- With the Sacrifice close at hand, this video attempts to bridge the gap between the Apostasy Prologue and the events that may or may not occur when it finally is released.

Strange, i was always of the opinion that Ballas' form exemplified the orokin aesthetic. He looks like a cool marble statue and its hard to tell whether he has sacrificed form for fuction or vice versa. Build and caress with one hand, restrain and destroy with the other.
Its worth noting the Ancients all have one large arm also, leading me to think it was a popular (or biologically standard) trait of high ranking orokin.
The asymmetry for them is just a form of beauty in an alien context, much like lip plates in africa or tiny tiny feet in asia

Are Ancients hinted towards being Orokin somewhere? I mean, it makes sense, now that you mention it, I was just wondering if there was more to hint this than just the theory making sense.

Areurz Not really. It's in the corrupted ancient entry, and it's specifically mentioned that healer ancients are turned from Lorists, who are not Orokin.

Got some chills while watching this. These theories are super plausible, and frankly I’m hyped for the quest no matter what it ends up being.

Those orphans all have their own ship and stuff, and can feed themselves WITH THE FLESH OF THEIR ENEMIES. I'd say she deserves some break.

I always thought Ballas' speech was to the Lotus, and he was offering her a chance to save her beloved children from a terrible fate that was fast approaching.
His millennia of regrets culminating into a final act/hope of redemption for him: The Sacrifice.
He has more knowledge of the Tenno and their development and history than anyone else alive now--he knows their strengths, their weaknesses, and what drives them. He knows how to save them, and how to destroy them.
I think he is going to give us a gift, but at a cost....
That or Stalker, actually.

It STILL has not sunk in, even having been given the trail to follow through the Apostasy Prologue, that has been so deliberately and intentionally laid out that there is literally no way to get out of it until you follow every fragment of dialogue memories which all transpired between Ballas and Margulis, all the way down to the bottom of an infathomable pit which ensures that it is the operator and not a Warframe listening to the final exchange which is presented between them, granting us witness (aurally) to everything that precedes her sentencing, while stopping just before we actually get to hear what it is, that Ballas could even possibly be talking to anyone BUT Margulis in what is heard in The Sacrifice Teaser? What we “know” is that Margulis and the Orokin were a at such odds with eachother that it incurred their ire enough to sentence her to _______. And that only in the wake of that was Ballas able to carry the Tenno/Warframe project forward. Any last words before ______?
Ballas also give the tenno mean of revenge against the orokin after they executed margulis.

I personally don't see the rot and decay angle for Ballas. I think the idea is just simply the Orokin culture had grown/degenerated to the point he was considered beautiful. As the Orokin worked out how to use the void across their eras they stopped being constrained by the limits of physical reality in tech and from that, biology, and the end result was something along the lines of a literally statuesque stone skinned immortal with asymmetry because the base body and its symmetry was likely considered pase. Incidentally, the lower caste who would probably follow this like a trend being whats now the ancient infested, the arm surviving the milenia of refining as a testament to Orokin genetic mastery.
(I have no evidence for that last part its just a hopeful defense to keep Orokin as unique and amazing as they should be, these days I suspect DE would just go 'lol orokin have big arms, done.')
The rest of this I love. It sounds plausible. It's a very safe bet on everything up to the Umbra justification but that is the best I've heard so far for that too.
I do wonder where Ballas' powers come from. I can imagine as a high ranking Orokin he likely has some level of admin permission over a lot of old technology Lotus/Margulis/Natah would likely use, rely on and even be made out of, but I'm real curious as to how that'll go.

Yeah no shit, but theres a dozen potential sources and natures of that and I want to know where we're going with that. Some are real bad (he can shut down warframes with a wave if its admin/actual knowledge of how they work) but if it just void stuff and things hes made, shounen battles away. Helps tune what we can expect with the upcoming sacrifice, especially if there truly is one of some sort.
i think ballas will shut down our warframes and we will have to find the umbra one to defeat him.

These lore videos, not just helpful, but show how insane Warframe's story is. Its simple, yet not. But the best part of it, its almost like we are watching the story unfold right before our eyes

A lot of people seem to take Ballas as a bad guy.
What started as a silly question quickly became a story that just makes too much sense.
What if Ballas is not the bad guy and in fact he was in on the tenno plan to kill the orokin maybe even being the one to come up with it in the first place?
Pretty much all of the trailers for the prime frames can be interpreted as a low key insult to the orokin (such as valkyr's trailer explaining how they're fools for letting go of their animalistic side which will come back around to bite them)
Perhaps Ballas even optimized the warframes to murder the orokin.
It makes a lot of sense as both the tenno and Ballas cared for Margullis.
It would also explain why Ballas of all people would survive the Orokin slaughter, he was never really a target.
It could just as well be nothing but confirmation bias and there's something I missed which contradicts everything I just said...
That is a possibility, but if the shackles on the tenno were lifted at the best moment and they were given carte blanche on killing all Orokin around, you can bet your ass more than one tenno wanted to kill Ballas for what he subjected them through, I know I would.
So ballas decided to go full order 66 on Orokin.

Just because he's become a victim now doesn't exclude al the crimes he's committed in the past.

