Exciting bear encounter on the road to Alaska
While driving up through British Columbia, Canada on our way to Alaska, we spotted a black bear by the side of the road. We pulled over to get photos and videos and ended up having a much closer encounter than we'd anticipated.

We just saw you yesterday (4th of July) in Seward, AK. We were the gray mini van right behind your car as we were circling the end of the National Forest to see whether or not I wanted to stop by the bathrooms. There were a lot of people and a few tourist buses. We made a couple of trips around the circle before I decided not to use the bathrooms there. We live in Wasilla and decided to drive out to Seward and then to Homer for the day.

what do the "Here 80ft" signs mean? there were several in a row all with the same measurement so it's not elevation or track length left.
You have to keep your cart at least 80 feet from the cart of the person in front during good weather or 160 feet when it's wet. There didn't seem to be any danger of getting that close though as they keep people spaced apart much farther than that, so I imagine it would only happen if someone got scared on the way down and applied their brakes hard.

Hello what is that white machine for?
I'm not sure. I think it might spray out something that coats the outside of the cotton candy to help it keep its shape. It almost looks like it's spraying moisture, but that would dissolve the cotton candy, so I don't know what it is.
They pour sugar into it then it melts it in a way to make it spray out and float around, but it sticks to things around them if they are spinning, so the stick takes it and they decorate it if wanted.
