We are a retired couple who never had children. Watching this anyway. Love you guys! Cheese bottom and top. I have found a new plastic wrap called Glad Freezer Wrap. It is blue, so you can tell it from regular plastic wrap. It is thicker and does a better job of keeping things from freezer burn.
Thank you for letting us know about that. I don't do my own shopping, so it's always nice to have someone tell me about new products to ask my husband to pick up.
@FreezerMeals101 I have bought it in Alberta before, but that was over a decade ago. I can't remember where I bought it ,exactly. It would have been at Extra Foods, IGA, or Walmart
Ok that was a long one. I had to watch it in two parts! No, I didn't skip through because I didn't want to miss any stories! I needed some girl time. Much love to you both!
It’s my day off and I’m binge watching the last several weeks content from you ladies and boom a new video! Cheers and thanks for the easy, delicious, home cooked convenience food. It really saves me some days 💫✌️
Yea my favorite ladies. I’ve been organizing as well. Bought some totes to organize my freezer and I have some meat coming so I can make more meals. Cheese on top so it holds the toppings on definitely. When using the roller I spray some cooking spray on it so it doesn’t stick.
cheese on the bottom and the top - it helps hold everything on. Used to be an ad for a frozen pizza here in Australia - 'Cheese on the top and on the bottom eh Papa!' for Papa Guiseppe's pizza
I am from Chicago land manyvmoons ago and now an Texan from marriage but i still do crust sauce sprinkle parasmean cheese then toppings then shredded cheese 😂 but love the " favorite " child we do same but we have 6 boys ( 4 grown sons now but 2 under 12 yr old ) 😂😂😂😂 its fun and they thought they had something over the brothers 😂😂😂
36:36 Tabasco sauce is actually made about 30 minutes from my house (Avery Island, LA)! So when you come down to south Louisiana to visit we’ll take a tour 😜
I don’t eat carbs but my 2 little grandchildren come frequently and I’m always needing something they can eat. These give me great ideas to toss in the freezer for them. Thanks!
I love every time a new video is released. This might be one of my faves. Obviously I started watching because I love the idea of freezer meals but then I continued watching because I adore your friendship with each other. This one became even more relatable with the raising kids challenges. The story was hilarious and so many of us have been there and are currently going through it. Disappointment and sadness is definitely a stronger tactic in my household too.
Raising kids is not for the faint of heart but raising teenagers takes it to a whole new level. I was recently visiting friends in Calgary and was telling them the story of Sharla and her son and the rooster and a couple sitting near us stopped me as I was leaving to say they heard the whole thing and were laughing so hard! They had a 15 year old daughter and could relate! 😅 Raising teens is kind of universal. Thanks so much for your kind words.
Most people’s fingers are an inch from the closest knuckle to the end of the finger (for the thumb and index finger). The middle finger is a bit less than an inch from the tip to the first (distal) knuckle and 2 inches from the tip to the middle knuckle.
So I actually measured my right hand (thumb and index finger) one day several years ago (need moment?)! My thumb is 2inches long, from “crease” to the tip of my index finger is 4inches, if I spread my thumb and index finger all the way apart (confusing?) it’s 6inches from tip of thumb to tip if index. My family never believed me. But then I showed them
1:11:45 With your cream cheese and ham pinwheels, I made these for my daughter for most of her life. The only difference is, I would throw carrots, green peppers, onion, zucchini (whatever veggies I had available) in my food processor until the veggies were tiny. Then I would mix the veggies and a bit of ranch powder in the cream cheese before spreading it on the tortilla. I have also put a dill pickle spear on one end on top of the ham (or her favorite...turkey) before rolling. I cut them into 1" or so slices. She is grown with kids of her own and she makes them for her kids now.
Hi from Minnesota. Sometimes Minnesota is called slightly other Canada. Maybe that’s why our pizza is all mixed up. You might get cheese first. You might get poppings first. You might get cheese in the crust and on the crust and then the toppings and then more cheese.
It would be lovely if you could have Rose over to make a batch of her salsa with you with this year's tomatoes and peppers. Even if she doesn't want to appear on camera, she could just be in the background showing you how to do it off camera.
Hmmm. It would get extra juicy with the freezing of the apples. I do it with pie and it seems to work. You'd have to experiment with this... If you freeze it let us know how it goes.
I know this may be funny to some but I know that you two ladies are in Canada. My daughter's boyfriend is leaving soon out of the US to go to college in Ontario. Can not only you suggest ideas for college students in dorms but also the best cellphone company to get unlimited talk time and data in Canada?
Yikes! His poor bones! I remember my brother having growing pains and having to ice his legs and rest when he grew so much one year. Actually I don't remember it. I was probably four years old but I know that it happened. Did that happen to your brother?
@@FreezerMeals101 He still has bright red stretch marks around his rib cage.(he's 52 now) His wife asked who whipped him the first time she saw him without a shirt.
I also had a well behaved child. They never gave me cause for concern. However, three weeks before their 18th birthday, they failed to come home. We could not find them and were unable to call their friends by the time we realised. Their friends had to be up at 4am and we realised they were missing at 10.30. They were doing work experience and were not there when my husband arrive to collect them at closing.time. We called the friends at 4am and were told our child had been walking towards a town, 20 minutes drive away, about 11 hours earlier. My husband drove to their college and waited for the buses. Eventually they arrived. He ordered them into the car. They had no explaination. Later that day, they tried sneaking out. Several times over the next 2 weeks they attempted to catch a bus but my husband or I would be waiting and made them get in the car and come home. Then as quickly as it started, it stopped.
Sharla, I want you to save your back and move your coffee mug so that you can more easily reach. Coffee is important and I get why you might want it close but...
The best way to open an English muffin is to push the tines of a fork straight into the middle of the edge, all around(maybe 3-4 times) and it will easily pull open, no crumbling.

