      Good list, but I'm thinking .. in order #1 being your choice of 9mm carry guns, like the NRA P365.. #2 the AR Rifle, so versatile.. #3 a pump shotgun like the Mossberg, versatile again....... #4. mare's leg 22 which is easy to carry along with lots of ammo and versatile... #5 a larger 9mm such as the P365 Macro using the shared mags with the std p365
      This would cover just about every situation that a gunner would find themselves outside of competition shooting specialties. After these 5 needs filled, then you just fill in as your tastes, preferences, and wallet dictate.

    It doesn't really matter if the PX4 breaks at 40K round mark. Almost no one on earth is ever going to spend the $12,000 on that much 9mm to hit that count. For 99% of 9mm shooters the PX4's durability is virtually infinite.

    Mr. Langdon sells it all well. I have a PX4 LTT compact. I bought it from a guy who said it was difficult to carry. He was a heavy set gent AND a TFB fan. (To be fair he was an older dude and a disabled vet)
    I met him at a Dairy Queen to trade a nice 1911 for his beretta. I asked him if he had any trouble with the beretta. He mentioned that it interfered with his love of Oreo blizzards and peanut butter parfait. I asked him how so and he explained that he felt fat shamed by the beretta because his wife (also proudly heavy) laughed at his fanny pack he carried it in.
    I was trying to be polite and told him maybe the overalls (Big Smith brand) were throwing off the ensemble. This guy was very entertaining.
    Turns out we’d both bought the Ruger LCP Max after watching TFB. I asked if he pocket carried his. He kept it in the front chest pocket of his overalls. He tried to front pocket carry, but the pistol kept falling to his feet.
    Being close to 50 and having had Pawpaws and great uncles I knew what he was referring to. There is an access slot between the pocket of the overalls and your pants should you want to wear them as coveralls. He called them his driving pockets and then smiled as his wife and she smiled back.
    Yeah…so I bought a LTT PX4 compact.

    • @aperson4057
      @aperson4057 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've realized that a lot of people who don't like the PX4 either don't know to shoot DA/SA guns specifically, don't know how to shoot in general and so struggle with the DA/SA guns, or have issues with its size and their (most of the time) improper way of carrying a firearm.
      Some will complain that its too thick, even though it is the same size and width as most double stack compacts (Glock 19 size). Now some people prefer smaller carry guns which I have no issue with. If this guy isn't trying to change the way he dress than all be it to him and he should what he comfortably can.

    • @bj5731
      @bj5731 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aperson4057 I think you missed the point. He was too fat to carry it concealed and liked wearing overalls. He’s a 78 year old Vietnam vet who’s hip to new things even if it meant wearing a fanny pack. It was just a funny story on how I got my LTT PX4 Compact. If one has to wear suspenders rather than a belt, a mid size pistol in apex carry is not for you. He didn’t want to go to the Cracker Barrel in his fishing vest so he could carry concealed.

    I’m glad Beretta has made changes to the 1301. I bought one back in the 90s that was NOT soft-shooting at all, because it was extremely lightweight, so light in fact that it didn’t do anything to remediate felt recoil. The new ones are a definite step up.
    I bought a PX4 9mm when they first came out, and right out of the box, it was a comfortable, sweet shooting handgun that ran like a champ. Unfortunately, mine shed its front sight after two mags, probably from an out of spec dovetail cut. I took it back and had another brand new PX4 from Beretta within two weeks. Can’t say enough good about Beretta!

      @JR-gp2zk the M9 was the worst service pistol in modern times. The 80 series guns are bigger, more complex, less powerful and less capable than the Glock 19. Their subguns are solid, handguns far less so.

    • @cavalieroutdoors6036
      @cavalieroutdoors6036 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jfk767none4 the 80 series guns were also introduced in 1976. Polymers were still kind if in their infancy. And compared to what was available at the time, perfect for the purpose they served. Now, why we're comparing a 50 year old gun design to a 40 year old gun design is beyond me, but at least Beretta has released new pistols and aren't simply laying on their Model 92 'perfection' laurels.

