These are all so good for compact vigorous growers! And the flowers really are beautiful! I love to see them in masses on trees around in Florida as they are really hardy too! Great video!
Your videos are top notch. Clear information, great visuals. I ordered and received D. anosmum and C walkeriana x self this June from Carmela Orchids. The cat bloomed already with incredible fragrance. Den doing very well. Your recommendations are the best. Also an Angr. didieri in bud. it had a huge and fragrant bloom however I seem to have have trouble growing the smaller orchids . fingers crossed for the didieri. Maybe I will have better luck if I try Angr leonis.
I'm so happy that you're enjoying my videos. I appreciate that you took the time to leave such a nice comment. The smaller orchids normally need to be watered more frequently because they are in smaller pots, that's usually what I notice when growing. Good luck with Didieri! I had that one but it unfortunately passed when I had a hard time keeping up with watering at one point two years ago. It's not hard to take care of just can't stay dry super long. The fragrance on it is fantastic.
All the Brassavolas and their primary crosses are faves... (B. cucullata x B. digbyana) 'David Sanders' is one I suggest for you. Sight and fragrance is superb.
Recently got my first Richard Mueller and Nodosa hybrids. Krull Smith: • Bc. Morning Glory (Cattleya purpurata and Brassavola nodosa hybrid) • Cattleya Small World x Bc. Richard Mueller Hausermann: • Brassocattleya Taiwan Mermaid (Maikai x Cattleya Thospol Spot) • Brassocattleya Gulfshores Beauty 'Green Gem' Akatsuka: • Bc. Rustic Spots 'H&R' (Bc. Richard Mueller x C. Landate)
Great video, enjoyed it a lot! I love brassivola hybrids too! However most of them don't bloom for me! This year I've decided to put some of my orchids outside and brassivola hybrids is one of them.. Thanks for sharing and happy growing 😊
I just purchased Cahuzacara Hsingying Naranja ‘Golden Sunshine’. It is cross B. nodosa x Rth. Young-Min Orange. Supposed to be very pretty. Color changer yellow to orange. Can’t wait for it to bloom.
I love the Bc little birds (Laelia harmill X B. nodosa) and am trying to find a Brassavola yaki (cucullata X nodosa) but they seem to be hard to come by.
@@NicoleDeanna i have a problem with my jimney cricket, the bulbs are growing and until the cover become dry the new grow apperas and it doesn't flower 4th year already. What would you suggest?
@@NicoleDeanna thank you! It gets the direct sun from 13:00 till evening. Even got red spots on the leaves. Is it ok for such hybrid? Thanks for your answers)) 🙏
Nice video! My little stars is NOT a space saver! It's so unruly! I love it so that's why I keep it! But it's long and lanky! I'm shocked seeing yours so together and compact! 😂
Please do a series on each one of your orchids and how you got it to flower call it DENDROBIUM FLOWERING SECRETS, CATTLEYE FLOWERING SECRETS, how many years it took for it to flower and secrets, tricks and tips, temp, feed water location etc etc on how to get them to flower. what month they flower. I've asked many many many growers people etc I get vague answers. Please do this series on everything but phals, I feel like phals are the only ones who flower easily. Thanks (I've had orchids for over a year, still no flowers and here you are with flowers galore.)
Hi, I got one recently from Lowe’s it was discounted bag baby but it look ok not damage it’s my first one of this kind of orchid, you made me happy to know it’s easy to grow, hopefully it’s flowers in the future will give flowers with fragrance, mine is yellow bird brassavola hibrid Richard Mueller, good to know it doesn’t need to much water but mine looks like it dries in 2 days it’s in bark chips I’m thinking in adding some spagnum moss to it but not sure yet.. what do you think I’m a novice with this kind of orchid
You picked a good one to start out with. Using moss comes down to your environment I'd say. If the orchid dries very quickly in bark moss will help you out and you'll water less 💗
My temps usually don't go below 60-65 at night and during the day it's 75-95 degrees depending on the time of year. I don't have ac running in the plant room in the summer.
From my experience I feel like cattleyas need good light generally. I haven't tried growing them in lower light conditions. A little grow light can help immensely, even a little clip on one!
hi, I'm very interested to grow B nodosa hybrids indoors ( ones with 50% parentage)but a lot of information from online sellers have indicated that they usually bloom during fall. What have been your experiences so far with the hybrids, are you seeing a pattern of free flowering throughout the year or are these only limited to certain ones you have mentioned?
B. nodosa and Richard Mueller crosses are some of my favorites! Thanks for showing us flowers to drool over!
Mine too, they are so vigorous and fantastic ❤️

Thanks my friend ❤️ so many smell so good!
Great video. I have quite a few nodosa hybrids. I just added Jimminy Cricket to my wishlist! ❤
I hope you enjoy that one :)
True ,I love the smell so good in the evening .❤️
So so good 🥰
Amazing information and beautiful orchids!!!!!!
Thank you ❤
Love the Brassavola Nodosa Hybrids I have 6 different ones.
Aren't they vigorous? :)

Sounds lovely!
Lovely blooms. I have a Brassovola x Walkeriana, which Im keeping an eye on, as I dont really know what Im doing..... lol.
That sounds like an amazing cross! I have to look it up.
Oh and you got this!! Just give them good light and water thoroughly then water again when dry
I can only imagine that cross The fragrance alone is enough to put my imagination into overdrive.

🎉🎉🎉. Thanks for video! The jimney cricket is also in a hydrophonic system?
This orchid needs the separate video, !

There's a lot of variation on these so it's tough to get specific, but I can make a more general guide like this 👍

How man you keep the Brassavolas and their hybrids at home? What sort of themperatures you have. These are suposed to be Hot growing.

Where do you buy your orchids
Carmela Orchids, Hausermann, Akatsuka Orchids, Sunset Valley Orchids, Gold Country Orchids - Those are the main ones :)
