Helping creative makers and beginners to sew with confidence! Because sewing doesn’t have to be scary… but let me show you ❤️
I started sewing as a new mom ten years ago. Totally self taught using the magic of TH-cam. Since then, I got published in several sewing magazines, had the opportunity to work with amazing companies (such as Janome and Aurifil) and now I get to teach you.
In easy step-by-step PDF sewing patterns I teach you how to make the cutest little bags and pouches. Quick projects to finish in one sitting - quick satisfaction guaranteed.
Suitable for beginners (and all sewing skill levels really).
I'm crazy passionate about sharing my best sewing and quilting tips with you. Helping you to create with absolute confidence. Thanks for being a part of this amazing, crafting community! ❤️
PS. Sorry in advance for the strong German accent 🦄✨

Girl do you make those zipper pulls? I've spent hours scouring the internet and can't find them lol
I've looked at several bag tutorials on TH-cam this is by far the best. Thank you.
Pattern?
Very nice. Thanks
How long do you make your strips
Love how you rounded the corners. Great idea, thank you!
Klasse Naehanleitung.
Ahh Danke Danke ☺️
May loving cute fabric never change and never be shamed:)
Hahaha yes!!!!
Me again ... check your fabric has no stretch at all. A costly mistake and a waste of sewing time. (I must be thick to have struggled with this, as everyone else has breezed through.)
I'm on my 8th bag (Dignity Bag charity) and have been glued to the video instructions, on slowest speed, each time, for the ZIPPER! There'll be a good finished bag but I wouldn't call it "easy". I'm not a top class sew-er but I have been sewing for 40 years too.
Do we have to sew the part you left of lining to flip it ?
Yes. You can close the seam by hand or machine ❤️
@@sweetcinnamonroses thank you The video was really helpful
Are the measurements of the outside & lining 6x7 in? Thank you so much! this is beautiful!
Do you have a tutorial for this?
It’s a pattern by a friend of mine. You can find it on Etsy, it’s by Elizabeth Woo ❤️
@@sweetcinnamonroses awesome thanks!
I’ve actually watched like 8 tutorials, but this one is the BEST. I don’t like to be doing bindings so I really appreciate your great way to make this
I just finished my bag and the videos were super helpful. I made mine from denim for the outside and would NOT recommend that to others - it is just too thick, and even my very strong sewing machine struggled in places. The pattern is good, the directions are clear and I will be making another one soon!
Too fast!
You can watch the full (and much slower) tutorial here th-cam.com/video/yj1xmg8W9Ng/w-d-xo.htmlsi=goIxKZA-HBm0Linx ❤️
Your tutorial is by far the easiest to follow!
Thanks so much! Glad you like it ❤️
I just finished this duffle bag, thank you for the video & pattern. I did figure out how to add inner pockets & on the other side, a zippered pocket. I made the large one. I omitted the long strap & buckles, but was very dissapointed at how short my handles are. I would advise others making this, to add at least 2-3 inches to the handle measurement. I have been sewing for 40+ years & did not measure them wrong. Otherwise, it was a fun make
So happy to hear how easy it was to customise your duffle bag. Sounds amazing. And re the straps, if they were a little short for your liking, you can definitely make them longer ❤️
Awsome video!! Where do you get your plastic d rings etc pls
It’s pretty much all from Etsy! You can find the exact items linked on my blog if you’re interested sweetcinnamonroses.com/blogs/blog/easy-duffle-bag-sewing-pattern ❤️
Does this video show the largest version in this pattern? Can't wait to try it!
This is the “happy happy bag” size, so the medium one ❤️
Thanks for this very clear video. I’m about to tart making these blocks and I appreciate this very much!
Glad it was helpful! ❤️
Wow.. Beautiful work... If I may ask , which machine do you use? Im looking at options to upgrade my current Brother . Thanks in advance
I’m sewing on a Janome M7 (it’s the big sister of the 6700p). Love both machines ❤️
@@sweetcinnamonroses oh wow.. Infact Janome 6700P is on my list of options. Would you recommend the 6700P to someone who is making pouches & organisers to sell? Im confused if i should go for this or an industrial Juki may be. Any guidance would be helpful 🤍
It’s very similar to the Juki I would say. Of all the Janome machines the 6700p is the most industrial I think. Mostly metal, durable and a workhorse. But I would always suggest test driving her locally. See what you think using her.
@@sweetcinnamonroses Thank you for your suggestion, I will definitely test drive the Janome machine to gain a better understanding. Your input is greatly appreciated, especially considering your experience with a higher model. While I have always had a fondness for Bernina machines, budget constraints are currently influencing my decision-making process. The value for money offered by Janome at this point is certainly a factor I am considering. Your advice is invaluable, and I will carefully consider it as I make my final decision. Thank you for your help ☺. Take care.
