Ben is the best possible choice to be Tiana’s first date. I have never seen anyone like him in the history of TH-cam or reality tv-a guy who shows such a good and unique personality right out of the gate. What I love most is that Ben doesn’t have tunnel vision in any sense of that term. As Anthony said, he notices the world around him, he’s curious about Tiana, and he’s...just such a great guy. I have to say that what completely sealed the deal for me was how Ben did his best to make her comfortable the entire time; and by the end of the date, she started to come out of her shell as little as a result. Go Ben!

It gets easier in time when you are self aware about it and practice. I used to be terrible with it and sometimes I still am. Anxiety increases my lack of eye contact, but when 8 super comfortable with somebody it is easier, so I try to practice then with ppl I’m comfortable with!

I really want an update with these two.
We are in times when tinder one night stands are not considered dates and the actual dinner, talking etc without sleeping with someone are considered as a date. I think if you see the person for the first time and no matter what you do, it's still a date. I think people should never be ashamed for not having a boyfriend, not having had sex with anyone or kissed anyone even if they are in their 20s. I think it's more disgusting when someone is under 17 and has already done all of this. People forget that there's a thing called "childhood" and it does not include having boys in your life in a shape and form as having sex with them or kissing them etc. I had a childhood until I got 17 and got then my first kiss. didn't sleep with anyone until I was 21 and I was in my first relationship. I think mentally I turned out better human than these people who have had sexual short "relationships" since they were 15/16. People who start their romantic relationships later or right away with a right person, are mentally more mature and see sex, dating, relationship and everything related to that in different light and actually value these things. Society is truly ruined .. I so far do not know any person who has been having sexual one night stands for 5+ years and value the sex as something you should do with emotions and with someone you truly like and not in form as crush. They are immature and childish. To be in real relationship, as Anthony has talked about in his videos before, requires patience and time. If you are immature, jumping like a tarzan from D to D (or V to V), you are still mentally a child and looking for distraction for a real problem.
I am so happy Anothony promotes real dates and having a real communication without all this tinder, instagram, TH-cam kind of ping pong dating society, kind of hoeing around attitude.
I agree with your point but the way it was delivered sounded like you demeaning people because they don’t think like you. Be aware that most had parents who did not tell them what to look for in a relationship and because of mainstream media promoting that lifestyle, a lot just unconsciously learn from that and think that is the way it is. It’s very sad but it’s deeper than just ‘people are disgusting’

Hey Anthony, I stumbled upon this video series of yours, and I have to say, I'm so thoroughly impressed. The way you capture the authenticity of people has a timeless and grounded quality that a lot of dating shows don't have. You have the usual options: obvious fake reality television, pick up artisty stuff, "fake social experiments", drunk 2am post-club interviews, and even millennial laboratory projects like "Jubilee". None of these video series have caught my eye the way your First Date series has. Your videos remind people (who are otherwise lost in our overwhelming social-media fueled modernity) that ultimately being yourself is the goal, caring about your own well-being and the well-being of others. This sort of authentic journey-oriented approach to dating is exactly what I and many others have wanted for a while, but have not seen manifested on youtube before. Hope you continue the series, and I hope to be able to meet you someday to learn more about what's led you to making such great videos.

That sideway good bye hug. I've gotten it after dates. Maybe not as pronounced as her, and maybe just the face tilted slightly away. Always felt it was a signal of disinterest. Like "please don't kiss me" or something. Not sure if it is on purpose or not. At least not a good sign. Not sure where I want to go with this comment, but...
Actually, looking at it again, it seems like he initiated the side-hug.
From my experience, it is definitely “please don’t kiss me” but not out of disinterest but more out of respect for myself and a lot of times we do get kissed when we don’t go for the side hug. I get some men are trying to be romantic but I just met you, you do not have any right to just grab my face and kiss me when I allowed a hug. The full hug should tell you the person is interested bc it’s still a form of affection. If some men didn’t take advantage of a full hug from a woman, then they wouldn’t all get a side hug. Imho Ben initiated the side hug bc he’s aware that’s what will make Tiana comfortable but also let her know he’s interested by breaking the physical barrier.

Yes, the environment tip was PARAMOUNT. I also interact with my environment a lot and when a guy notices this about me during a date it is always a major point for a big sloppy compliment. Lol.

That couple is so cute - great matchmaking Anthony. Tiana and Ben showed a little nervousness which was hard to watch, but they braved it out. (This is why I don't like watching sports - so much at stake - nerve wracking) I'm thinking Ben would have to be really patient with Tiana because without a lot of friend and family support she might easily give up on him, especially if he expects dating savvy from her. That's her first date remember. I notice Tiana's posture shows she needs to work on self esteem. I took a karate class which helped me with my stance though maybe for her try a ballet class. I had an ex that when we walked around the neighborhood he interacted too much with strangers in a weird kind of aggressive way - he turned out to be a stalker. Ben did it in a charming way.

Can you teach personality. I would argue no. I think it’s about if the person wants to change by themselves. Having someone say to open up be yourself doesn’t mean you do it, I would say it makes you less yourself because your forcing yourself to do that.

Bro, I love your vids. Tiana and Ben were a good potential matchup! I'm not a dating coach at all. I do fairly average, I would say. I watch your videos for the psychological intel I can gain from raw human interactions. I'm a medical student, and usually I watch police interrogation videos or bodycam footage for referencing purposes. It's nice to watch the sweeter side of human psychology every once in a while. Thanks for not "reality tv"'ing their interactions. And thanks for honest responses for your reaction videos. I understand that you have an idea for a video and things you want to talk about before making one, and I do take that into account. When I balance the positive and negative bias from a content creator with the raw body-language in the form of micro-expressions (You used one in this vid, good job) with the interpreted intent, I seem to find a pretty good middle ground between what you do to entice viewers and curious folks online and what is down to 100p genuine reaction. Sorry if that seems like an insult, it's a complement. I study humans, and, in my biased opinion, you're a damn good one. You have a purpose, a goal, and something to bring to, not only the platform, but to conversation. To keep this brief (by my standards,) keep up the great content.

I'm more in touch with my intuition so I can go off my gut if I vibe with someone or not and be more playful/flirty cos I'm more in touch with my femininity and sexuality.
