HELLO Sweet friends! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Samantha, my hubby’s name is Maurice. We have a “yours, mine and ours” situation (although we both consider them all OURS) when it comes to family. We share 5 kiddos, MG (11), LL (9), TM (6), KN (3) and sweet little ER (1). I am a Home Childcare Provider, a planning fanatic and a cleaning nut. If you need advice/motivation on daycare, getting and STAYING organized (cause that’s the REAL battle), meal planning and prepping, cleaning or just about anything #momlife, then you’ve come to the right place. I don’t sugar coat, I don’t hide…this is #REALLIFE. You will see messes, you will see smeared mascara, you will hear LOTS of screaming children (both happily and not so happily) and you will HOPEFULLY walk away with some tips and tricks or maybe just some comfort in knowing there is another hot mess momma out there!

I am so glad I found your Chanel. I have been running a home day care for past 8 years with 5-8 kids. Now I am planning to open a day care center. I need to put together a curriculum. Your video helps a lot.
Awesome ideas! Love your videos. I don’t have a television in my daycare but I plan to get one. Netflix has some great educational shows now. I do the very hungry caterpillar and they have it on there now. We grow butterflies and set them free in the spring. In the fall we do chicks. I only have infants right now so no projects yet. Easy days with no lessons for the most part but I don’t like the babysitter vibe. 🤷🏾♀️💕

Samantha what great ideas! I own a center and I love your curriculum map! We use a curriculum based along with weekly themes! I have enjoyed watching your video and subscribed! I LOVED this video! We are so alike in our philosophy of Education. I also think the best way kids learn is through play, but that doesn't have to mean "free play" only. I think a lot of providers and early education teachers get this mixed up. My group thrives on a schedule and different types of activities throughout the day. I think a big part of our job is creating an inviting learning environment that encourages learning through play. My theme is Camping this month also:)

You should release the themes so if someone wants to donate books they would know which themes to buy books for.

I like teachers pay teachers. I just bought a ton of stuff from there for like $25.00. It has so much stuff and I can just fill if I need something more... did you say where you got the tracing for writing pages? The squiggly lines, straight lines and such?

hi i'm a childcare provider in my home in the uk (childminder) do you do the same themes yearly? do you change them each year?
Caroline B Wow you’re from UK what is childcare like there? How many children are you allowed to watch in your home? What ages. I’m in Ontario Canada
@@Playing_with_a_Purpose hi childcare is doing ok here. In our own home we can care for no more than 6 under 8 yrs of age at any one time but can only have 3 under school age and only 1 child under the age if one. We are governed by Ofsted who make up all the rules. There is a bit of flexibility in ratios ie twins etc. I watch US daycare providers on TH-cam and they seem to have bigger ratios than us! x
I keep the same themes each year. I may change some activities, but with it being an entire year between the theme being repeated, the kiddos think it's brand new the next time it comes around :)
Are weekly or monthly themes best for 3 year olds?