    • @jfk767none4
      @jfk767none4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cavalieroutdoors6036 the HK VP70 predates the 80 series Beretta if I remember right, not that that matters. My point is that their best selling supposedly compact carry gun for better than a generation was the same size as a more powerful, more durable gun with greater capacity. The Beretta guns look good but that's not performance. I buy guns to shoot, not to look at. By actual objective standards the Beretta 80 series and 92 style guns are inferior products.

    • @jfk767none4
      @jfk767none4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JR-gp2zk the issue you are relying on, that of the alleged drop safety issue, never impacted the military issue handgun as far as I can tell. The military specified trigger standards were different than the commercial guns.
      The Beretta is heavier and bulkier. They are also more complex and prone to breaking parts. In fact the projected lifecycle of some of it's major components is so short it's clearly inferior. The suggestion that you should replace the locking block every however many rounds is like saying you should replace the pistons in a gas engine every 20,000 miles. The DA trigger is literally a solution in search of a problem. What are it's supposed advantages? There really are none and it makes it much harder to train shooters and requires far more repetition to master than does single action or most striker fired guns. You give me any reason you think a traditional double action auto is superior and I'll explain why it is that you are wrong.

    I found my favorite 22 in a neighbor's paper barrel in his garage, along with about 10 other long guns. It's a Winchester 72 tack driver. Came with a Ted Williams scope too. Had a weird haze of rust that just wiped off with oil. I shoot a light pole (2") at about 100 yards with CB rounds one after another ringing the pole seconds after the silent shot. It's truly an amazing rifle. Squirrels are never impressed with it.

      If he were somehow able to fix the main complaints that haven't already been addressed on that rifle (primarily the accuracy and maybe a little tweaking of the pistol grip, since there were already improved triggers and other parts), he really would be a wizard of the first order.

    For anyone who shoots ambidextrous the LTT HK P30 is magical. I’ve owned a LTT Beretta PX4 subcompact and it shoots just as Ernest stated, but I was dropping magazine regularly when changing hands. The LTT P30 shoots incredibly well and the paddle mag release is a game changer for anyone that trains and shoots CAR.

    I want to see how good that LT PX4 trigger is. I've shot two models, in the larger calibers. Both were street box versions, and those triggers were quite smooth and crisp. It's hard to imagine them getting much better.

      I've spoken to a rep and he too said he's trying to get that earworm into Beretta's R&D department.
      So far he said he thinks maybe by 2024 or 2025 we might see a second generation Px4!
      Because while in America the Px4 did not do so well, internationally it was a huge success.

    I've got almost the EXACT same setup with my Savage MkII FV-SR. That's what model that is, btw. I've got the same Gemtech Outback II-D, but the rifle is in a Boyd's Tacticool stock, and I just switched from a bipod like yours to a cheap, but more extendable Magpul MOE. Scope on mine is currently a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50, which is a little overkill, but I have to agree, suppressed, subsonic .22lr out of that rifle is SO MUCH FUN!

    • @lordhuck2689
      @lordhuck2689 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't really matter if it breaks at 40K round mark. Almost no one on earth is ever going to spend the $12,000 on that much 9mm to hit that count. For 99% of 9mm shooters the PX4's durability is virtually infinite.

    Add a .338 with big glass for long range and that would be a hell of an apocalypse gun list.........the man know's what he is doing that's for damn sure. I can't wait to get my Langdon Beretta one day. I have the Wilson centurion and it's great but I want both. As soon as I can The 1301 and PX4 are on my list. I will most likely have to slowly build them out with his parts due to finances but that's why their stuff is so great. That trigger in a bag concept makes men like me smile like Christmas morning. My plan was to buy a 92X centurion and do Langdon upgrades but the guy at the shop had the used Wilson for a good deal so I did that.......I may carry out my O.G plan on a full size if I am unable to get a complete gun fro him. In a way that's why I'm leaning toward a PX-4 also. If I snatch one at a pawn shop I a buy a slide/trigger kit from good old Ernest after to slap an optic on. Thanks for the content James........and thank's Ernest Langdon for being AWESOME.
