to accept that this process will take some time. Thanks for sharing! You are beautiful.
Thank you for sharing! I’m almost a month in and my starter locs look like yours and I’ve been so self conscious and trying to convince myself to not comb them out for smaller locs. I love the way yours turned out!
I'm 3 weeks in. My hair is thin and fine. I'm excited about the journey to see how it will mature. I just started wearing my baby locs out in public on Tuesday.
You have no clue how grateful I am that you made this video❤. Your texture is the closest to mine and almost what I saw when I started my locs a few days ago. I know no two heads are the same, but this truly lets one know that I’m gonna be just fine. Your hair is beautiful 😍
I loved this recounting of your first year loc’d. I’m just coming on 10 months of being loc’d and I am seeing a lot of the budding and locking you showed. Your hair is much longer than my hair was when I started. It will probably take another year for my hair to get to your 1 year length but that’s ok. I love being loc’d and Im here for the long haul.
Thank you so much for doing this video I have fine hair to I'm about 1 month into my lock journey and some of my locks towards the front is thin and I was worried about them getting thick but after seeing your video u made me confident that they will thicken up thank u so much❤ your hair is so beautiful 😍
Great video. It really gives hope to those starting out. When I started it was so thin. I started to do braids, but after a week, I had to take it out. It was like, nothing could come close anymore to the journey and the natural hair. So I completely excepted the journey. Found a style that was ok. One month and a half in, and its ok. Trust the process. Yours is beautiful.
I have been binge watching your one year loc video🥺🥺❤️🥰 honestly you have been the one keeping me from combing them out 😅 am on my fourth set of locs haven't ever reached a one year mark 🤦but locs are so addictive ❤😅😅 hoping to reach one year this time around 😊am on my fifth month now ❤
I didn't have patience 😢and because my hair is fine everytime I visited a loctician for a retwist was told my hair will eventually fall off🥺🥺🥺🥺so this time around I self maintain 🤗🤗hoping this journey is different cause I have always loved the idea of having locs ❤❤
Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏽 your hair looks SO similar to mine when I first started and still every retwist my locs are super skinny but I can tell they’re starting to thicken up and your video was so encouraging 😅
This was helpful. What product did you use when retwisting and when washing? I'm just getting started at my 2 strand twist stage but will continue into the locs. Your hair looks really good. Thanks for sharing
Hi new sub! You hair really grew a lot during the year! It was really interesting to see the progress! Thanks so much for sharing! I’m 1 month in and can’t wait to see budding!!the excitement is real!!😁❤️
Your hair is growing fast! Great recap of year one. I actually started my journey exactly a year before you on 3/8/2019! It’s been a journey and I’m loving it! Your hair looks fabulous! Keep the videos coming. I want to follow your progress!

GLORIANA!! I LOVE YOUR NAME ! And your hair is FAB❣️
Thank you! 💛
The look where you are 9 mo. I like this look, the ends are budding. Did you retwist the roots and not palm roll the ends to keep the hair budding
I never palm rolled the ends I wanted them to stay as thick as possible 😊
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful.