I'm so pleased you joined us. And I wonder if we get Glad Freezer Wrap in Canada. It's like it would certainly be helpful.

Fellow Albertan here, cheese on top.

Sounds like you will be ready to start the school year off well!

I love story time and snacks.
It's the best!

Oh my! That, story about the party is hilarious 😂and has reminded me of a similar thing that happened when one of my boys was 15

Deal!

Glad to help!

Dang!! I haven't seen you two in ages! I stopped getting notifications apparently. Your kitchen looks great! Love the update!❤❤
So glad you found us again!!! Thank you. I’m so happy with how the kitchen turned out.

I love your dedication to this topic! 😅
Cool! I'm learning something new!
I’m from Nebraska and I have always put my sauce on then toppings and then cheese on top last .
Nice! Me too!

I love any opportunity to sneak in extra veggies. Great idea! ♥️

That’s a funny observation! (and probably at least partially the reason it’s mixed up!)
Doesn't everyone love Dylan Hollis? Hilarious
Love that kid!
In my area (New England), they sell the crescent rolls in sheets, so no seams to squish together!
That would be so handy!
Tabasco is made on Avery Island in Louisiana. You can tour it.
I knew someone would know!! I would totally go on that tour! Thank you!
The correct way, sauce, cheese, toppings, more cheese 😂
And then more cheese? And more cheese? This is correct! 💯
It would be lovely if you could have Rose over to make a batch of her salsa with you with this year's tomatoes and peppers. Even if she doesn't want to appear on camera, she could just be in the background showing you how to do it off camera.
That would be really sweet!
Not sure if you can freeze them. Slice apple rounds core out then put peanut butter and sugar/cinnamon. Bake.
Hmmm. It would get extra juicy with the freezing of the apples. I do it with pie and it seems to work. You'd have to experiment with this... If you freeze it let us know how it goes.
I have 5 younger brothers that I didn't have to do anything except tell them I was disappointed in them and they'd crumble!LOL.
Such an effective but underused tool!
I put cheese on the top and bottom of the toppings to keep them in place
I love it!
Cheese, then toppings

Cheese then toppings if there's leftover cheese it goes on top.
That seems like kind of the best of both worlds!
Cheese on top for me; toppings on top of the cheese for my husband. I don’t think my son cares which way the pizza is made, as long as it’s made. 😂
I agree with your son!
I do sauce, cheese then toppings..
I put topping on first then the cheese. I am in Scotland.
That's how I grew up making pizza too.
I've heard that round ended jalapenos aren't as hot as the pointy end ones.
Hmmm! I'll have to check with the boss to see if she has observed this!
My brother was 5'4" in May and was 6'4" in September of the same year.
Yikes! His poor bones! I remember my brother having growing pains and having to ice his legs and rest when he grew so much one year. Actually I don't remember it. I was probably four years old but I know that it happened. Did that happen to your brother?

Thank you, Christie! I commented before you moved to help. 😂
😂😂😂
Eeeek!! Iam an epicure rep!!! Christie can I be your rep?!
lol anytime!
My girls.go back on monday...
So early! But maybe they're done earlier than our kids too. We're done the last week of June and start back up the last week of August.
I wonder if you got more than 10 pizza wheels because you rolled it up the long way instead of the short way.
They got 17
This could be a possibility.
We found out if you cut open English muffins they are too flat. Tearing them open yields nooks and crannies. I do toppings and then cheese
That makes sense - nooks and crannies! I love it!
you asked, are you a cheese first and then topping or visa versa? Im in the US and i dont think there is a toppings and then cheese person here 😂
They're out there... Lol
The best way to open an English muffin is to push the tines of a fork straight into the middle of the edge, all around(maybe 3-4 times) and it will easily pull open, no crumbling.
Great tip!
Use a fork to help break a part english muffins faster!
That sounds like a useful hack. We'll have to try sometime.
