You can pick one of these up for about 200 bucks and the shells are dirt cheap as well. The pure joy of obliterating a television, erm I mean target at close range is never forgotten. To quote the Simpsons: "...like God must feel when he's holding a gun."
I love my 870 express. People who play video games just don't realize that buckshot can kill out to 75 yards (if you have a good choke) and a lot who live in fear of 12 gauge recoil are pleasantly surprised to find out that 2 3/4 target loads don't hurt a bit

Good call on the .22 Bolt action. The first rifle i shot was a single shot Remington Target master when i was about 5-6. Loved it, it was so accurate i used to shoot clays out from under my father at the range that he was trying to hit with a scoped .30 cal rifle lol. He used to get so pissed off hahaha. That rifle and "penny drills" taught me to shoot steady. I got to the point i could open/close the bolt without the penny falling off the barrel.
M16 "destined to hit the jungles of vietnam", i think he meant the ground 'cause i've heard and read accounts of them jamming when ever someone looks at them twice.
The very first rifle that I've ever fired was a restored 1944 M1 Garand. It was the heaviest, recoiling, angry piece of weaponry I've ever touched in my life and to this day I wish I could teleport back to when I was 16 and relive that day at the range. The wood and steel in your hands feel crafted for war and the iron sights are perfect. I still get goosebumps when I remember that glorious ping after the 8th round. I love that rifle.
At ITB during the Infantry machine gunners course, we took the 240B's on tripods and mounted the PVS 17C night vision optic for a night time, unknown distance range. The 4.5 power optic makes it pretty easy to traverse and elevate between targets during limited visibility.
Actually, the M16 was hated by the troops in Vietnam because they were told that they were "Self-Cleaning" and never jammed...which got a lot of people killed.
I think you got one part wrong, the M16 was hated at first because of how hard it was to clean and the failure in the first generation... overall great video though
+AKF .gaming I personally sit on the fence whether or not that the first m16s were hated (there's two sides to every coin) but they did see improvements and I can see how it made the list. I will note that my grandfather did not particularly like them at first when he was serving.
+AKF .gaming the issues with the m16 are blown out of proportion, by 1969 there were no problems at all and around 67 or so when they started issuing cleaning kits 90% of problems went away. I shoot Vietnam era guns a lot and my m16 has never had one issue. Don't form your opinion without running one, the Internet is full of people who watched the ar15 episode of tales of the gun and now know m16's are pos's but have never actually shot one to know.
The initial wave of M16s to hit the field were well admired. The ones after that were when soldiers started to see the shortcomings of the weapon. Also, just wondering: Why did you remove the covers of the AKs?
"... And the firing of the famous last round results in a harmonious ping that always brings a smile to my face." *completely focused, blank expression*
I would reccommend shooting an old Trapdoor Springfield .45-70 and Black Powder rifles. Trapdoor Springfield's are such fun guns to shoot. The blast, the kick, everything is just amazing!
Well I've had the fortune to fire an LMG (Bren) GPMG (M240) L1A1 (FN FAL) Enfield No 4 Mk2, Browning HP, Parker-Hale match, Sterling SMG, SA80, and a few shotguns but that was back in the 80's when Army Cadets in the UK got some range time. This was before numerous incidents which we're all familiar with that changed the laws and availability over here so it's tricky to say the least! Planning on a holiday in the US to visit some chums so fingers crossed :)
Just found this video in early July and the CMP is out of M1's and don't expect to get more. Not even four months after this video was made and the best lead i've had on a decent M1 is already null.
I really enjoyed your selection of guns and the reasoning behind each one. As a new shooter I’ve come to appreciate many of the choices you made. I hope to get the opportunity to shoot each one and probably own at least half of them.
Considering I'm in the UK I find my self lucky to have shot a gun at all, saying that tho I have shot a MP5 before and it was great. Can't say I enjoy pistols that shoot .45 since I'm a small framed guy tho the HK usp was fun. I recommend a MP5 to everyone tho since they are such good guns. Also the only AR I have used is the SA80 (go figure) it's a good laugh too tho you may loose the feeling and hearing in the entire right hand side of your face :D How fun are GPMG's?
+Jamie Grant as a soldier who has gotten to fire a 240 249 and m2. belt feds are FUCKING. AWESOME. to shoot. they lose alot of the fun factor if your'e just blindly shooting them into a backstop, but when you have something to mow down its amazing. not just getting to shoot them but watch the destruction they cause downrange is an experience all itself.
Proud owner of an authentic Mouser, and I totally agree. For what it is, it's a great rifle, and despite minimal maintinance and a tad of abuse over the years, it still fires like brand new and never takes a second shot to down a deer haha.
its a list about guns to shoot before you die. you should experience black powder before you die. Not every one shoots black powder to learn about history. I and many others shoot for hunting and competition.
