I think the mod maker should decrease the "think" rate to not make lag happen.

though same issue happens if you have too many npc or something (or too many, say, addons apparently (like say, odd lag when on a map]]

In terms of lua coding i talk about putting self:NextThink(CurTime() + 1) into its think function to make it "think" only once per second, saving on calculations that would find a nearby player. Usually its runs with a delay of 0.2 if not specified.
