They stripped this game off its most iconic feature, such a pity

I love that Nintendo 2021 isn't the big hitters, but more of the smaller titles that don't always get the chance to shine
Metroid, Pokemon, Zelda
Pretty big year in between all the brilliant smaller titles. It's the best of all worlds and i love it!

Though in all seriousness, I’m definitely looking forward to this game. As we haven’t had a traditional console WarioWare game since Smooth Moves, and since I haven’t played a WarioWare game since then, I’m definitely diving into this one faster than the characters go inside the game.
You haven’t played Gold? You should definitely give it a shot, it’s fantastic.
And the multiplayer… MAN, is it good

Wario Land?
...He's had like 6 or 7. Granted, the first Wario Land was still a Mario game with largely Mario-style gameplay similar to SML2, so I guess that one wasn't completely unique, but then there was VB Wario Land, Wario Land 2-4, Wario Land Shake It, and Wario World, and unlike the first Wario Land, the later ones are much more unique and not as dependent on Mario-style gameplay.

I’m hoping to play this game with my mom. I’m optimistic since you only need the control stick and a single button to play, but I’m concerned the fast pace will throw her off. Maybe I should have her play the demo with me first…
on first glance, I thought the game was gonna be a quick, cheap cash grab.
but after playing the demo both solo and co-op? it looks OUTSTANDING.
imo wario ware is a great franchise
I thought Warioware looked dumb at first, too, but it was a glowing X-Play review for Warioware: Twisted back in the day that got me to try it out. Been a fan ever since!

It's so good to see that even though Iwata is no longer with us, the WarioWare franchise is still alive and well. I hope to see this team also work on a new Rhythm Heaven game in the near future!

I saw some footage here and there I'm kinda bummed they returned to status quo on this one from the vibrant voice acting and cartoon shorts of Warioware Gold. It filled us all with optimism for the future of the series back then.
I heard that some people didn't like these. I personally found them to be great but it was a bit unusual.
Yeah, the lack of voice acting was a missed opportunity. I do feel that the character interactions before the stages more than make up for it, though.
On the plus side, we won’t get people complaining about the voice acting. I legit saw someone say the English voice acting in Gold was “fake audio”, and that they wanted to play with “real audio” (Japanese). I guess Charles Martinet is fake.
Man I didn’t know they still made these! The one I played was Warioware untouched on the DS. Definitely grabbing this when my switch arrives. Thanks for posting!
THE TOOTHPASTE GAMECUBE DISCS!!! So back then, if your gamecube disc wouldn't work, a possible remedy was to use toothpaste. Maybe it got rid of debris but not the scratches.
Did this with an XBOX 360 game the other day.
I've used the toothpaste remedy many a time, and it hasn't failed me once! 😁

at 6:19 we appear to get a glimpse at a wario cup challenge that hasn't appeared yet! having it based on showdown really opens the floodgates for what wario cup challenges can be
I've played the demo on 2 player versus. Already hectic fun.
I'm definitely getting this game, I'll probably enjoy it, too, but I can't help but think about the missed opportunity here to use the other Switch features like motion controls, touch and IR camera.
I'm glad they didn't do that, actually. While I loved Wario Ware Twisted, I think adding different types of controls undermines the simplicity that makes the original great. I imagine many people (myself included) would get quite frustrated if they had to ask themselves at the beginning of each minigame, "Okay, do I use button controls, motion controls, touch controls, or the camera?"
@@blizzagasaga8676I mean, WarioWare Smooth Moves kinda did that with different ways to hold the Wii Remote, not to mention WarioWare Gold.

It’s because of the switch Lite, there’s no IR camera and using motion controls by moving the entire console can be annoying
I'm okay with it not. Wario Ware Gold was a good celebration of all the gimmicky hardware-reliant stuff they used up until that point and it doesn't need to follow up with more of the same. I enjoy the new direction for this game.
Ok, but when are we getting the warioware character tierlist?
I’m glad they kept the controls simple. It holds true to the original style and I’m not a huge fan of having to memorize a variety of controls
Really enjoyed Gold especially because of the full voice acting, and really happy it'll be back on Get It Together
But my real memories was with D.I.Y on nds, found so much brilliant yet bizarre fanmade microgames back then..
It's a bummer that lag and latency would ruin any sort of online play. Though with the Big Brain Academy announcement it'd be nice if it could get a similar system to download ghost data. One can dream. 🙂
In the playopedia where you can play individual microgames. Does each micro game have a set score for you to complete ( for example 15, 20, 25 pts) or does it only show you your high score?
I'm so glad Nintendo hasn't gotten on the microtransaction train for their console releases. I can just imagine how other companies would've ruined this experience with that kind of nonsense.

