Double wear is my holy grail. I have dry skin and this foundation is definitely not made for my skin type. But I love it so much that I make work however I can by exfoliating and moisturizing very well when I use it. It looks AMAZING when I do. I get the most compliments when I wear this foundation and I find it ironic because it's a formula that caters to oily skin types lol. You are so right about the shade match, if it's not the right one it will be very noticeable.
lalaxo i normally put few drops of EL advanced repair serum in and it works wonder. No more dry patches n cakey look and it add a subtle glow on the finish...
I’ve used Estée Lauder since early 80s . Your make up looked beautiful . I prefer the double ware side for sure ..in the video the coverage looked extremely good at the end of the day . The water definitely did not look as good . Double wear still looked fresh on my side of the video . I’m 64
I have been using this foundation for years applied with a beauty blender and I love it… to make doublewear look a bit more natural and sheer you can just mix in some oil free moisturiser, try a 50/50 mix 😊🌸
I actually mix the 2 foundations (I use more of the water fresh if my skin is feeling dry that day). It helps you keep the coverage in my opinion and stops the clinging to the dry parts. Just for reference I have quite dry skin. The makeup revolution conceal and define is a great concealer with these. Hope this helps someone :)
OMG I LOVE Double Wear I've been using it for like 5 years! It's crazy that it turned gray for you!!! But then again I use the Neutral shades. I definitely want to try the double wear nude but maybe just a sample first.
I have the same thoughts and issues with the double wear. 3w1 tawny is either to neutral or slightly pink. Therefore, obvious on the skin. I would recommend shade 2w2 rattan. The water fresh looked soo much better
I work for Estee Lauder, and if tawny is not light or ashy I wouldn't recommend 2w2 because thats even lighter than tawny. I would try somewhere in the 4 range. (but then again I would really need to see your skin color face to face) :) and ps the water fresh it is oil free, but its supposed to be a dewy finish so perfect for dry skin
Completely agree I have the same problems with DW. Originally was recommended tawny, then she’ll beige, then cashew! Now I have finally found my perfect match which is honey bronze! Getting the correct shade really changed my opinion on the foundation.. so I deffo recommend you try the honey bronze as we are extremely similar with foundation shades! Xx
I just got the original double wear and found that is goes on really well if you use a wet beauty blender to sheer it out. Without using the beauty blender it would look way too heavy and the colour mismatch would be too obvious. I'm also having trouble finding the right colour match because I'm light with yellow undertone and most light foundations are too pink. I purchased 2W1 Dawn and it's the right tone but would be too dark without using the wet beauty blender and blending super well. It's a bit of a tricky foundation to work with but it truly does last longer than anything else I've tried (my previous go-to for years was MAC Studio Fix Fluid which is the most comparable formula I've tried but the Double Wear lasts way longer), and I barely need any powder, whereas with other foundations, even with lots if powder, I still get oily throughout the day.
Double wear is still my holy grail . It gives best results when used with a beauty blender x you can easily sheer it out . Then Problem is ppl put way too much , you don’t need much and it gives the most beautiful doll like skin . Absolutely love it .
I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with double wear. I have oily skin and live in a hot climate so I tend to get shiny very fast. But the double wear just brings out all the texture on my skin, especially pores on my cheeks (with or without primer), settles into fine lines and it really sucks the life out of my face. It feels great when I first apply it but a couple hours in I'm patchy and it just looks terrible. Really want to love it but unfortunately doesn't work for my skin :(
I also really liked the water blend side, so much more healthier looking, but then again I love a dewy look over matte. And girrrrl, I feel you on the ashy/gray part of the foundation. I struggle big time with full coverage foundations. It always is around the mouth too, smh lol. Loved the lip color!
That's so funny. When I went to Estee Lauder counter, they matched me with Tawny. I took a sample home and tried it on one time and I looked pale as shiet. Had to take my makeup off. I tried Shell Beige and that was too light for my skin as well. Then just few years ago, I got matched to Cashew. And that is my perfect shade. I seriously doubt the ppl at the counter know what they are doing. Argh. U just have to do it yourself.
me toooo I am struggling now I got matched with Fawn 3W1.5 When I tried at the store I looked very my colour she gave me sample and I then used it at home. It was a lil bit pink and got brighter during the day. Today I just went to the store agian asked them to try Cashew but the sample was finished :( I tried Cashew a bit it looks dark in the first but after 1 hour it seems blend well with my skin tone though. Still undecided. Anyway good to know there are many people same issue as mine.
@@natnichasrichamnarn3570 I am an Estee Lauder Beauty Advisor and make sure they're using iMatch when matching you for your perfect shade. That little tool works wonders. Also, make sure to make them swatch the foundations while you're in store because the iMatch gives us two shades to work with. Hope that helped! xo
@@alexismoberly9538 Thank you very much for your advice. They did use the machine to match the colour though. I don't know why but this formula, Stay in place, it is getting brighter hours later. But the nude one, colour doesn't change much. So I ended up with 2 bottles, Cashew for stay in place and Fawn in Nudes lol. Stay in place is really the best :)
Ugh they matched me with 3n1 and I looked like a grey pink ghost. I returned, bought two more, tawny and wheat. Tawny oxidized so bad on me and wheat worked great but cashew is my summer shade