Ahhh so glad I could help a little. And I agree, I do like Bernina and Pfaff as well but you get a lot more for your money with a Janome machine (especially the 6700p and M7). Good luck and please let me know how it goes ❤️
Are your corners 1”
It depends which size you’re making! You can find all the measurements in my sewing pattern here if you’re interested sweetcinnamonroses.com/products/quilted-boxy-pouch-sewing-pattern ✂️❤️
Beautiful!! Raw edges are the worst, I need this pattern!
Agree. They are so annoying and can definitely be avoided 🙌
Where is part 1?
You can find part 1 here - Easy Zipper Pouch Tutorial 🥨 (part 1) th-cam.com/users/shortsdo4QCJfi3WA?feature=share
Hello, love your channel! Where did you get that foot with the 1/8 th inch hole in it? That is an awesome foot. Do you know if that foot would fit a Juki TL2010? Thank you
It’s the HP foot that comes with my Janome M7. I’m afraid it will fit in your machine (as you also have to use a matching needle plate to get it to work) ❤️ Sorry it’s not that straight forward… 🫣
Where can we find those adorable teddy bear zipper pulls?
They are from Etsy. If you like to get the exact same ones, please check my blog post. I’ve linked all the materials I used for the bag… sweetcinnamonroses.com/blogs/blog/happy-happy-bag
Amazing… I love some of your patterns & will be buying them soon 👍🏻
Brilliant. Happy you like them ☺️
What size did you cut out of the corners. This is a great bag!
You can find all the measurements for the bag in my sewing pattern sweetcinnamonroses.com/products/happy-happy-bag-sewing-pattern
It’s hard to hear what you’re saying with the music so loud. You can turn that down or not have it playing
Sure. I will have a look into it 👍
Do you have a pattern I can purchase?
I’m afraid not. This is my a different designer. You can find her on IG (sewmaryhappy). She has a free tutorial for the strawberry ❤️
Thanks for the tutorial! Can you tell me the name of your presser foot? Is it for a low shank machine, snap on foot? Thanks!
I am sewing on a Janome M7 and using mostly my HP foot in combination with my HP needle plate and standard needle plate to create my 1/4” and 1/8” SA. Works like a charm but it’s quite specific to this machine ❤️
I’d wondered for ages how to make a boxed bag and found you on IG. Have now made 2 of these bags and there will be more! Thank you ❤ I watch your videos on repeat while sewing as the music is peaceful and it’s easy watching x
Ahhh you’re so kind. Thanks so much 🥰❤️❤️❤️
اول تعليق ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 أين القياسات بالضبط فهي غير واصحة؟؟ للاسف

Wowww
Ahhh so glad you like it ❤️
This tutorial might have just saved my sanity!
Hahaha that’s brilliant ☺️
Mine too!!
Wow this is amazing i know you took time to do this. Thank you
Ahhh I am glad you like it. And I really appreciate your kind words ❤️
Do you have a suggestion for how to knot it at the end? I’m still new to sewing and I don’t want to mess it up with a big knot sticking out!
Just like when you’re starting. Just twist it around your needle a few times and then pull it down the needle. However you tie it though… it’s important to bury the know in your lining. You will never see it again ❤️
¿ Medidas?😮😮😮😅
You can find all the measurements and step by step instructions in my pattern 🤳🏻 sweetcinnamonroses.com/products/easy-duffle-bag-sewing-pattern ❤️❤️❤️
Hi! When you do quilt batting, do you use jean needle or normal needle?
That’s a very good question. Technically you could use a normal needle but I’m lazy and hate changing them. So I’m using a jeans/ denim needle ALL THE TIME. Making sure it doesn’t break on me when sewing through loads of layers of fabric, zipper, batting…
Thank you, nicely done.
Thank you. So glad you like it ☺️
Thank you ❤
Ahhh I’m glad it’s helpful ❤️
What,s a meserment each part
You can find all the measurements in my pattern over on my website - sweetcinnamonroses.com/products/easy-duffle-bag-sewing-pattern ❤️
I really like this video plus the music. Thank you.
Ahhh thank you. You’re so kind 😘
Please 🙏 stop playing music in the tutorial, it’s just so hard to concentrate on what you’re saying, it’s very distracting. Your videos look like they would be very good otherwise, so I’m looking forward to maybe future ones not having music 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Would you please make the tutorials without music, it’s very distracting, otherwise it would be a great video thank you 😊
Noted! ❤️
Excellent tutorial! Thank you! Your channel just popped up in my feed! I subscribed immediately !
Ahhh that’s amazing!!! Thank you ❤️
Sewing is my therapy! I’d say cheaper than but no…
Hahaha agree. Not cheaper but heyhooo… ❤️❤️❤️
Have you ever tried the zippers that you get on a roll and cut to size? I use them and they’re really handy
Not yet. But I would love to give it a go ❤️
