    Good to see this shoe get the love it deserves. I tried it next to ES4 and Superblast and it was hands down my fave. It’s been my workhorse

    It's also lighter than the Cielo x so possibly a race worthy option. I find it good at all paces to be honest, like really good! Loving it.

    I absolutely love this shoe, and have been saying for a long time that it’s better than the Superblast 2 for almost every type of run. The only caveat to that would be if you’re a pure forefoot striker, with no heel or mid foot touchdown at all, you may have trouble getting adequate lockdown with this heel counter. Mind you, the same group will struggle with the Superblast 2 with the enormous chunk of foam in the back. My one gripe with the Mach X2 is that the grip on gravel tracks is problematic. One of my favourite runs is around a lake with a mix of pavement and gravel/dirt paths, and I slip and slide a bit when not on solid cement…..Otherwise, it’s the best all speed trainer out there right now

      I’m a heel striker and have been using Superblast 1&2 since they were released and they are perfect for my run style.

    Honestly, I fault Running Warehouse for the overblown “upper issue”. They put up that warning, and it was almost like people wanted it to tear up their ankles. Unfortunately, negative comments seem to shine brightest, but I bet if you look at the stats, there are likely more who are satisfied with the Mach X2 than dissatisfied. It’s the real SuperBlast killer IMO.

      Tbf as a hoka-only user, these shoes obliterated my heels into hamburger meat for the first 3-4 runs but I stuck with it and it's just a callous now. It truly is a shit heel collar for us thin ankled folks, but it's such a good shoe that it's worth sticking with. Wish they went with the rocket or cielo road's upper instead

    Desperate to try as my replacement for speed 3s but the toe box was just too narrow as is the case for all Hokas. Went with the Hyperion max 2 instead

    Ok Mach x 2 vs glideride max witch one bro for long runs and recovery runs and fast work I got the rebel v4 looking for more foam for long runs / long time on feet

    the 10 day cycle is neiter nerdy nor done only by elite runners. I run on 10 day cycles for years ( i made the adaption to have the 31st of the month as a compensation day.
    my easy going analog brain then has 3 cycles per month with the monthly cycles all starting on 1st., the 11th. and the 21st, no need to be a brain surgain to get that right. The only exception is the third cycle in February with only 8 or 9 days.
    The benefits in recovery are huge compared to a 3 workout week i did when i was young, and with the better options to structure working times (at least for some of us), 10 day cycles are the way to go
    edit: my personal reccomendation for all newer runners or beginners: The number ONE topic at the beginning of your running journey is
    FREQUENCY.
    It is perfectly fine to start with 5 times per wek 20 minutes of walking, getting at some time to 7 days per week of walking 20 minutes and then replacing 2 of the walking days into 30 minutes running.....then switching to the 10 day cycle and have 3 runs in 10 days with one 45 minute run, two 30 minute runs and the other days between 30 and 45 minute walks. To build up the habit of putting on the walking/ running clothes every day until you have assimilated it into your blood and brain is all you need to focus.
    From this point out, it is easy to add on more duration and later on sprinkle in some pace
    .....not the way i started as a runner, but the thing i absolutely would do, if i had another chance
    edit2: totally agree with doubling for health reason. Since i retired 6 years ago i got into it within the first year....and by now my over all fitness at 70 is better than at 50

    I never tried hoka. My last experience with hoka was 5 years ago. A very dead, chunky and boring shoe.

      You really gotta check out some of their recent options. Some of the funnest shoes out there right now. Just finished up a half marathon with them, and they performed wonderfully.

      Yeah I was the same as you and completely disregarded the brand for a few years.
      Stumbled across a store ended up grabbing a Mach 6 on discount and absolutely love it for a solid general daily. So comfortable.

      @@Dasani31 Skyward, Mach, and Cielo are their bounciest options, and I’d say their top 3 shoes. They’re all different though, so you gotta figure out which one belongs in your rotation. Mach X2 is probably the most versatile of the 3.