Does anyone really take guidance from IGN? I love their podcasts but find their scoring off at times, I guess all reviews are the opinion of a single person. Either way I’m amped for this the demo is quality. On a side Shift Happens is on the craziest sale, pick that up last night and seems fun.
What I'm curious to know about is this, in the case of two player characters like Kat & Ana and Dribble & Spitz, is it possible to choose one or the other in single player mode? Like instead of playing as Kat you could play as Ana who to my knowledge is only playable in 2 player mode is what i'm asking.
I rented the Wario games from blockbuster/ family video as a kid, and I'll be renting this from the library when it's available!
I don't get the whole lack of VA for Wario, maybe I could believe Nintendo's infamous IP Managers swooped in to deprive us of more joy but they've been perfectly happy for Wario to speak in the marketing.
The Paper Mario police wrecked Intelligent Studios again and forced them to arbitrarily simplify or whatever
I love the rabbit mini game, it's so cute how you have to set make sure they have a nice meal
If you don’t have quite enough money to buy this game on your own, you could always go half and half with a friend or sibling and “get it together”. I- I’ll show myself out.

Glad Warioware is still amazing! Love this year so far & it keeps on giving, next is SMTV, Metroid Dread, Mario Party, Advance Wars, Big Brain Academy... honestly it's only 2nd to 2017.

I played smooth moves on the wii and it was hilarious, the demo for this one is good enough for you to check if you wanna buy the full version (I already ordered my copy)
@@tonydelat2322 I've downloaded the demo, so, I'll definitely give it a go. I tend to do a lot of single player, so, I'm hoping it's just as fun solo; the co-op aspect looks like the main selling point.

The Warioware Cast has been playable characters in Warioware Mega Party games for the Gamecube
And I suppose Game & Wario as well to an extent

Question for anyone that can answer. I play solo mostly, but do play with my 2 kids at times. Ive played Mario Party back in the day but never this. The new Mario Party is looking good. Is it worth to get both or should I stick to MP next month? Any opinions are welcomed.
The Mario party would be worth it more than this imo, since mario party is a bit more kid friendly, especially if they’re younger. The new MP is going to be porting aspects from the previos games so honestly I think stick with MP and if you wanna try warioware, you can get the free demo on the eshop

@@daniw.4077 I bit the bullet and bought this today. It's hard for me to resist a new Nintendo release because they're just so darn fun. Played the story mode with my 11 year old and loved it. Next month is Mario Party!!
Motion controls suck ass anyways, they don’t always work right. I much rather have the controls simple.

I can't agree that this is the best WarioWare to date. It's good, it's REEEEEALLY visually polished, but... Idk, it lacks something that the other ones up to Gold had. Maybe I just miss the different control schemes from Smooth Moves and Gold.
Is the wario dance on the game? That was my favorite part of smooth moves

I think these games are so much fun with friends even before it had multiplayer. You would try and get the highest score possible and then pass it to your friend for their shot. This was back in the DS Lite days me and my mates would play the crap out of it.
Man, shoutouts to Nintendo for making the pre-release event for Wario Cup the literal final boss, so any reviewer showing it off basically has to spoil it.

Though, isn't it just peak Nintendo that Wario isn't allowed to have voiced dialogue anymore? I guess even the funny fart, money, and garlic man isn't safe from "consumer friendly branding."

@@Mysticalturkey Shake It! released on the Wii and it was pretty good, though it lacked the edge that the originals did (Good Feel made it, so the music and tone resembled their later Kirby and Yoshi stuff more than Wario).

The Wario Ware series is very underrated.
I’m glad they didn’t choose to have motion control. I appreciate the simplicity of it and the fact you can use a control. I have yet 2 play it in playing Tales of Arise.
