The Alpine Coaster ride at Leavenworth Adventure Park in Washington state is a real thrill, mixing a fun toboggan ride with incredible views.
I rode it twice - one time using the brakes a little, the second time at full speed. Here's what it's like.

what do the "Here 80ft" signs mean? there were several in a row all with the same measurement so it's not elevation or track length left.

You have to keep your cart at least 80 feet from the cart of the person in front during good weather or 160 feet when it's wet. There didn't seem to be any danger of getting that close though as they keep people spaced apart much farther than that, so I imagine it would only happen if someone got scared on the way down and applied their brakes hard.