I completely agree about the shades. I use Double Wear but my foundation is not a perfect colour match whatsover. I reckon Estee Lauder need to improve their colour shades, maybe introduce more shades. I'm actually using 1N0 Porcelain. Alabaster is like a white mask so neither are ideal. I definitely must try this new foundation! I prefer the Lighter foundation on you, Less drying and less grey
Fawn is the latest color on EL double wear it’s a shade darker from tawny ... I love the way it looks on me it is a yellow / warm base tone. And I don’t get a grey color at all.. you should try a sample of fawn :)
I got matched to tawny as well and for some reason tawny is a weird color for everyone. It goes on lighter then anticipated. I go one shade darker and use a lighter color of powder and it counter acts it. The worst thing is too dark foundation. Another thing to watch for with double wear is contour colors and bronzer will pull gray or ashy. Thanks for the review.
I just got color matched for that new foundation in Tawny too. Yes I did comparison at the store and I liked the new water fresh more. It’s nice, my skin is more natural and perfect coverage. I have healthy & nice skin so water fresh works for me. I ordered it because that shade was out of stock. So happy I went home with a gift of purchase as well. Also bought the pump, so surprised Estée Lauder finally got it in. People were getting it from Mac.
One thing I love about the double wear is there's practically no transfer... I hate finding my face on my clothes lol... was there any transfer with the waterfresh?? Also I find the makeup doesn't work too well with me with beauty blenders I usually use a brush then use a normal sponge to take of any excess grease/makeup
I agree, me too. I find the beauty blender takes off the moisture/moisturiser from my skin therefore very drying. Brush is better to apply then beauty blender to set the finish.
They recently added more shades to the original formula. I would definitely get rematched and make sure the I match tool is updated w those new shades. I find when you build it up for more coverage is when you really see how the color looks on your skin so that is another recommendation when trying it on. Also for people with dry skin or that love the coverage but want more of a natural or dewy finish, mix the foundation w a hydrating primer or serum and that will alter the finish.
You should try 2w2 rattan is your shade 3w2 tawny has more of a pink neutral undertone I have same exact skintone as yours and i tried the double wear cuz everybody raved about this foundation I tried the shade tawny cuz the girl that was working there recommended me to try tawny and convinced me that it was my shade tried it hated it it looked so ashy Estee lauder was a no no for me for 2 years and One day I felt liked giving a shot again With The shade 2w2 Rattan which was nice and yellow undertone and it looked flawless throughout the day 😍 now the estee lauder double wear is my holy grail for 2 years Whenever i wear any other foundation I seem to always go back to the double wear On the days when i need a lighter coverage or dewy finish I mix some facial oil gives me a flawless look😍❤️ highly recommend it
You need to try the Fawn or Cashew shade iin the original Doublewear as they will match your body better. An illuminating primer will also make it look better on your skin. Estée Lauder sell an illuminating primer that is fantastic . It’s best to use a concealer only around the eye as both makeups contain sunscreen.
Aaaaaay. I’m using the full cover right now. And I think the girl who matched for me made a great job. Just love it. BUUUUT I definitely gonna try the light one. For sure. Thanks for the tip
I would say try either Cashew or Honey Bronze. It's hard to get colour right especially under fluorescent lighting, that's why they offer samples. That's just my recommendation!
I think the main problem with the double wear stay in place is it is a much lighter shade! I guess you have already figured that out! LOL! Still couldnt help but point out because I love that foundation!
If you used a beauty blender the full coverage would go on thinner like the water fresh one. For me the water fresh with a beauty blender did NOT last all day. Maybe water fresh needs a brush, vs full use a blender.
Hi i have always used double wear all my life as a registered nurse i needed a foundation to stay put as working in an intensive care unit i just dont have time to touch up , but seeing this i thought i might give it a chance , i do wear amani luminous silk on my days off , but its just not long wear enough for my working life . i wear double concealer too , when i wear double wear and armani concealer when i use silk , but i am looking forward to trying , i use pale almond , but i always have have my double wear , if it doesn’t work out , if your unhappy with your shade , go to ebay and buy a selection of different shades in testers , they are only cheap , thats how i found my silk shade , i think i bought 6 until i was happy with the shade i settled on , now i am happy or just buy a couple of toners and mix your own , i do that when i get a tan on holiday then i buy estee lauder futuristic,foundation which is very light wear , and i mix a tone drop , hope you find your shade , my love liz x
Which foundation do you prefer?? I haven’t liked double wear either. I don’t like it to be caked... double wear is too superficial for me... but water fresh doesn’t seem to give a lot of coverage which I really need cuz my skin is pigmented...
If you think 3w1 (tawny)is slightly light for you and is turning grey; please check out 3w1.5(fawn), slightly darker than tawny but lighter than 3w2 (cashew).
its the moisturizer that you used undermeath that is not compatible with double wear.. double wear is if not the best, the better one that i have ever used on my clients. inlibe in a tropocal country and double really stays despite the humidity, but i will have to agree with you in terms of aettling on smile lines.
I too get matched to Tawny but I switched to Cashew 3W2 it's the next shade up and I feel it is a tad dark but Tawny is a bit too light. What I do is add a few drops of a lighter shade foundation and luminous to thin it out to and it works. I wish there was something in between. I stick with it because the coverage is amazing and I don't mind mixing foundations to get what I want. The cashew shade is my summer shade though.

