Love this watch. I recently purchased in 42mm Hrithik Roshan Special Edition green dial. It comes with Oyster SS, face color matched leather and Nato bracelet and straps. Beads of rice is extra purchase. Couple of other interesting features; 300m WR on some models now, like mine. The oyster bracelet has pretty cool wrist extension for getting over wrist, as do the leather straps in the deployment clasp. The clasp in the oyster is titanium VS ss on the beads of rice. I think this was first strap paired with bronze case w/hypoallergenic ss caseback and titanium in clasp. Guess they just kept it. I find I am favoring the oyster over the beads of rice, which is a surprise to me. Maybe because watch wears a little bigger on oyster? All in all, great heritage piece, that reminds me of my Yema Marine National, Wise Adamascus, as well as, Longines Heritage diver and Omega Seamaster ‘57 re-issue.

I don't know, I'd expect a 2k watch to have moved beyond pin links. Especially with its lack of a micro adjust, I would think the ease of adding/removing links would have been better considered.

"back play" on a uni-directional bezel is not what people think it is. It's a natural feature of how a ratcheting system works on anything.
Calling it out as such is suggesting that somehow it is able to travel the other way. But this isn't the case.
In the bezel, a click spring sits against a ratcheted interior that runs along the entire bezel. As the click spring sits at the corner between two ratcheting teeth, locking it in place and permitting it to only rotate on one direction because the angle in one direction is shallow, while in the other it is near vertical. When the bezel is rotated, the click spring runs along the shallow edge of the tooth until it gets to the end, in which case, it falls into the corner where the next tooth begins. Causing a click to register.
Until that click registers, the spring hasn't fallen to the next tooth, and can always be reset back to the same corner in the original position. If you turn the bezel and it clicks, it is likely that you stopped a moment AFTER hearing the click, and so the spring rests not exactly on the corner between the teeth but some travel distance away. "back play" is simply the allowable travel for the spring to rest in the locked position from where it had falled The bezel isn't broken, it's working as intended.
This idea of back play, and its criticism, ignores how bezels (most) work. And I would wish youtubers would stop conflating the movement a bezel has between its locking positions and actually non-functioning bezels as somehow being the same.

Although I cannot justify another diver watch this is a great looking piece. I think Rado as a brand should have a tad more recognition as they produce some stunning pieces from different materials. I love that little anchor that moves depending on the orientation of the watch. OK it adds zero horological functionality but is a really nice touch. From my experience they are well made reliable time pieces that have their own identity as far as the Captain Cook among others are concerned. A great review Teddy.

You would be surprised to know that RADO Is 💯 most recognised brand in whole india . What Rolex is for Americans , rado is for Indians . 😁

@@vipinsuriya007 I must admit I'm very impressed with RADO. I was guilty of not having the brand on my radar until last year. I was in the AD to look at another watch and I was shown the Truesquare in black ceramic skeleton with gold accents, the purchase was made. It's very accurate, well made and wonderful to look at. RADO is well and truly on my radar now. Needless to say I didn't get the watch that I was considering at the AD. They are certainly on the up in my humble opinion.

@@anthonystevens8683 true square skeleton is my favourite rado collection. What a great watch to have . If I could own just one rado I would be torn between this and red dial steel captain cook ( search ref no. On TH-cam ) . The only problem with rado is it makes a lots of watches and collection. Hence doesn’t give them an identity and are also little pricier than should be. Still a great reliable brand with great brand recognition in Asia atleast .
I hope I will be able to buy one soon . :)

@@vipinsuriya007 The Red dial R32105353 is certainly a wonderful piece. A beautiful dial that is not over crowded with text but keeps the signature anchor and works so well. 300m water resistance and a 42mm diameter is almost perfect. I do not envy you having to make the choice between this and the True square. If you want more of an every day watch I think the Captain Cook might just edge as it is probably more versatile but that True square ceramic will not scratch and may get noticed more as it's different from other watches.
