I always took the “pick up your aunt” as being more about her safety and not walking home alone while it’s dark after her shift. Ben’s more upset about it than May is because it’s his job to protect her as her husband and he thought Pete would take that responsibility as seriously as he does. But when he doesn’t is when he’s really set off. To me it made sense that May wouldn’t be too upset because it’s not really a huge deal, she probably wouldn’t have gotten mugged/attacked on the walk back so it’s fuss over nothing. But it’s the principle of it, the fact he told Ben he understood and would get it done and didn’t. He wasn’t responsible
Yeah, as a woman, I’m surprised that he didn’t get it. They live in New York a city with very bad crime. Ben doesn’t want his wife to be walking home alone.

The second movie however, i have to agree with you it was just bad not even as a Spider-Man movie but just as a movie in general it had so many moments that were amazing, like Gwen's death. That will scene will always break my heart to watch, but then the villain and the when it comes to the tone and vibe of the movie, and the kinda unnecessary parts with Peter's fathers history. The movie simply took on too much and i wish the team had more time to refine it and make it right because it had so much potential and the director and the cast all deserved to finish the story that they were telling about Peter's family, if only Sony had not butted in and tried to throw in more than the story needed.
i mean uncle ben as a character, no matter the iteration, would nearly *never* mind his business, given that’s HIS responsibility, the same one he sees fit for peter to follow. also the point of the milk scene goes exactly with the same idea that the og had, where even if the cashier asking is silly, it’s not him who gets to peter- it’s peter himself. he absolutely, in any scenario, could have and should have stopped the guy robbing the store, even if the cashier was a dick. but because peter ignored ben’s advice and acted selfishly, he lost his life over a measly two cents. that’s the entire point, to show how peter’s rebellion and petty actions at that point, even over milk, even over something so minuscule, could destroy him, given the fact that he didn’t accept the necessary responsibility he should have.

There's something interesting I've found out about gaming in regards to the 1995-2014 time span. If the common consensus is the game is bad, it probably isn't. In fact they usually tend to be quite great. Especially the 2005-2012 period, if you hear a game being called bad in that era it's such a green flag, it literally has the opposite effect, games end up being mega fun.
TASM 1 is my favorite spiderman origin movie, its also extremely cinematic and flashy, both Spiderman 1 and Homecoming feel flat compared to it imo, you can tell its a product of the early 2010s. I love it.
When I first saw them they became my favorite. AG is goat SP. The chemistry with Gwen. In the 2nd one the CGI, the action scenes, the suit, the swinging scenes, everything looked good and it was a good mindless superhero movie. Yeah the plot was over stuffed and all over but it was a fun movie. TASM 1 and 2 are my favorites still
I always liked the TASM films, the first is my favourite just because I really like Lizard and Denis Leary is fantastic as Gwen's father and the darker tone worked for me. The sequel is a fun watch, Garfield's costume is the best live action suit in my opinion, the romance was believable and it left me wanting more after Gwen's tragic death.
There were definitely some odd choices in regards to the script, specially with the villains (I'm looking at you, Goblin), but these two movies have heart. The endings to both movies still make me tear up to this day. The first one with Ben's voicemail to Peter talking about how Peter has the potential to do great things for the world, and the second one with Peter finding the inner strength to continue being Spider-Man after the tragic loss of the love of his life. These movies were something else. I just wish that Sony's greedy ass didn't interfere with Marc Webb's vision, otherwise we could've gotten a Spidey trilogy superior to Sam Raimi's.
12:15 i meaaan, peter is suddenly overwhelmed with heightened senses on top of spider sense and an enhanced metabolism On top of that the train scenes editing was done to depict his spider sense as a reaction of his body.
13:40 yeah it’s not bad writing you just didn’t pay attention 😂😂. After peter forgets to pick up may, Uncle Ben says “ May had to walk all alone back home” obviously implying that it’s dangerous for her to be out without someone else( self explanatory). So yeah, Peter has to “pick her up” because anyone who’d want to do anything to may would see Peter was there. Gives her a sense of protection.
As a New Yorker Andrew accent isnt a problem. New york has a large variety of accents in the city so most people dont care. I'm so glad you talked about the shit take about Andrew being a cool punk skater kid its so annoying. Tom plays with legos and legos are expensive af you dont see me throwing a fit cause he is playing with legos because Peter is supposed to be broke.
the first amazing spider man is a nice popcorn film, all around solid, I’d give it a 7/10. The second, however, is seriously a disaster. Way too much happening, Spider-Man is too goofy and frequent with his jokes for my liking, all the villains are ass, Gwen died for no reason (could’ve just left like he warned her), etc… don’t even know what id rate AS2, but I know it’s by FAR the weakest of all spider man movies ever created.
