Thank you Sharla for this video. I do know all of these tips after years of making freezer meals. But I’m here to say if anyone is considering joining the Freezer Meals 101 Club, I encourage you to do it! Christie and Sharla share wonderful and unique recipes for the most part, unlike the typical recipes out there, and they’re always adding and inventing new ones💗

Sharla, You can freeze Whole Tomatoes if you are going to cook them down later for making your own caned sauce.

Thank you so much! The flowers were a graduation gift to our daughter from one of our sons and his girlfriend.

I seem to remember you said about your husband being keto? Can you do some of those? ❤❤❤❤

He did Keto off and on for awhile but hasn't done Keto for a long time. We have quite a few Keto recipes on the website but we try to stay away from doing videos for any particular diet.

We have frozen onions in our stores. I've had them and they seem to lose flavour. But they look good as if they are fresh. Looks can be deceiving yes?

Some onions are stronger than others even when they're fresh and within the same variety. I have had frozen onions that are great and some that are bland. I think it's more about the onion than the freezing. Maybe worth another try?

Does it matter what type of potatoes? Because even cooked ones the texture is off and "mealy". I almost always use white potatoes though. Mashed seems fine, but nothing cubed.

I think Russet potatoes are the best at almost everything! Despite their name, they are a white skinned potato and you have probably used them. I think they need to be parboiled or just barely cooked through. Overcooked potatoes are mostly likely to go mealy. Ironically, we typically overcook mashed potatoes to make sure they mash well, but because when we thaw them and reheat them, we stir them and make them creamy or fluffy again, they don't seem mealy. I guess it depends on your end result. Keep trying! Or if you just never get it quite right, consider adding them fresh they day of cooking. That's totally ok! Good luck!

How do you reheat the mashed potato scoops?

You can reheat them in the microwave or on the stovetop or even in a toaster oven or oven.