Kinsey Newton there is a new colour that is inbewteen tawny and cashew , it's called FAWN in 3W1.5 doublewear , Estée Lauder . It's the right colour for me as tawny is too pale and cashew is too orangey
Personally I don't need much coverage myself as I have good skin, I only wear foundation to evenout the skin tone (a bit like yourself) and I prefer the natural fresh looks, also, you have lovely freckeles, so I would definitely choose for both you and me, the water fresh foundation, in fact that is the one I wear after summer, in summer I just wear a tinted mosturizer :) you look lovely ;) thnk you for the video ;)
I love Double Wear but you look so good with the Water Fresh! I guess I’m getting older and don’t care if I have freckles. lol I’ve been using the Double Wear for ages and I agree that if you have a dry patch, that foundation will make a spot light for that patch. 😂🤣
It is interesting to see how the colour of the Double Wear changed by going lighter! Usually, I see foundation oxidizing and going darker and more orange, not grey!
I noticed that too. I thought it was only me. I got sample I tried during the day got brighter, it looks like I am wearing a mask. I love how they last still searching for the right colour. When I go to store they suggested the same colour.

However, I tend to have the same creasing problem with full coverage foundations. I found that combining a full coverage with one that is less coverage and more dewy gives me a perfect and lasting coverage. It's crazy but I get my desired looks by mixing foundations. 🤔
AAVS one idea is to use one drop of a facial oil on the full coverage matte foundation to 'loosen' it up a little and give a little dewiness to the finish. Wayne Goss shared that idea. I have mature skin and the dewy look is better than the matte, but if you still want good coverage, the facial oil trick is a good one.
I am an NC25 in Mac and in the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, my color is RATTAN. It is yellow toned. I noticed that you also wear the color Punjab in Nars and do I! So, definately try RATTAN!:-)
@@TrinaDuhra I have worked for Estee Lauder for over 20 years. I agree that 3W2 Cashew is best. It is half a shade darker than 3W1 Tawny, and has a warm undertone.
Double wear you may have to mix 2 shades like I do, if you want the full coverage with a lighter finish, use a damp beauty blender or sponge, looks flawless
I agree with the double wear settling into lines happens every time too me i love it but i have too moisturaize alot otherwise it looks soo dry on me i use 1w2 sand and it matches me pretty good its got a pretty good yellow undertone for me. I’m the same shade and can’t wait to try it. I tried a few shades tooo dark (4w1). I took did a photoshoot and it looked very dark. This shade looks amazing on you to me😊❤️😍
They matched me to the tawny one too and i used the shell beige and it looked wayyyyyy better after u use shape tape concealer one shade lighter than your own with it it all blends out to the perfect match try that and see if it works for u it did for me.
Pretty much all foundations will sink into lines too. Just the same as how every concealer is going to crease if it's not set properly. Because most of us have lines under our eyes. Creams going over lines = creasing/clinging.
The Mac water weight foundation and the Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude are the same formulation (google the ingredient deck). Actually so is another Smashbox foundation (I forget the name). So use the Mac foundation if you have a better shade match!