My list : 1)MP5SD3 2)M21 3)CAR-15 (colt model 727) 4)M416 5)MacMillian MCRT tactical marksman rifle 6) CZ Scorpion evo carbine 7) Galil Ace 8) Remington 870 9) M3 grease gun 10) SW40 I would also love to get my hands around a MAC-11 and a CZ-75
Yeah, I wondered about that one. Everything I've seen and read seems to say that the troops hated the M16 in Vietnam. Under powered, unreliable so in need of constant stripping and cleaning, and too fragile to use in a melee situation. Clout someone with it and bits broke off. Heard bad things about the M60 as well, the worst being that the trigger group had a tendency to fall off the weapon when you weren't looking. Vietnam must have sucked harder than it had to if you couldn't count on the two main infantry weapons you needed to stay alive.
Rob Ashton because the soldiers were told that they didn't have to clean them, and the constant hear can screw up the plastic. This according to my father, who was there at the time of the switch from M14 to M16
original stoner M16 that were issued to the soldiers in Vietnam had jamming issues the weather and the conditions that the soldiers were fighting in we're causing problems with the rifle they had to come back through and retrofit them to correct it issues they Chrome the barrels and they worked on the internal mechanisms after that them 16 was the preferred weapon by us combat troops in Vietnam and conflicts after that
I’m 5/10 here. I’d add an MP7, a desert eagle, suppressed MarkIV, a real grease gun, and a full auto Thompson - the last being a real Cadillac of a sub machine gun
+schnitzel I don't think there is any country in Europe where firearms are simply outlawed through and through. Most just require some kind of license.
Thanks for your video. I would change alot of numbers but with your Nr 1 you showed me that we have the same tast but like different guns. I wish for you you can put a hand on a Vss or dragunov long. I wish you the best. Greetings from Germany
1. Too expensive, heavy, and power hungry for anything but a military to operate. 2. Yeah okay. 3. No reason to choose this over just about any other semi-modern LMG except video games. 4. Unreliable mags, stupid rate of fire, rare and expensive. 5. ...The MP-5 is already on the list. Integral suppression is just redundant. 6. Stupid movie gun with zero actual applications; Uncontrollable in full auto, which is the only reason you get one, massive, and expensive. 7. Completely uncontrollable. Useless feature to give a handgun. 8. Another yeah okay. 9. Almost as overrated as the AA-12. Rate of fire was too fast, they’re too expensive, very very heavy and they’re not particularly accurate. 10. Even in military use, only gets used seriously for ordinance disposal. Good. Not worthy of the list.
Anything that uses a .22LR cartridge will always be fun for a long day of shooting, cheap ammunition, low kick and recoil. That being said shooting a Mauser Karabiner 98 Kurz in 7.92x57mm Mauser is always my favourite. Getting the chance to shoot other firearms is just icing on the cake.
I'd like to add an original Remington Model 10 shotgun to this list, in my short life I have shot dozens of different 12 gauge shotguns ranging from H&R single shots all the way up to $100,000+ high end bird guns from the English companies and I always end up sticking to my grandpa's old Model 10 since it has the least felt recoil of any scattergun I've shot to date.
A Walther PPK. It has a small package with some serious stopping power behind it though. Great for an EDC, and if you thread the barrel amazing to shoot suppressed.
Thompson Submachine Gun full auto Big Bore Revolver Classic Winchester 1892 Colt single action Barrett M107A Mac 10 Uzi full auto MG 42 AA-12 Kriss Vector BAR This is my firearms bucket list. May not be up to some of your standards but I’m still fairly new to shooting and haven’t gotten much opportunities to shoot different guns
I have done all of these and live in the UK. Unfortunately would not be able to do some as a civilian now but I have the no 1 22 superseded with optical sight fir pest control
Not sure if I enjoyed firing the m2a1 more or the mk 19. Watching a burst of APIT tag the steel truck silhouettes at several hundred meters is pretty badass. The 40mm HEDP also makes an easily observable flash during direct hits on the steel targets.
+1 on the big bore revolver. I love shooting .44mag, I just can't help but grin. I would add a Thomson Center Contender in a rifle caliber. There is something unnerving and exciting about shooting a rifle cartridge in a handgun. I love my contenders :)
I like many younger shooters went for semi autos when moving into rifles from pistols. I now enjoy a good bolt gun more than any semi auto for a day at the range. I think both have their place but if I could do it again I'd have started with bolt guns and focused on fundamentals more before "going fast". Great video:) I completely agree with your number one, instead of a CZ I went with a RPR in 22lr.
Browning recoil operated semi auto rifle or shotgun. The A-5 Browning, Remington Model 11 or Savage 720 or Remington Model 8 or 81 will do. Unusual recoil impulse, different from anything else.