I wish they had brought Paul Giamatti in as Rhino again in the multiverse movie Maybe eventually they’ll do more with Garfield and have him show up Could be cool if an accident led to him getting combined with the machine
Imagine the absolute terror the people inside the building must be feeling when seeing a guy just literally land and fucking stick to a window a hundred feet in the air😭 23:12
Dude what if he was on the plane with his parents and then became Iron fist and then came back and became spiderman too. Goated version of spiderman honestly
2:07 to be fair to him, he struggled a lot with the accent in Doctor Who with Daleks in Manhattan. Also, he's not the only one who struggled with an Americanized accent. Mark Sheppard struggled a lot in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. Accents are hard to maintain especially if you're not used to using them and I imagine that could also result in overexaggerating an accent. Another case I'd argue is Tara Strong's Harley Quinn accent. It's only slightly higher pitched than Arleen Sorkin's but it's noticeable I'm not an expert in any of this tbh
Uncle ben getting upset over Peter is because of safety reasons like he said May had to walk 12 blocks at night alone when Peter was supposed to be there with her. This why he brings up responsibility
its crazy how people make the argument that "andrew garfield is too cool to be peter parker/spiderman" and also how they hate the suit the suit is the most realistic its darker colorsand sleek so he can blend in with the dark the entire reason he made that suit was because he wanted to kill uncle bens killer and hide his identity and the lenses as sunglasses make so much sense and people mostly hate on the lenses becuase there "yellow" they have a yellow tint but most of the time in the movie there just reflecting the city or there almost fully black but sometimes there is a yellow tint to them people will also say they hate the texture "it looks like a basket ball" the texture makes sense it looks sticky so he can climb walls easier with the suit and hes also a teenager obviously he is gonna add a bunch of random stuff to the suit to make it look cool in my opinion i think its the best suit

The deleted Max Dillian scene where we see his sick mother would have helped to understand a little bit more about his character and what he is going through.
I recently rewatched the first one a few days back, and gotta say I enjoyed it a lot more than I recall in the past. Andrews take on peter had a bit of of that sciency genius take more than toby's portrayal. Andrews spider man also gave some "marvels spider man" kind of of vibes, bit of that aura from the games imo.
Loving the vid but bro u didn’t just say that oscorp built the web fluid when real life scientists study and work on spider silk 😭 they were probably trynna create a stronger type of silk which is what scientists hv been trying to do for a while now
This version of spiderman is my favourite as i love how realistic it is, i love the suit design, i love the little conversations he has with people and i love that he isnt a nerd but just a regular kid
8:55 they actually answer this in a “blink and you miss it” moment. Those cases are purchasable. He buys them from OSCORP whenever he’s running low. It’s heavily implied he figured out how to make them himself when making his web shooters
The worker coming back with all his favors is deus ex machina done right, it’s silly and kind of an asspull, but it’s also heartwarming and works to develop Peter AND a side character
No matter what the scene with the alarm clock always gets me
Remember everyone. Peter is "intelligent"
Not smart
Amazing video bro. Keep It Up!
Being apart of the younger people who was born in the 2010s since I’m younger I do give these movies more props than normally given because I’m just now seeing them. These movies are very good I prefer them over the newer ones the style, graphics, story is all what I like about these movies.
1:02:30 “Rejected fourth member of the Blue Men Group” is CRAZY 🤣
16:23 Bruh, I don't have a problem with this. The Phrase also gets enlarged In the Ultimate Spider-Man comic and Nobody complained there...the only difference is that Peter wasn't being Assaulted By Lizz at a Party
There's something interesting I've found out about gaming in regards to the 1995-2014 time span.
If the common consensus is the game is bad, it probably isn't. In fact they usually tend to be quite great. Especially the 2005-2012 period, if you hear a game being called bad in that era it's such a green flag, it literally has the opposite effect, games end up being mega fun.
another zestyy masterpiece! keep up the great work :)
TASM 1 is my favorite spiderman origin movie, its also extremely cinematic and flashy, both Spiderman 1 and Homecoming feel flat compared to it imo, you can tell its a product of the early 2010s. I love it.