It clings to your dry patches because you are using WAAAAYYY too much!!! It's already full coverage so why use 2 layers?!!! and why put it on your eyelids where we have the most crease?!!

I struggle with color match in double wear too. I'm about the same skinetone as you. I have tried using the tawny and cashew mixed which kind of works but the foundation oxidizes eventually anyways. Have you tried NARS sheer glow in Stromboli? That's my best color match across the board.
I am mac NC 35 so maybe close to your skin color and I was matched with tawny too. Loved the foundation and used the bottle but Tawny was too neutral and turned pink on me. Then I got Rattan next time and it works perfectly.

How do you get the colour right for the Water Fresh makeup if the Double Wear isnt working for you? If youre dark toned do you get a dark toned Water Fresh?
I like the original doubleware on you as it gives better coverage but I have tried both myself but it just doesn't look good as its cakey and dry my skin out and sits in the frown lines and nose. I have used the primer too they recommended but still the same. So not for me I'm afraid. For me is the no 7 matt. It is better as it doesn't dry out and its half the price and gives good even coverage tht doesn't sit in the crevices of your face.
Try 3W0. They swatched 3W1 Tawny on my face and instantly it turned grey! 😳 3W0 was perfect but I don't see that shade as much in EL counters. BTW, I love your nail color! 💅❤️

3W2 Cashew could work. I got matched based on other foundations (NC40 in MAC, Cool Honey 5.25 Bobbi Brown); and it gave me Cashew. IT looked too yellow so I tried 4N2 Spiced Sand. Discovered I'm a neutral as opposed to the Warm as thought previously. I've been using MAC Pro Long wear and I love it, and by fluke I bought Bobbi Brown stick foundation at sale in Cool Honey. Thats when I knew the neutral shade was so much better!

Cashew would be the perfect shade for you, also it doesn't work well with a brush but with a damp beauty blender it looks pretty amazing all day X

But the nude one, colour doesn't change much. So I ended up with 2 bottles, Cashew for stay in place and Fawn in Nudes lol. Stay in place is really the best :)
Ugh they matched me with 3n1 and I looked like a grey pink ghost. I returned, bought two more, tawny and wheat. Tawny oxidized so bad on me and wheat worked great but cashew is my summer shade

I completely agree about the shades. I use Double Wear but my foundation is not a perfect colour match whatsover. I reckon Estee Lauder need to improve their colour shades, maybe introduce more shades. I'm actually using 1N0 Porcelain. Alabaster is like a white mask so neither are ideal. I definitely must try this new foundation! I prefer the Lighter foundation on you, Less drying and less grey
Fawn is the latest color on EL double wear it’s a shade darker from tawny ... I love the way it looks on me it is a yellow / warm base tone. And I don’t get a grey color at all.. you should try a sample of fawn :)

I got matched to tawny as well and for some reason tawny is a weird color for everyone. It goes on lighter then anticipated. I go one shade darker and use a lighter color of powder and it counter acts it. The worst thing is too dark foundation. Another thing to watch for with double wear is contour colors and bronzer will pull gray or ashy. Thanks for the review.
I just got color matched for that new foundation in Tawny too. Yes I did comparison at the store and I liked the new water fresh more. It’s nice, my skin is more natural and perfect coverage. I have healthy & nice skin so water fresh works for me. I ordered it because that shade was out of stock. So happy I went home with a gift of purchase as well. Also bought the pump, so surprised Estée Lauder finally got it in. People were getting it from Mac.

