Thank you for the shout out! You wouldn't believe that I was sitting around a fire when I saw your video! We are RVing down the East Coast of the US at the moment and were enjoying a cozy fire in the firepit when my name popped up on your video! It was perfect!
Add to smoothies: beans! Chickpea or any bean increases the protein and makes it creamy if you have a good blender. Start with 1/4 cup cooked but cold either refrigerated or frozen and increase once you realize you can't taste it. 😅 I'd use black beans with blueberries, banana and yoghurt. Flax, hemp, chia seeds, protein powder, peanut butter powder, coconut milk, soy milk, soft tofu, kale, spinach, I even add alma or cinnamon depending on the mix. In the fall I do a pumpkin one with pumpkin spice. 😂
Nice ideas for meals. Use the apple juice in a pork crock pot recipe. Lentils with soup mix and veggies from the freezer…with or without meat..sounds good. Tuna cakes? I’ve seen recipes for crock pot oatmeal. It’s suppose to taste like a dessert. I haven’t made it yet. I keep forgetting….it cooks on low over night in a crock pot. Good way to use apple juice or bananas or raisins. Those noodles with soup mix and veggies in a soup can be a play on ramen. Good luck! 💚🩷❤️💙🧡🦋🦋🦋
Banana nut bread is a given. Dip the banana in peanut butter for a great snack. . I love banana sandwiches. Banana sandwiches & cucumber sandwiches are my favorite sandwiches. Banana pudding was always great. Haven’t had it in years. My grandmother used to make it every Sunday when I was a kid.
I cant think of any savoury banana dishes other than that banana wrapped in ham with hollandaise sauce thing but I cant imagine it being good. In Sweden they have a banana curry pizza I suppose that's savoury as well but I've never tried it.
Savory bananas. My grandmother (and mum) makes something they call peruvian chicken. I not sure it is authentic peruvian, but it is delicious. You put chicken pieces with the skin in an oven safe tray (can be a whole chicken in pieces or chicken thighs, but it should be bone in), you can season them with salt, garlic and paprika/herbs you add broth in the bottom of the pan, no more than 1/3 of the chicken should be submerged (top up with water if it runs dry in the cooking process. Add bacon pieces and a couple of leeks in rounds and the juice of one lemon. You cook it on 200 c for about 30 minutes and THEN you put BANANAS halves and slice in 2 on top (4-6 bananas, depending on how much chicken you made). Then leave it another 20 minutes. If your chicken is larger do 40+20 minutes. Serve with rice and put the broth from the tray on your rice, it is delicious. I do expect whoever gave them this recipe had something with plantains in Peru, maybe. But I do love the bananas (I didn't when I was a child). Keep up the good work. I love seeing what you come up with 😊
That sounds interesting! Plantains might have been the original but probably well adapted with bananas! I’ll have to keep this idea in mind 🤔 Thanks for the suggestion!
I have a red lentil patties recipe. It works well, I add a little ww flour and some Montreal steak spice for umph. Nice to go for lunch with assorted crunch veggies and dip.
I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches, fried bananas, frozen bananas mashed up mixed with peanut butter (like ice cream!) frozen mashed banana + frozen mashed strawberries, mixed with a little cream or half and half, and a little sugar also makes a lovely ice cream type dessert. Vanilla pudding with sliced bananas and vanilla wafers. Banana chips. I'm all about the sweet banana... OH, and that bean soup looked SO yummy! Also, adding cooked lentils to your hamburger sloppy joe mix can use some up, but I think you have already done something similar?
I love bananas too! After dealing with the surplus I almost wish I'd had even more to freeze for the future! It was such a great deal! Thanks for all the banana love ideas! :D
U can add the oats to the smoothes. That noodles dish looks look. I think I'm going to make a quick easy noodles or rice dish to have with Thanksgiving for something different next week.
" *choke choke * .. has some kick.." lol, I thought that was a lot of chili sauce 😆 Looked tasty though I'll have to try that. maybe with regular sweet chili (ahem) "rooster" sauce and a bit of my ghost pepper mediterranean sweet chili sauce.. I'm sure someone has already said this but you could use up those oats and some banana in banana oat muffins maybe? or I suppose just some oatmeal with bananas sliced on top for breakfast. That's probably what I would end up doing...lol
Haha! Watch out! That first bite is a doozy! The Singapore sauce that I can is really dependent on how hot your peppers are when you make it so I should have known what I was in for 😂 🔥
Hi love your channel here are some suggestions banana walnut &choc chip cake or cup cakes , banana fritters which is a whole banana in batter and fried, banana split you made me laugh I thought it was only me things like that happen to XX love Kathy from Spain 🍋🍋🍋🍋❤
Red lentil flat breads are easy! Just soak red lentils in hot water for 30 minutes drain and add one cup water back into them add to a blender and add salt blend until it's like a runny pancake batter. Heat a non stick skillet it must be dry no oil. Pour a small amount 1/4 cup and smooth with the back of a spoon until desired thickness. Let cook 3 minutes and flip. Cook till its like a tortilla! Oh the taste fantastic.
Ooh, protein packed smoothies! I’ll have to try that. Thanks for the suggestion! I tried the red lentil tortillas in a $21 challenge once and they turned out great...I might have to try that again Hmm
I was confused for a moment then I realized you put a Y instead of T by accident. Unfortunately a lot of people pronounce it without the r and for some reason a lot of people say ungyun instead of onion, so bizarre.
Your son and husband did a great job adding to the cooking this week! Total thumbs up 👍 🎉❤
They sometimes needed a bit of guidance but they have been so awesome! :)
tell Pirate Captain Wanders his pancakes looked delish!!
I will! He’s so awesome at taking care of me when I need it 🤩 🥰
Thank you for the shout out!

Sounds like some great sneaky protein! I’ve never thought of adding beans before! 👍😁

Hmm banana wrapped in ham, eh? I don’t know about that lol but maybe 🤷♀️
You can add cooked white beans for the extra protein and you don't even taste them and boy ,does it keep you full
I love that idea! I'll have to keep that in mind!
Red Lentilsoup with feta blended into them, turkish or greek depending on herbs and sprices.
Mmmm with feta! Thanks for the suggestion!

Singapore chili chicken looks amazing! I can almost smell it.
It was so tasty!
the onion soup mix and bread crumbs could go towards making meat loaf :)
Meatloaf sounds great! I do have a lot of things I could throw in it! 👍😀
All these cravings I have now because of you . Looks all good to me
That’s awesome! I love all the great ideas I get from you 😁👍
@JessicaWanders I love how we can take so little food and make it such a delicious dish. When you think outside the box, you can make magic happen. 😁
I add almonds to my smoothies usually for protein. It does make the texture coarser, unless you make it into almond butter before adding I suppose😂
That's a great idea! I've never thought of adding almonds before.

I’ve never thought of adding oats to a smoothie - good idea! It's fun to spice up Thanksgiving! :)

oh yeah and roomie puts spirolina in his smoothies. Just don't use too much at once unless you want it to taste like ocean.. hahaha
Haha! Watch out! That first bite is a doozy! The Singapore sauce that I can is really dependent on how hot your peppers are when you make it so I should have known what I was in for 😂 🔥

Hello from Georgia in the United States
Hello Georgia :) It's always great to see you Amanda!
Maybe you Can make black bean burger 😊
I could! I tried these in a $21 a week challenge and they were tasty…might have to revisit that!
To add protein to the smoothie add frozen cooked white beans. Cooked without salt. You will not taste the beans!

Banana fritters
Yum! Great idea!
Yurmeric, not tumeric

Thank you! I try to remember 😜
