    Ayran and Kokorec! You’ve hit the Turkish food jackpot. Cash in those chips and buy yourself some Raki . Emma, I agree with you about the Meze’s. Actually easier to be a vegetarian in Turkey because meat is very expensive and the produce and meze’s are so delicious and varied

    Ayran is a drink that can take its time to grow on you, but once you develop a taste for it, you'll never want anything else when eating Turkish street food. Especially if the food is a bit spicy, the Ayran goes extremely well with it, because it puts out the fire in your mouth. Anything carbonated or too sugary will only add to the heat :)

    Next time you are in izmir ,pls. remember to visit the sea side town named Çeşme, you will love it. Also remember to eat kumru sandwiches which is traditional to İzmir.

    Away from kokorec, Turkey has mumbar dolmasi meal which is scottish haggis made from rice and intestine feeling like you are visiting Edinborough.

    Love Yasam Kafe! They actually used to have vegan kokorec too but last I visited it was’t on the menu. Glad you put Izmir on the map 🇹🇷

    With the ayran first you need to shake it and drink it cold after eating a spicy meal (meat) not before :) enjoy your journey.

    If you add sugar or sweetener to yogurt it won’t be yogut no more. Proper yogurt in all around the world you can eat is the original one; The turkish yogurt. And it’s good for digestion.

    Hi Emma and Alex, even the Egyptians did graffiti but probably not called that in Egyptian. You made it back to Turkey albeit in a roundabout way, Alex, was your Dad a Punk by any chance back in the day ? Emma you have a fantastic wiggle when walking and you must have been told many times what that signifies, my Sister had a wiggle like that, thanks to her I have six Nephews and Nieces.     Guys, you went to wrong place to eat kokorec. You should go to Camdibi / Kartal duragi. There is a restaurant called '' Kartal Kokorec'' i recommend u. ✌🏻

      @@TravelBeans Trabzon and Rize were great. We stayed in a a village sort of area called ayder yaylasi. It was great. Nlt sure about internet access though.