One thing I love about the double wear is there's practically no transfer... I hate finding my face on my clothes lol... was there any transfer with the waterfresh?? Also I find the makeup doesn't work too well with me with beauty blenders I usually use a brush then use a normal sponge to take of any excess grease/makeup
I agree, me too. I find the beauty blender takes off the moisture/moisturiser from my skin therefore very drying. Brush is better to apply then beauty blender to set the finish.
They recently added more shades to the original formula. I would definitely get rematched and make sure the I match tool is updated w those new shades. I find when you build it up for more coverage is when you really see how the color looks on your skin so that is another recommendation when trying it on. Also for people with dry skin or that love the coverage but want more of a natural or dewy finish, mix the foundation w a hydrating primer or serum and that will alter the finish.
You should try 2w2 rattan is your shade 3w2 tawny has more of a pink neutral undertone I have same exact skintone as yours and i tried the double wear cuz everybody raved about this foundation I tried the shade tawny cuz the girl that was working there recommended me to try tawny and convinced me that it was my shade tried it hated it it looked so ashy Estee lauder was a no no for me for 2 years and One day I felt liked giving a shot again With The shade 2w2 Rattan which was nice and yellow undertone and it looked flawless throughout the day 😍 now the estee lauder double wear is my holy grail for 2 years Whenever i wear any other foundation I seem to always go back to the double wear On the days when i need a lighter coverage or dewy finish I mix some facial oil gives me a flawless look😍❤️ highly recommend it
You need to try the Fawn or Cashew shade iin the original Doublewear as they will match your body better. An illuminating primer will also make it look better on your skin. Estée Lauder sell an illuminating primer that is fantastic . It’s best to use a concealer only around the eye as both makeups contain sunscreen.

I would say try either Cashew or Honey Bronze. It's hard to get colour right especially under fluorescent lighting, that's why they offer samples. That's just my recommendation!
you should mix the two foundations. Give it a try and tell us how they look on once mixed together.
I think the main problem with the double wear stay in place is it is a much lighter shade! I guess you have already figured that out! LOL! Still couldnt help but point out because I love that foundation!
If you used a beauty blender the full coverage would go on thinner like the water fresh one. For me the water fresh with a beauty blender did NOT last all day. Maybe water fresh needs a brush, vs full use a blender.
The only one that I liked was discontinued. Country mist. Please, if you get it from eBay, review it
Hi i have always used double wear all my life as a registered nurse i needed a foundation to stay put as working in an intensive care unit i just dont have time to touch up , but seeing this i thought i might give it a chance , i do wear amani luminous silk on my days off , but its just not long wear enough for my working life . i wear double concealer too , when i wear double wear and armani concealer when i use silk , but i am looking forward to trying , i use pale almond , but i always have have my double wear , if it doesn’t work out , if your unhappy with your shade , go to ebay and buy a selection of different shades in testers , they are only cheap , thats how i found my silk shade , i think i bought 6 until i was happy with the shade i settled on , now i am happy or just buy a couple of toners and mix your own , i do that when i get a tan on holiday then i buy estee lauder futuristic,foundation which is very light wear , and i mix a tone drop , hope you find your shade , my love liz x
Which foundation do you prefer?? I haven’t liked double wear either. I don’t like it to be caked... double wear is too superficial for me... but water fresh doesn’t seem to give a lot of coverage which I really need cuz my skin is pigmented...
If you think 3w1 (tawny)is slightly light for you and is turning grey; please check out 3w1.5(fawn), slightly darker than tawny but lighter than 3w2 (cashew).
its the moisturizer that you used undermeath that is not compatible with double wear.. double wear is if not the best, the better one that i have ever used on my clients. inlibe in a tropocal country and double really stays despite the humidity, but i will have to agree with you in terms of aettling on smile lines.

I too get matched to Tawny but I switched to Cashew 3W2 it's the next shade up and I feel it is a tad dark but Tawny is a bit too light. What I do is add a few drops of a lighter shade foundation and luminous to thin it out to and it works. I wish there was something in between. I stick with it because the coverage is amazing and I don't mind mixing foundations to get what I want. The cashew shade is my summer shade though.

Personally I don't need much coverage myself as I have good skin, I only wear foundation to evenout the skin tone (a bit like yourself) and I prefer the natural fresh looks, also, you have lovely freckeles, so I would definitely choose for both you and me, the water fresh foundation, in fact that is the one I wear after summer, in summer I just wear a tinted mosturizer :) you look lovely ;) thnk you for the video ;)

I love Double Wear but you look so good with the Water Fresh! I guess I’m getting older and don’t care if I have freckles. lol I’ve been using the Double Wear for ages and I agree that if you have a dry patch, that foundation will make a spot light for that patch. 😂🤣
It is interesting to see how the colour of the Double Wear changed by going lighter! Usually, I see foundation oxidizing and going darker and more orange, not grey!
I noticed that too. I thought it was only me. I got sample I tried during the day got brighter, it looks like I am wearing a mask. I love how they last still searching for the right colour. When I go to store they suggested the same colour.

