With respect to the accumulators, maybe DDE can replace them for you at a reasonable cost as they figured out how to replace the accumulators in the Senna.
I thought about DDE as well when he said that, but I don't think Manny would send the P1 to a random shop, even if it's to DDE who has certified mechanics, because as he said in the video: "it's an investment".
So he would probably always send it to a authorised Mclaren dealer for proper paper trail/warranty.

p1 accumulators are 4 times the price of those from a senna. it’s not the labor, it’s the parts
They actually changed the accumulators for the senna in their shop but i think the ones for the P1 will be absolutely different

@@ethanrbutler @ethanrbutler I think you'll find that Manny is where he is by being clever with his money and no matter how rich you are, when you have 2 options for a charger, a new one at $30k or servicing yours for $5k, I think it's clear what most people would do.
Tavarish is using a shell of a p1, he is going to use another built motor, he is getting rid of hyper system, so is it going to be a p1 at the end?

Manny there are companys making Batterys , which are more light have more ev range and are also more powerful , as well as efficient and cheap than the original , made specifically for the Mclaren P1

The P1 is one of those things you own, and no matter how much you say to yourself that you are ready to part ways with it, you just can't do it. I love your P1, and it definitely is a keeper.
Knowing this about the battery in these types of cars, it may degrade its collectibility over time.

Obviously, the battery in the P1 is not analogous to a typical 12V battery for a non-hybrid car. Also, there are aftermarket vendors who can supply a battery for the P1 that is superior to the McLaren replacement and much much cheaper. Think about that.

The successor of the F1 won’t have a McLaren badge. The T.50 will be the car parked next to the F1 at the concords in the future, not the P1 or the speedtail or any other McLaren. McLaren built the F1 but Gordon Murray created it. The biggest if not only reason the F1 got built was to keep Gordon at McLaren.

All of those expensive parts are available cheaper if you avoid mclaren. Every McLaren model is like that.
It is a also my favorite! It seems every owner who has P1 said on TH-cam that this is their favorite!
As others have said, the GMA T50 is the replacement if the F1.

You sit upon mountains of money. What in the world is preserving the miles on a P1 gain you? By the time it would come time to sell, you'll either have so much money that whatever you would gain from the sale would mean nothing, or your family is selling it because you are gone. Lots of people with good suggestions to save money. I don't think he's too worried and as investments he'll want all servicing to be done by the respective dealerships with paperwork.

Manny just have the accumulators replaced, don’t let them sell your shocks. Accumulator is what makes it ride like that. You don’t drive your car enough for the shocks to go bad. Unless the seals are leaking.
started 2/3 seconds early when timing 0-60mph in e mode. so it was about 6.7seconds max

Manny's P1 in e-mode is faster than my hot hatch from the 80's 😂
His car is going for 2.5 mill with 5k miles. His has 800. Plus with all the dealer maintenance he does / preventative, Manny’s is an easy 3 to 3.5 mill. He bought it at 1.2, profit triple up already.

All flipped. Especially the GT. Sad as there were LOTS of actual long time Ford customers who got shut out and the allocations went to "influencers" and TH-camrs, who you knew were going to flip it the minute the 2-year moratorium ended! Sad really.

P1 is a great investment, but I think you'd be happier driving the 750S. It pulls and corners just as hard, if not harder, and isn't as fragile or costly when something goes wrong.
