When 21:05 started playing when Peco was playing vs Kazama in the Semis I instantly could tell Kazama was having fun playing Ping Pong. I was smiling all the way through. One of the best soundtracks to one of the best animes ever made.
@@bratman5262 then we respect each other, for me Yuasa and Watanabe are the best directors alongside Miyazaki. The storytelling, the soundtracks, the atmospheres just gorgeous.
This anime hits close to home. I played for almost 6 years. I never made it big, and always felt behind some other people that started after me and did it. When I stopped training professionally, I started playing for fun in my school and met a lot of new amazing people that I will forever remember. All the people I met actually. Most of them don't even play anymore. Some are married. The place we went together to play doesn't exist anymore. But all of this will remain as a beautiful memory in our lives.
Hero Appears / Hero Theme are some of the most menacing tracks in the entire OST. The chord progression is similar to a part of The Cure's 'Burn', which is interesting. Kensuke Ushio is a genius at identifying how to add tension to the series' direction while building its plot with said progression. It conveys a sense of something approaching that will eventually arrive. Simply brilliant.
Thank you Taiyō Matsumoto for Ping Pong. Thank you Masaaki Yuasa for diricting the animation. And Thank you Kensuke Ushio for this awesome OST. It's been so many years, and I still listen to to this. It means so much to me. I had a hard time when I watched this series for the first time. It helped me to go through.
For me that I don’t play ping pong I see something else which is the duality and the reciprocity that happens between smile and peko, they need each other in order to be better persons. Also the phrase “blood tastes like iron” means that you only know what it tastes like if you hurt yourself doing something, only throughout effort you will know what it’s like to have success and also have fun doing it, don’t take it too seriously. This show makes me cry and gives me happiness all at the same time Masaki Yuasa outdid himself in this one. The best character for me is the dude that wonders around to finally accept that he was running away from the thing he loves the most, Ping Pong.
@@fargxam Masaki Yuasa is a great director, but you have to give credit to the mangaka Taiyo Matsumuto, he's an absolutely genius when it comes to creating characters.

This man's gonna compose the soundtrack for Chainsaw Man. Even if the animation totally sucks, which is unlikely, I'll watch it anyways for the soundtrack.

Hero Appears / Hero theme is great for sports when you want to do that extra push
Kensuke Ushio is SUCH an artist who makes anime grow in their potential with his OSTs. So glad he gets to work on CSM

What a show!!! the soundtrack just makes it 10times better.
An athlete mentality. This show beautifully capture the side of sports that feel very personal.

the best is not being centered around bullshit powerups like the most popular shounen titles on sports.
watched the anime for the first time 3 days ago and been pumping this OST every day - Especially Like a Dance 8:25 goes incredibly hard
This show had emotional arcs on arcs. Love all the characters

This anime is so good, it's the type of thing that would make a newcomer hooked on anime for the next decade.
@@FlameSlayer1901 it would be false expectations because nothing comes close. I just finished this anime myself and imo it is flawless, a 10/10.

Ping Pong Phase 2 followed by Peco, it's so good
Love the Butterfly logo on the FH
