Just normal printer paper. Nothing fancy!

All the scraps gives me anxiety. I think I will try it but with pieces of fabric closer to what is actually needed.

Yes. Totally!!! Your pieces only have to be 1/2” wider than your paper section. You can totally use smaller scraps 👌🏼

I think I’d prefer… cutting and sewing without the paper 😅. Paper seems not a great backing for fabric in a sewing machine as particular as mine. 😂
