    Best explanation of DPN. When I knitted underneath, I was still getting ladders as tight as I could pull. I think knitting the way you show will resolve this.

    Wonderful tutorial on using 5 dpns! I can't believe I am doing it! Thank you for mentioning that if you put your stitches in the middle of the needles it will stay balanced and neat as you continue knitting. Terrific!

    Maryna, you lighten my life. In no other tutorial on any subject have I ever had things explained so simply that it cannot be miscinstured. Even if I wasn't interested in knitting I could become addicted to your videos. But I AM very interested in knitting and have learned so much from you. I'd been afraid to knit with five needles (or even four) but you have made it so easy and I thank you with all of my heart. My world has opened up now and it is all due to your wonderful instructions. Thank you.

    I love how you just have the perfect yarn to show what you are doing. And you are really good at explaining well what you are doing. This video helped alot. I have never used these kind of pins and just got mine to finish my first sweater

    You said two things that truly cleared up my confusion: one was to ignore the needles that you aren't using and the other is to put the needle under the other needle and knit like you only had two needles. Excellent!!!

    I’m not a beginner knitter but knitting in the round w/ dpn is something I’m still learning and this video is by far the BEST tutorial I’ve watched.

    Thank you. I’ve been too intimidated to try, but I’m ready to follow this video. Very clear instructions. The large needles and thick yarn helped to see everything

    Thank you, thank you, thank you...so clear and perfect. I have 5 needles sets for more than 15 and this time is it. I'm going for something without a seam....I can´t stand seams. This tutorial is very simple and clear and I love that you use thick yarn and neadles and a light colour....it´s a basic concept for making this kind of tutorials but .... I also love the care you placed on your accent and the serenety of your voice. ( I am portuguese! I wish I could speak half as well...) Thank you very much!

    Love your videos. I am considering switching from continental to Russian style. Is it easier to stitch in continental on dpns? Thank you.

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is a little bit easier to work with DPN's using the Russian knitting style, but note that when we work the Russian way in the round, we make twisted stitches. It is not a bad thing, because twisted stitches form a denser fabric that doesn't wear out fast - perfect for socks, hats and mittens. But if you'd like to keep the stitches open (not twisted), work using the Continental knitting style. Happy knitting :-)

    I load all my stitches onto one needle....then slip these off onto 3 and eventually 4 dpns.

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the easiest way to cast on using double pointed needles - use one needle first, then divide stitches between 3 or 4 needles :-)
