I really love this interview with one of my favourite youtubers Mark Rainford I've watched everything he's put out over the last 10, 11 months too he's such a insightful guy extremely knowledgeable, great memory for all cars he reviews I'm glad you met him at the Zeekr expo I thought you would, I haven't yet contacted you I met you at the recent Ev show in Melbourne you'll remember, I always seem to bump into you at these events , talking about that there's an Ev event on at the Manningham council 27th of October . With new Seal coming soon, some may be putting off (like me).

Battery prices are down 2.5% annually Also sodium ion batteries and semi solid MNC batteries are coming next year . Many EVs will have to lower prices next year with the arrival of new battery technology.

XPeng are Delulu thinking their base model g6 can be close in price to Tesla y. Wait for the price drop

I think the issue with byd electric sales declining this year is a lot of us are waiting on the updated ev versions with the better battery and ev3 platform and it seems byd are just dragging their knuckles on releasing information and delievery times for the 2025 seal and sealion 7 and are instead focusing on the sealion 6 and shark due to a government subsidy for phevs ending this year. I've been openly critical on byd for this decision in even making the sealion 6 which i think is a product conflict with the sealion 7 and I strongly believe byd should have been pushing the shark as their premier phev model and tbh I think the shark is something that is more needed in Australia than the sealion 6. If its tray and towing capacities are comparable to that of ftrucks hiluxes and the likes I think it would make a good vehicle tradies and road tripers alike who aren't convinced on the towing capacities of pure ev's. I strongly beleive byd has a made a marketing error on this one.

Poor Suckers who bought before the price cuts now you EV is worth less than 50% or more, and still no resale value :( Well I hope someone will scrap it for free ???

XPENG G6, Tesla Model Y killer, has charge port on wrong side for Tesla Superchargers!!! Mona M03 is a true Tesla Model 3 killer, it has a real hatchback and charge port is on same side as Model 3 :)

Thanks for the video. For me, BYD made a big mistake with their glacial response to supercharger charging issues (seal, atto, dolphin). A new provider has to be laser-focussed on their nascent user group and treat them very well. I have now lost confidence in BYD, but am open to adjusting if they improve.

Yeah you would think BYD have to adjust their prices 🤔 The EV landscape will look better than ever next year!