I completely agree, excellent list. Colt 1911 has always been my favorite pistol. Even though I am from and live in England I do love and regularly fire guns (legally!). If you get chance try a British SA80. Not as good as the Steyr Aug but still a brilliant Bull-pup IMO.
GAU-21 is the most fun firearm I've ever fired. I know he included a belt-fed machine gun on the list but there is something really special about firing 1,000 .50 cal rounds a minute.
the best part about my last trip to the range was going from some kind of modern garand chambered in .308 (had a bipod and grip too) to a little ruger .22 varmint killer. the difference in recoil made me giggle.
I would add a P-08 because of its unique recoil, maybe a Browning model 8 for the same reason. And perhaps something black powdery because of the beautiful bangs they make :)
4:40 I heard otherwise. It's definitely a great gun today, but back in the day I'm pretty sure it had reliability issues, and was considered an underpowered "poodleshooter" by the first soldiers who used them.
I'd have to add a semi-auto shotgun. I went to the range with two .38s, a .40, two pumps, and my 1953 Browning Auto-5. The Browning was, by far, the most fun to shoot.
that Mauser sounds a lot like my twenty two. their easy to use, reliable, bolt action, simple to take apart, and they both have a wood stock so they look similar as well. of course the Mauser is a larger caliber than my .22 but that's one of the few differences i can see from this video. also my .22 has a different style of iron sights. of all the guns i've shot, including an SKS and a full auto, it is by far my favorite gun to shoot.

I would rather shot an MG42 before I die😂
Cpt Leopoldstein I have. They are fun :D
Me too. I shot alot of mg3 but no mg42 in my range to shoot. I think I have to go to America to shoot a gun my country is famous for
Jebote JebemTI your country is not the same country that is famous for the mg42
mg42
Add in the Stg 44, Luftwaffe Drilling, c96 mod 706, mg 44. Also it is ft-42 not mg that is a machine gun 42
Actually, the M16 was hated by the troops in Vietnam because they were told that they were "Self-Cleaning" and never jammed...which got a lot of people killed.
yeah then they revised with newer models that didn't do it nearly as much. was a mess the first m16's
I think you got one part wrong, the M16 was hated at first because of how hard it was to clean and the failure in the first generation... overall great video though
+AKF .gaming I was speaking of the soldiers during Project Agile who sung its praises.
+TFB TV Ahh, I was speaking of the normal foot man in Vietnam.
+AKF .gaming I personally sit on the fence whether or not that the first m16s were hated (there's two sides to every coin) but they did see improvements and I can see how it made the list. I will note that my grandfather did not particularly like them at first when he was serving.
+Garbasker My dad said his unit hated them with a passion
When you were talking about low capacity on the 1911. I have a RIA double stack. Love it.
why no shotguns?

>"absolutely shit"

7 x62mm cartridge?
Who wields this kind of gun?
kenneth2145 because shotguns are for pussies

how about flint or cap lock rifle
Yeah like an enfield 1853
KYRedneck 1911 Blech.
awesome vids - just subscribed - no 2 minute BS graphic intro, no stupid music - thank you. And good narration.
I would reccommend shooting an old Trapdoor Springfield .45-70 and Black Powder rifles. Trapdoor Springfield's are such fun guns to shoot. The blast, the kick, everything is just amazing!
How about bump fire semi 12G shot guns? You know you want it.
7:07 yo where tf yo dust cover at?
*starts swimming towards the USA*
Cmon over!
+TFB TV can you make another mosin vs mauser challenge? Just invite russian man and let him shoot from mosin.
Welp I have shot 9/10 of the guns on that list.
+Scott7891 What are you missing?
TFB TV The bolt action 22 w/ suppressor. Would be cool to try but not a big priority for me.
+TFB TV Are you going to do a video on the beautiful Russian Tokarev 7.62x25 I have one from 1953 shot is 100 times no problem
+Scott7891 I'm on the other end at only 1/10. I guess I'll have to postpone death for awhile.
BamFMarksman1 Well I am still in my 20's so unless some freak accident occurs I should still have time.
the Garand was designed by a CANADIAN imigrant
Jesse DeAth yea, thats why he said emigrant
NOBODY GIVES A SHIT
AWESOME. to shoot. they lose alot of the fun factor if your'e just blindly shooting them into a backstop, but when you have something to mow down its amazing. not just getting to shoot them but watch the destruction they cause downrange is an experience all itself.
claytonmachine12 ill give one a try someday. they are 556 right?
some are, 249s, SHRIKES, and a few others are (5.56 guns will also shoot .223 but NOT vice versa), 240s, m60s and the like are 7.62(308)
I'd add a Tommygun with drum clip, or magazine or whatever those are caller. Gotta love those Tommys.