However, I tend to have the same creasing problem with full coverage foundations. I found that combining a full coverage with one that is less coverage and more dewy gives me a perfect and lasting coverage. It's crazy but I get my desired looks by mixing foundations. 🤔
AAVS one idea is to use one drop of a facial oil on the full coverage matte foundation to 'loosen' it up a little and give a little dewiness to the finish. Wayne Goss shared that idea. I have mature skin and the dewy look is better than the matte, but if you still want good coverage, the facial oil trick is a good one.
I like to wear my double wear with an illuminating primer..helps prevent that flatness!
I am an NC25 in Mac and in the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, my color is RATTAN. It is yellow toned. I noticed that you also wear the color Punjab in Nars and do I! So, definately try RATTAN!:-)
Try 2W2 Rattan, that’s the shade I was matched with. I really want to try the nude now.
Or maybe one shade darker, this is a little light but you can bronze it up. Might be a better winter shade.

@@TrinaDuhra I have worked for Estee Lauder for over 20 years. I agree that 3W2 Cashew is best. It is half a shade darker than 3W1 Tawny, and has a warm undertone.

Double wear you may have to mix 2 shades like I do, if you want the full coverage with a lighter finish, use a damp beauty blender or sponge, looks flawless

You should try 3W2 wich is equivalent to mac nc40, your body looks darker for the shades that you have now.

I agree with the double wear settling into lines happens every time too me i love it but i have too moisturaize alot otherwise it looks soo dry on me i use 1w2 sand and it matches me pretty good its got a pretty good yellow undertone for me. I’m the same shade and can’t wait to try it. I tried a few shades tooo dark (4w1). I took did a photoshoot and it looked very dark. This shade looks amazing on you to me😊❤️😍
They matched me to the tawny one too and i used the shell beige and it looked wayyyyyy better after u use shape tape concealer one shade lighter than your own with it it all blends out to the perfect match try that and see if it works for u it did for me.
Pretty much all foundations will sink into lines too. Just the same as how every concealer is going to crease if it's not set properly. Because most of us have lines under our eyes. Creams going over lines = creasing/clinging.
You should have tried a neutral tone .. wonder why you took warm. But love the way you review the products
The Mac water weight foundation and the Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude are the same formulation (google the ingredient deck). Actually so is another Smashbox foundation (I forget the name). So use the Mac foundation if you have a better shade match!

It clings to your dry patches because you are using WAAAAYYY too much!!! It's already full coverage so why use 2 layers?!!! and why put it on your eyelids where we have the most crease?!!

I don't know if it is your lighting or something, but I honestly cannot tell the difference in the coverage between both sides of your face.
Double wear stay-in-place alone is too thick for me. I mix it 1:1 with MAC strobe cream and whoooo! Compliment everywhere I go.

I struggle with color match in double wear too. I'm about the same skinetone as you. I have tried using the tawny and cashew mixed which kind of works but the foundation oxidizes eventually anyways. Have you tried NARS sheer glow in Stromboli? That's my best color match across the board.
Could it be the powder your using? Maybe it affects the double wear foundation.
I think both sides look good, but I actually prefer the less coverage side.

I am mac NC 35 so maybe close to your skin color and I was matched with tawny too. Loved the foundation and used the bottle but Tawny was too neutral and turned pink on me. Then I got Rattan next time and it works perfectly.

How do you get the colour right for the Water Fresh makeup if the Double Wear isnt working for you? If youre dark toned do you get a dark toned Water Fresh?
I like the original doubleware on you as it gives better coverage but I have tried both myself but it just doesn't look good as its cakey and dry my skin out and sits in the frown lines and nose. I have used the primer too they recommended but still the same. So not for me I'm afraid. For me is the no 7 matt. It is better as it doesn't dry out and its half the price and gives good even coverage tht doesn't sit in the crevices of your face.
Try 3W0. They swatched 3W1 Tawny on my face and instantly it turned grey! 😳 3W0 was perfect but I don't see that shade as much in EL counters.

3W2 Cashew could work.
I got matched based on other foundations (NC40 in MAC, Cool Honey 5.25 Bobbi Brown); and it gave me Cashew. IT looked too yellow so I tried 4N2 Spiced Sand. Discovered I'm a neutral as opposed to the Warm as thought previously.
I've been using MAC Pro Long wear and I love it, and by fluke I bought Bobbi Brown stick foundation at sale in Cool Honey. Thats when I knew the neutral shade was so much better!