8:00 i do not think he thought they were notable enough to get news letters about their deaths
always as good to me as they were back then. i loved them, andrew is and always will be my favorite version of peter/spiderman
Why does this man not have more subs
1:17:00 is legit the funniest and most relatable thing ever, I often have that exact same reaction after I hop off a 2 hour call with a friend lmao
Andrew Garfield and Sean o mallei feel like brothers
Loved the Video excited for the next one 💪
When I first saw them they became my favorite. AG is goat SP. The chemistry with Gwen. In the 2nd one the CGI, the action scenes, the suit, the swinging scenes, everything looked good and it was a good mindless superhero movie. Yeah the plot was over stuffed and all over but it was a fun movie. TASM 1 and 2 are my favorites still
Cool video. On a side note, did you also do a voice over for a regular show retrospective by any chance?
Appreciate it bro🙏🏽 but no that wasn't me
36:29 yes there is a reason. Peter noticed small lizards going into the sewers, so he figures out that Connors might be doing that too
Been saying they were good forever. Second one is a little messy, of course, but I still love ‘em
Blud straight yapping on god yessir
12:15 i meaaan, peter is suddenly overwhelmed with heightened senses on top of spider sense and an enhanced metabolism
On top of that the train scenes editing was done to depict his spider sense as a reaction of his body.
46:44 They wanted to match the tone of what was popular. The first movie with The Dark Knight and the second movie with The Avengers/MCU.
My favorite spider movies
Especially the 1st one second one was a bit rushed but so so damn good
idk and idc why youtube keeps recommedning this vid ive seen it like 9 times alerady great vid 👌👌👌👌
Checked out as soon as you called my boy Toby dull in the Raimi movies. Blasphemy!
the first amazing spider man is a nice popcorn film, all around solid, I’d give it a 7/10.
I wish they had brought Paul Giamatti in as Rhino again in the multiverse movie
Maybe eventually they’ll do more with Garfield and have him show up
Could be cool if an accident led to him getting combined with the machine
30:16 he’s not lying that shit hit after he finished the sentence.
I believe I fixed most of this franchise's problems in my TASM fanfiction.
Why is no one talking about the exclusive song from the neighborhood honest in the end titles?
I mean, this is a ridden gem.
The amazing spider man 1 is legit one of the best spider man movies. It’s REALLY good.
That Duracell joke got me cackling 💀
2:07 to be fair to him, he struggled a lot with the accent in Doctor Who with Daleks in Manhattan.
Also, he's not the only one who struggled with an Americanized accent. Mark Sheppard struggled a lot in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon.
Accents are hard to maintain especially if you're not used to using them and I imagine that could also result in overexaggerating an accent.
Another case I'd argue is Tara Strong's Harley Quinn accent. It's only slightly higher pitched than Arleen Sorkin's but it's noticeable
I'm not an expert in any of this tbh
I bet some other youtuber will probably make a response video to this saying you're wrong, i really like both movies, but i bet it will happen
This is a great channel
Uncle ben getting upset over Peter is because of safety reasons like he said May had to walk 12 blocks at night alone when Peter was supposed to be there with her. This why he brings up responsibility
Also Ben’s responsibility line is longer because they’re trying to not do the same thing as tobey, comics etc.
fantano expanding the brand
its crazy how people make the argument that "andrew garfield is too cool to be peter parker/spiderman" and also how they hate the suit the suit is the most realistic its darker colorsand sleek so he can blend in with the dark the entire reason he made that suit was because he wanted to kill uncle bens killer and hide his identity and the lenses as sunglasses make so much sense and people mostly hate on the lenses becuase there "yellow" they have a yellow tint but most of the time in the movie there just reflecting the city or there almost fully black but sometimes there is a yellow tint to them people will also say they hate the texture "it looks like a basket ball" the texture makes sense it looks sticky so he can climb walls easier with the suit and hes also a teenager obviously he is gonna add a bunch of random stuff to the suit to make it look cool in my opinion i think its the best suit
1. Toby. 2. Tom 3. Andrew. Thars my preference if spiderman.
1:02:04 Oscorp finally cracks the code 😭
TASM2 should have focused on Gwen and Harry. Max should of been a reflection of Peter and the way he is feeling
"i don't like his new york accent" he says about the guy from new york
500 days of Spider-Man
The first movie was perfect
Only 900 subs? When you make it big im gonna be in your 1 in 1000 squad.
The Sony movies had such amazing actor's, had decent Directors and just ehhh out come
