My wife just bought a new 22 EX-L, great car, I think I like it better than she does. I liked her 16 CRV but this 22 is far better, seems to have more room inside and the features are fantastic. Great car ! Keep it up Honda !

Don't lay anything on the center console (area around the cupholders or tray below the arm rest) if you want to keep it looking new inside.

I own a 2021 CRV EX-L model, and I have to say it's very agile in heavy traffic switching lanes, it can parallel park fit in almost any open small spots in the major city, gas mileage is amazing, and very reliable in the winter easily plowing through deep snow to get wherever. I'm now a faithful fan of CRVs, so when it comes time to exchange my old CRV, i'll be trading it for a brand new one...FOREVER :)

Our CRV got totaled in an accident but my daughter and her boyfriend walked away without a scratch. They were T-boned by another car that was traveling about 40-45 mph, it was a side impact and the CRV passed with flying colors. There may be flashier options but the safety, fuel economy and roominess cannot be beaten, My biggest gripe is the lack of heat in cold winter temperatures and the tech is not great but overall it is a solid vehicle.

We have a 2020 CRV Hybrid and are really enjoying it. One quirky thing I've noticed. If you take it to a self service high pressure car wash be really careful. Twice I have had the rear hatch start to open during the wash. I am not sure if the water with soap foam is running down over the sensor or what. Also if you are walking around the car spraying it etc... with the key in your pocket the doors will lock and unlock several times especially if you're near the front doors. Other than this small quirk we have been very pleased with the car. It appears to be exactly like the model that was shown here. Touring Hybrid.

@@jeniferleigh6032 When it comes to a hybrid, Toyota appears to have the most reliable systems. The Prius set the standard and Toyota hybrids always get good reviews. Honda does well too, but you can’t deny all the bells and whistles in the Tucson, plus the outstanding warranty. The Toyota and Honda will most likely have the better resale value and higher reliability, if that is important to you. Test drive all of them and see which one is right for you. With all the pluses of each brand it would be hard to go wrong with either one. Good luck in making your choice.

I had a 2017 EX-L. It was great for how much it could carry. I cross-shopped all the other similar-sized crossovers like the RAV4, Forester, and CX-5. The CRV had the best combination of space and utility, drivability, efficiency, and safety features.
But it was never really interesting to drive. I eventually replaced it with a 2021 Passport Touring that is a huge blast (but comparatively inefficient).
I am very interested to see what Honda does with the upcoming 2023 CRV.

I was coming out of a 2018 Civic (which didn’t have that feature) before I stepped into the CR-V. I have a 21 EX-L. I like it overall, but the plastic in the center console is crap. It should not scuff/get nicks in it so easily. I hate having paid for my first brand new car and having it look old inside no matter how clean I try to keep it.
If you get the non hybrid and live in a cold area if you take short trips oil dilution can still be an issue.
For positives the back doors open q full 90 degrees. Other size SUVs' rear doors do not.
The auto dimming rear view mirror is a god send.
The CVT is smooth. I see people claim it and the 1.5 liter engine are under powered but it had more power than the non top of the line (turbo) cx5s, Subarus and Hyundais I test drove. Only the rav4 felt a little bit more powerful to me.

I have 2021 hybrid touring & its great gas mileage for those who drive with patience. If you try to go faster even on eco mode gas mileage drops a lot. Drive with patience & keep limit 40-45 you will get 37-39 mile/gallon. Drive little quick drops to 33-35 mile/gallon. Went to Orlando. Drive 70-80 got 27-28 mile/gallon, coming back drive 65-70 cruise got 31-32 mile/gallon. Good for city driving with easy going. Due to regenerate brake battery charge & give good city mileage. Also its heavy due to battery, big disadvantage is NO SPARE TIRE. Tire repair kit may help you with little nail issue, spare tyre always a plus on a family vehicle specially if you go for touring. Overall not bad, not the best for the money i would say after using for 6/7 months.

You should always use a flatbed wrecker if there is a concern over damaging components. Sometimes it may cost a little more but it will save your peace of mind.
I have a 2013 CRV with 130,000 on it. I've only had regular maintenence done no problems. Then again, I believe in being proactive in changing shocks, tires, water pump, timing belt and other parts that will wear out. I'm planning on getting 250-300k miles if I can. Treat your vehicle good and it will take you a long distance.
My thought is throw some money into maintenence and not a car payment.

Great video as usual. I have one and I’ll include one big pain with something that’s on all the models of the CRV and that’s the horrible stereo that can’t keep a Bluetooth connection or connect to Apple CarPlay. It’s very annoying.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Of course a 360 degree camera would help a lot.

Bending and twisting the appearance of a classic alienates the existing customers. Personally, I love the classic lines and if Honda feels the need to "modernize" a look just a couple years old they'd be missing the mark on what their buyers want.

What, if anything, did Honda do about the oil dilution in that turbo engine that ruined the vehicle. The old engine lasted forever, this one...doubtfully.