I love your videos my dude, always so interesting and (hopefully) rehearsed. Do you perhaps think that the people that dwell in the umbra warframes resent the tenno? Much like the stalker, they were probably loyal enough to gift their bodies for the Umbra project. The exact nature of the betrayal is also not that clear, we know they killed margulis and the lotus made them do it, but tenno are not so dumb and since ballas survived, I'm sure the emperors wouldn't be that easy to kill. Maybe some orokin elite are still very much alive, waiting for the opportunity to strike, but they're getting impatient, since the tenno are rapidly and mysteriously uncovering all secrets known only to the void and becoming stronger both in mind and in body. (the amps and the new focus system) Which made them send ballas. You said he felt guilty about what he did to margulis, but he also felt guilty for betraying the orokin, so much that he kept the project going, even after margulis was killed.

So I'm going to throw in one nugget of info that Steve confirmed awhile back. So if you remember the old loading screen that was in Tenno-bet it mentions a "Margullis implant" Steve mentioned on Twitter awhile ago that the screen could play into the Sacrifice
And when everything comes out to be entirely diffrent, DE will sneak around a corner and shout: DID YOU REALLY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THIS EASY?!

The Infested were made by the Orokin. It's possible that the arm was not of Infested design, but of Orokin.

WFs 🤔 in a class all there own 🙄 becuz as we see the gold plates tere the same as the ones on the prime WFs but yet ppl dunt tend to see em as a prime WF 🙄 would the umbras purrhasp be a new seperte type of warframe 🙄???

It's cool, but it takes away from the Stalker's character in my opinion. Unless they make it seem like the Stalker was a controlled frame, forced to murder by Tenno and watch helplessly? Although, that wouldn't fit what the Stalker has already said and the lore surrounding him.

I think the first Warframes were once Dax Soldiers, Excalibur especially due to his sword based abilities. They were possibly volunteered or forced to become mutated by the infested into Warframes and due to everyone having different body shapes, the Warframes too have varying body types
Considering that the quest is called "The Apostasy: Prologue", I'm pretty sure the quest isn't called the Sacrifice anymore.
Not only the Umbra frames would be sentient tho. I still remember how my Oberon pulled a space sword out of himself. Perhaps frames gain sentience even a few minutes away from their operator's transference, and the umbra are those left abandoned to walk the system for centuries. Would explain Mesa, and Chroma.

Wait, I'm a little confused. Is Natah actually Lotus, or is Natah someone else? If so, who? If Natah IS Lotus, and therefore Margulis, then how does that work?

On stretch armstrong having been twisted or subjecting people to mindfuckery; It's possible that their decadent society had different standards for beauty.
I think Ballis's deformities aren't considered bad, teshin mentions that the beautiful and unique children were picked for new bodies, while Twins were considered ugly by default and the mass copied Grineer were the height of ugliness, his arm and skin may well have been very in keeping with the beauty standards of his culture,

do we actually know if prime frames are the first version of every frame and the vanilla frames are rather the ones we mass-produce? because it could be possible for vanilla frames to be around during the orokin era, wich would give a complexity twist to the tennos social hierarchy, making vanilla frames the ones used by low ranking tenno while the prime and umbra variants would be rewarded to those in higher positions

The warframes are the ones that sacrificed themselves to provide a protecting shell for the tenno.
The qustion is, what happened to Umbra's tenno? Did he sacrifice himself for the warframe for once - Leaving Umbra in constant agony?
If you get lucky with the man in the wall, you will have a dialogue. He asks "hey kiddo, what do you think?" and you answer "It was me, I killed issah (the son)" So that means Umbra was being controlled by our tenno?
I always tought that Stalker was one of the first tenno, like a guniepig. All the horrible tests are the results of his pain and hatred to the Tenno, because he is one too. (At least in my theory)

Helminth and Nidus seem to have some sort of significance to the creation of warframes. Bc of some of helminths dialogue and his role as just this sentient mass in your ship, I originally thought all frames were twisted and warped "volunteers" of the empire, seeing as it moved with it's own sentience during TSD, as if truly caring for it's operators safety. Can't wait to see where they take this, great vid as always.

Ballas manages to bring Margulis back through Lotus, And we must choose between them, Sparing the one we choose but dooming the other.

So I have wondered about this so long. Ballas is an executor and those honored 7 decided to "kill" Margulis but is Ballas one of the honored 7 ? Ballas seems to be sorry for Margulis but have they said why Ballas is sorry ?
He might not be sorry about Margulises death because she seems calm about her death but could they be talking something about the tenno ? And why would Ballas vote for death of Margulis (7 hands raised) ?
He may have voted yes to her execution to make other orokin leaders believe he was not a traitor.

Here's my theory: ballas still has the consiousness of margulis, and we have to choose to either have natah or margulis in the lotus' body.

Calling it, Umbras involve the Tenno sacrificing their OWN body for once, becoming self contained inside their warframes. This way, people can choose and then stop bitching about having to be children.
Thats not gonna happen. DE put to much effort to make Tenno to just throw them away now. The quest is called SACRIFICE, because it will explain what was sacrificed to create Warframes.

Perhaps it involves Stalker?
The reason Stalker's so fixated on you, specifically - how he always knows what you've done, where you are - why he couldn't finish you off for Hunhow - it's because he was your Umbra - and there's the residual connection he has to you that shattered during the hibernation. He's linked to you deeply, but fears becoming your slave-tool once again. The guilt and shame he has over what he did under your control has turned into his drive to punish you for continuing your "murderous" ways of boss-farming.
Stalker aint your Umbra though. Stalker is a low level guardian of the Orokin (probably a human), who wants to avenge death of his lords. He used transference to get into his Warframe, but transference is much harder for people who arent the Tenno, thus Stalker lost the connection to his original body forever.
Umbra means shadow, Shadow Stalker is a modified Excalibur Umbra.
Does that mean stalker is a umbra frame?
