(tr)uSDX CW POTA in Village Creek State Park - K-3060

- This is the video of the CW POTA activation in Village Creek State Park, K-3060, located a couple of hours east of Houston on the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve.
Equipment used:
- DL2MAN & PE1NNZ's (tr)uSDX transceiver a.co/d/0FCueAf
- EFHW antenna built from locally sourced parts at our Ham radio club
- 6-pack of 18650 Lithium ion batteries (6 x - Ultralast LION 1865-26)
- CW key designed by K6ARK & built by a local Ham (contact me at my QRZ email if interested)
- Aiworth 72 GB Digital Voice recorder a.co/d/iKg9ml3
- Sony ZX Series Wired headphones a.co/d/h970dfU
- Maxpedition Gear Beefy pack a.co/d/6cnbXYM
This park activation took place in the early afternoon with temperatures in the lower 70s.

You need working on immediate and accurate decoding, the reason why you're so nervous. The other stations are not keying anywhere near fast.

Thank you for the comment. I don't think it was nerves as much as other stations causing QRM and the station I was trying to copy suffering from QSB. Of course I intend to continue practicing CW. 73.

@@babass521 Of course, bien sur. Il y a 3 batteries en série et 2 banques en parallèle. 3 x 3,7 V = 11,1 VDC per bloc. 2 blocs en parallèle donnent 11.1VDC. By having the 2 banks in parallel, this configuration allows for a higher current draw. However, I have found that my (tr)uSDX draws so little current that I am now experimenting with a single bank of 3 batteries: 3 x 3.7V = 11.1VDC. No parallel bank. Less weight & smaller size.
