They want the data that they will get by you driving their China made vehicles, so you are giving away your personal data to China and if you believe that is a good thing then you should do a little research. Again there are reasons why products are less expensive and its not because it actually costs less to make its because they want something from you.

How about not supporting China and their government funded EV's. There is a reason they are so inexpensive.
So Holden did not get funded by tax payers then closed shop? What about government motors? All government will support their own industry.