Proud owner of an authentic Mouser, and I totally agree. For what it is, it's a great rifle, and despite minimal maintinance and a tad of abuse over the years, it still fires like brand new and never takes a second shot to down a deer haha.
Le enfield 303 :-)
I'm trying to sell mine now. I just can't find any ammo for it.
Smle lll the best of the best
Some sort of black powder should have been on this!
yes
its a list about guns to shoot before you die. you should experience black powder before you die. Not every one shoots black powder to learn about history. I and many others shoot for hunting and competition.
shooting black powder gives you an appreciation for modern firearms.
*Cries in swedish*
My list :
1)MP5SD3
2)M21
3)CAR-15 (colt model 727)
4)M416
5)MacMillian MCRT tactical marksman rifle
6) CZ Scorpion evo carbine
7) Galil Ace
8) Remington 870
9) M3 grease gun
10) SW40
I would also love to get my hands around a MAC-11 and a CZ-75
Forgoing the heavy metal music intro is a refreshing change.
Thank you.
Good video.
a mosian Nagant is a gun that everyone should shoot
Bullshit the soldiers in Vietnam like the m16's
the inital m16's did suck. then they revised and made them like-able
NightSign maybe the A1. How would you know?
original stoner M16 that were issued to the soldiers in Vietnam had jamming issues the weather and the conditions that the soldiers were fighting in we're causing problems with the rifle they had to come back through and retrofit them to correct it issues they Chrome the barrels and they worked on the internal mechanisms after that them 16 was the preferred weapon by us combat troops in Vietnam and conflicts after that
The M16 was hated by most Vietnam soldiers because it's constant jamming
Read up on project agile.
I’m 5/10 here. I’d add an MP7, a desert eagle, suppressed MarkIV, a real grease gun, and a full auto Thompson - the last being a real Cadillac of a sub machine gun
Thank you for putting bullups on here, personally, out of all the firearms I've used, the SA80 A2 was by far my favourite.
I'm from Europe so i'll never get to shoot any of these...
+schnitzel I don't think there is any country in Europe where firearms are simply outlawed through and through. Most just require some kind of license.
+TFB TV the level of restriction is just mind blowing but then again look on the bright side ? lol there's no nutters shooting up schools ?
+Abdiwahab Hersi No, we just have nutters shoot up islands, concerts, trains,...
underdog4gaming exactly hahahahaha
+TFB TV Switzerland or Austria is probably the most relaxed about gun ownership
Man you look like your having a good time. I hope to cross some of these off. Guns are tools each size has its purpose to me. Great vid.
Thanks for your video. I would change alot of numbers but with your Nr 1 you showed me that we have the same tast but like different guns. I wish for you you can put a hand on a Vss or dragunov long. I wish you the best. Greetings from Germany
Dude, subing for number 1. My most favorite rifle was a bolt-action .22 I bought for $35nzd
1- mini gun
2- mg-42
3- hk-21
4- ppsh
5- mp-5sd
6-AA 12
7 - full auto glock
8- stg-44
9- tommy gun
10- 50 cal sniper rifle
Sig 226 and 239 SAS. Also, the CZ 75B, Beretta 92G (Wilson Combat Edition) and H&K Mark 23 and P7.
I've been lucky enough to shoot 7/10 that where on this list, excluding the MP5, belt fed, and the suppressed .22. Nice video!
The list was really great, I enjoyed the videos
I'd like to add an original Remington Model 10 shotgun to this list, in my short life I have shot dozens of different 12 gauge shotguns ranging from H&R single shots all the way up to $100,000+ high end bird guns from the English companies and I always end up sticking to my grandpa's old Model 10 since it has the least felt recoil of any scattergun I've shot to date.
A Walther PPK. It has a small package with some serious stopping power behind it though. Great for an EDC, and if you thread the barrel amazing to shoot suppressed.
I got to take a few shots from a FN P90 this weekend and it was amazing. So accurate and no recoil. It was like shooting my bb gun. I need one!!!
I fully agree with your #1 pick, and to shooters who cannot get a supressor equipped .22 try .22 short, or better a .22 bb cap. or .22 cb cap
excellent list. the ruger 10/22 charger with a can and good red dot and laser combo is stupid fun
Thompson Submachine Gun full auto
Big Bore Revolver
Classic Winchester 1892
Colt single action
Barrett M107A
Mac 10 Uzi full auto
MG 42
AA-12
Kriss Vector
BAR
This is my firearms bucket list.
I appreciate the .22 on this list. My first rifle was a Remington 581 and I love it. Like stated, fun and affordable.
Feather weight at-22 or a marlin model 80 would been my list love those as teenager a brick of ammo cost 10 buck back then.
I’ve fired a M1 garland and a 1911 at a range in PA once absolutely loved it
I'd have to add a semi-auto shotgun.
