I've got 290 miles in my Mach 6s and they're going strong. They've been my go-to daily shoe all summer. I'm a heavier and slower runner (205-210 lbs; 10:40ish easy pace on the roads) and I think the Mach 6 are more lively and do-it-all than something like the Clifton 9 (which I also put 350 miles into and feel sluggish by comparison). I just returned a pair of Mach X 2s. I ordered them in the same size as my Mach 6 (US 10 2E) and was really excited to see Hoka offer a wide option in a plated shoe. Unfortunately, I found the upper far too tight by comparison to the Mach 6. And, though the cushion was lovely in terms of comfort, at my weight, the Mach X 2 had so much give in the cushy heel that I felt less propulsion and more sinking in. I also found the lateral side of the winged plate to be hitting my foot about 40 min into a run with a mix of paces.
Just got a pair of Mach 6’s. Absolutely love them, lots of cushion, at least what I think is a lot coming from a Hyperion, but you can still definitely pick up the pace. Could use a little more rubber but overall great shoe!
I wanted so badly to love the mach 6 but couldn't because it came up a hair too short for me in the toe box in my normal size 14. (I have an awkwardly long narrow feet and a longer 2nd toe) So, I had to return it and switch over to the Mach X2 in order to avoid going up to a size 15, and the Mach X2 fortunately fits perfectly! I absolutely love it. The firm energy return delivered by the midsole packs a huge punch, and I agree with Nick. Not only is this shoe a super trainer but it also definitely performs like a race day shoe.
Got the Mach 6 first and really pleased with them. Saw the Mach X2 discounted to £135 so gave them a try and I think they will be taking the place of my Saucony speed in my shoe rotation 👍🏻
@@glenncross956 The durability of the Mach 6 is not that good. After 150-200km the areas where I land with my foot look „flat“, if you know what I mean. The foam in the midsole also looks a bit beaten up. And I am a 55kg woman.. With the x2 I don’t have enough miles to say. Anyway, I love running in these shoes. Got the superblast 2 and had to return it, because it felt so boring and „heavy“ (not in weight, but in performance) compared to the Machs.
Took them out on 15.5 miles , 3259 of vert .. the heel is a bit loose, I went with my gut on ordering 10.5 I instead of 11 and was a bit loose on the heel .. I think to fix that problem is get thicker running socks

Car l'adhérrence et la longévité ne sont pas les points forts de Hoka. J'ai eu des Mach que j'ai vraiment détesté (inconfortables). Mes mach X sont un peu peu mieux mais il y a meilleur (clifton) par contre super légères, et le chrono est souvent meilleur à la fin sans m'en rendre compte
Did not like the Mach 6. Love the Mach X2. Heel is loose but no irritation at all. Excellent for long runs and recovery runs but to big for threshold etc..
I loved the performance that I got initially from the Mach X2, but there was nothing I could do to prevent a heel blister, a terrible design flaw. I was also wearing through the outsole in places down to the midsole in less than 20 miles. Fortunately my shoe store allowed me to return them.

After 200 miles I wore through the toe off grip on the Mach 6 - but still, I love the shoe on the whole.

In my personal opinion, I think the hoka Clifton 9 or Bondi 8 are very comfortable shoes and have tons of cushioning

Tried size 8 Mach X 2 and horrible fit. Sized up to 8.5 and just right.

X2 is better overall. Boston 12 is more of a daily training show
